It's a rainy and windy Sunday here in the south of Norway. Three cups of coffee and you guys are helping me trough the last stiches on the Slipstravaganza-I-cord😊 I do enjoy your fibercast! And I keep thinking how alike knitters are inspite of where we live in this world, what age or gender we are. We all share that entusiasm for a new pattern, lovely yarn, amazing colors, and often the same sence of humor😅 Thank you for sharing 😊
Completely agree! This community goes much deeper than location, gender, etc. It’s been amazing meeting everyone and really fun to learn how alike we actually are! 🥰
Great episode guys ! The lighting and sound was fine. I did miss Ray’s “ nine inch circular needles.” Lol - I listen to you with my ear buds and and it tickles my ears - I’m weird. Loved Ethel and Carlotta last episode. I do hope they make a return at some point - if they can manage to escape the nursing home. Kevin, I love those hats. That green one looks perfect for one of my Sons. Happy belated Anniversary, May you have many many more. 🌹Huge Rachael Ray fan here. I cooked her meals when she first started 30 Minute Meals on Food Network and have many of her cookbooks and cooking implements. Both of your SW shawls are gorgeous. I am excited for the monthly live shows and talking about your favorite things is a fantastic idea. Love you guys and hope you have a safe , healthy and Happy Thanksgiving. Julie from Indiana
Hi J Nova - Thank you for all the kind words. Your son would love the Hatch hat, it is a really great knit. We miss 30 minute meals, I remember seeing that they were planning on bring some new limited episodes out.
I enjoy your podcast. I love the chattiness between you guys! Thanks for showing us your purchases, books you have read, the beautiful yarn.... easy and relaxing in this crazy time! Stay healthy and keep creating!
Thank you for talking about no shave November. The story behind the cause is truly beautiful. A friend of mine died over ten years ago of colon cancer, leaving eight children. They were still young, with limited sources of income, but they wanted to come up with a way others like them could raise money for cancer research. They figured that if people gave up shaving for a month, and donated the money they would have spent on shaving supplies, it would be an easy way for people their age to contribute. The cause took off. I know their dad is extremely proud of them, wherever he might be.
Aww what a great story! It’s so encouraging to see the love and ideas that focus on helping others and bring awareness. I’m sure their dad is extremely proud! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰 Thanks for sharing 🥰
So fun! Ethel and Carlotta are always welcome. Always have to watch Its a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol, Scrooge with Captain Picard and A Christmas Story (particularly the kid in the bunny suit , you will shoot your eye out the little boy who falls down in his snow suit and "I can't get up". Take care
Very late to this party (episode) but the lighting wasn't an issue from this side of the screen: you both look fine (i.e. splendid). Great shawls and fab facial hair. Kevin, I didn't comment on the previous episode when you talked about your yarn pantry but I applauded that speech. You were so very earnest! And your thinking is sound. It makes perfect sense (at least to me) to have a store of materials to use when a pattern, design or idea strikes. And - depending on how it's stored - it's also art. It's home decor. You guys are great. I love the rapport you guys have. Carry on being amazing! (And I swear I am NOT buying anything else any time soon. You two are the WORST .... as in best .... in getting me worked up about a new maker, designer, pattern or yarn. Well done!!!)
So excited to see this pop up in my notifications! I’m not even 4 minutes in yet, but YES on the cinnamon and orange peels and clove for smell factor! I have a potpourri crockpot I whip out every year around this time. I use cinnamon sticks and whole clove in there. Since clementines and mandarins are abundant in my house, we just toss the peels in with the spices and it smells amazing. Carlotta really knows what’s up! Back to listening!
Just found you - loved your session - lighting and sound was fine. Love seeing podcasts of fellow New Englanders. While You Were Sleeping isn't considered a holiday film but it takes place at Christmas and New Year. The Holiday is also a favorite as is White Christmas. Happy belated anniversary!
It was so much fun! You all did a great job and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We really loved how you included everyone and such great conversation. Wonderful to be part of this community 🥰
I feel I am late to the party! So glad that I found you guys. Enjoyed seeing what you are working on. You both are so talented. And Happy Anniversary!!!!!
Aww gents you literally made my day. On lockdown again here in England so you bought a little sunshine to my Sunday morning. Happy belated Anniversary xxx
Hi guys. Enjoyed the video. No lighting or sound problems that I could tell. Perfect at my end. Your shawls are gorgeous! Lots of work but well worth the effort! Take care.
Christmas movie favs: Prep and Landing, 12 Dates of Christmas, 1966 How the Grinch Stole Christmas. My youngest loves Frosty so we end up watching that multiple times.
Great chit-chat guys, my hubby doesn't like any Christmas movies or Christmas music! So I hope there will be something on youtube for me to watch! Rain and wind here in Ontario, Canada, a knit worthy kind of day, lighting & sound was great! Working on my Christmas knitting still and I have been invited to display some of my knits for sale in a very small shop in town, November 20th is meet the artistian that's the day for me for four hours, hopefully it will be a nice afternoon! We are probably headed for some kind of lock down soon, our numbers are going up! Stay safe!
You mentioned the Santa mugs growing up. I have a collection that I've acquired over a decade from Ebay and antique stores. I put them out every December. They range in size and style (most from the 50's) and I have over 50! I'm new to your podcast, and I love it!
Awesome episode! I love you guys!! Last podcast I had to wait until Sunday to watch because it was my anniversary...last night I had my champagne ready to go since the day was sort of "blah". My husband saw you both and asked what the special occasion was and then he saw you two gorgeous men!! So I had to come clean and let him know that we are all working on the Stephen West Slipstravaganza knit along! LOL. He did agree with me about Kevin's eyes and Ray's lips so he poured himself a glass of champagne and watched with me! I am almost finished with my shawl...love it but ugh! Long, long rows!! I absolutely adored Ethel and Carlotta - Kevin - loved your eye makeup!! I love your podcasts! if you ever want to come to Texas - you are welcome at our home!! I'll show you my "yarn pantry". LOL
Your lighting and sound are great! I just started my first pair of socks, and guess what? NINE INCH CIRCULARS! So far, so good. Thanks for the inspiration. My go-to Christmas movie is A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott. My plan this year is to watch every holiday movie I can manage. I enjoyed the fiber cast and I’m looking forward to the next live episode!
Thanks so much Cathy!! We agree! We started our Christmas/Holiday movie watching last night! LOL. It completely made me want to bring out all the decorations 😆
Kevin, you have inspired me, I have to knit the Hatch hat now! I have Brooklyn Tweed Arbor in the fig colorway in my yarn pantry and never was sure what to make with it. The watch cap is perfect as I hate cold ears.
Did not notice any lighting or sound issues. Enjoy your podcasts each and every time. Thank you for showing your projects both completed and in process. My go to movies, White Christmas, national lampoons Christmas, and Elf, and of course Hallmark xmas movies.
I love Ray's whip sound effect! And you naughty boys, mentioning Knit Picks sale, $66 later... 😜 The lighting was just fine. Thanks for another great episode.
We made a huge pot of mulled apple juice for a Christmas party one time, and everyone who arrived exclaimed about how wonderful it smelled. It was a VERY popular non-alcoholic drink at that party. We also put a crock-pot of it on before heading out snowmobiling on a different occasion, and came home to the most wonderfully welcoming aroma and a delicious warming beverage. Perfect way to warm up after a cold afternoon on the sleds.
The lighting and sound are great! I love your shawls and color choices ! I am working on the clockwork using miss babs killington in reishi. Love the live ! “It’s a wonderful life” is a must watch!
Everything looked and sounded great on my end! I love watching you guys! I enjoy watching the classic animated Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. I watch them throughout the year, here and there to comfort me. Thanks for all the ideas and information. You guys ROCK!
When I need to make a cable, I usually grab my tapestry needle. It is small, and works nicely. Your large shawls are amazing. Like both of them, and the colors make them look like completely different patterns. Enjoy your shows!
Hands down my must watch Christmas movie is The Family Stone! My husband and I watch it multiple times every year over the holidays. And the house used for the exterior shots is in Greenwich, Connecticut 😊. The writer/director Thomas Bezucha is hugely talented and I’d recommend any movie he’s had a hand in!
Hey guys! Thanks to Ross at Smells Like Yarn for his shout out about your channel! I just started watching you on UA-cam and really enjoying your interaction with each other and the showing of your knitting (and crochet, but I am just a knitter). I have started watching your videos from day 1 and making my way through them all. Just completed your 2nd live podcast. Sooooo if these two ideas are late to the party, just ignore them. lol. I am a Harry Potter and Downton Abbey fan!. Back in early 2000's there was a pattern on the HP scarves on line, which I still have. If I remember right, it was the pattern for the original scarf pattern used for the movie. I knit all the house colors. Did you know that Very Pink Knits has a Downton Abbey hat on her channel? Did you know if you soak your circular needles in HOT water for about 10 minutes max and lay flat with heavy object on top for an hour or so it will relax them and make them so easy to use? Love your videos and look forward to watching more!
That Hatch Hat is great, think I might try that. DK and worsted hats knit up so quickly!! Both your Slipstravaganzas look amazing, Kevin's was always bold & graphic, & Ray's is really coming together especially with that lighter colour for contrast. I love what your young admirer (Mary Pat's client) did with the twine, that's very creative. Lighting & sound were fine. See ya next time:)
OMG shout out to my town Two Rivers, Wisconsin! I was born, raised and now am raising my family here. So excited to know that Cresent Woolen Mills is milling Barret Wool Company's fibers! Barret Wool is in Madison, Wisconsin.
The sound was good and so was the lighting. I love watching your podcasts. I saw the picture of your puppy on Instagram and love him he looked so peaceful.
Hi guys!!! Lookin' good!! I don't have a storage closet, I have a chuckroom!! 😂🤣😂 I actually have a mini crock pot that I use just for potpourri.... So that yarn is chainspun?? Aran & worsted are the same thing!! 🤣😂🤣 I actually don't have any interchangeable needles, all of mine are fixed and I have at least 2-3 of every size, it was that "speed bump" that I was afraid of.... Both of your shawls are absolutely gorgeous! I want to do Steven West's brioche and bubbles..... I loved the less than subtle hint at 'what do you want for Christmas'!!
Enjoyed your podcast as always. Loved your FO’s and WIP’s. The shawls you are wearing look great too. I was making some Christmas socks while watching you guys. My only wish is that you have your podcast once a week - :)... Cheers!
You both pick wonderful colors to go with your patterns!!! We just introduced my 5 y/o to Home Alone. And this week we are watching all 3 of the Santa Clause movies. Hope you are both well, and the fur baby too. 🙃🙃🙃
Another great podcast. Thank you for raising awareness for men's health. The lighting looks fantastic! Happy Anniversary. I love that green and grey together on that Joji shawl. And I really love the pantry termination. Much of my studio has been re-named. Thank you again!
I love Chicken Parm!!!! This is such an odd memory I have, but my grandparents had this electric frying pan that my mom got when they passed away, and it's the only way my parents would cook using grease since we had a gas stove. And I always remember them cooking Chicken Parm in that thing. That hat is awesome!! Looks so soft and warm for sure!! I am in love with greens and like mustard yellow. those are my loves. That green hat looks amazing and warm!!! And being on the east coast, that's good to have!! My lungs and balloons don't work!! LMAO. I have a bin of knitted items... but it' in the closet. I knit but don't wear. LOL. Hats are my favorite to make. I need to make the Pure Joy. It's so pretty and I love your color choices. I think the Dotted Ray's in Exploding Cornish Pixies would be fun!! I love that shawl in Avocado Toast!! I didn't know that all about the No Shave November. Not a clue that it was to raise awareness! Those socks are amazing!! I want to dye some blanks. I need to make some of the Coffee Talk. Not that I need more knitting... LOL That Koolhas hot is amazing but man... If I casted that on I think it would take me 2 years. LMAO! I'm sure its easy but I am so easily distracted. It will be beautiful far away and close up!! That Blanket looks like its gonna be so warm! Those Steven West Shawls are amazing!! You two knocked it out of the park and those colors you picked are on point!!! Ray, you need to give yourself way more credit! You can literally knit ANYTHING you want!!! Knitting is nothing but Knits and Purls done in different formats. One row at a time! Your shawl is so amazing!! You both knit so many amazing things!!! I love her new logo! And yes I saw it! HAHA Congrats on the win!! It's always nice to win something!!
Love watching you guys. Was excited to see it after hubby went to bed and I can sit and knit and watch you on the TV. Lighting and sound was perfect on my end. Tc stay safe from PEI CANADA
I'm also a huge fan of the Santa movies and like Edavan X "The Holiday" and "Love Actually". For older movies I like "White Christmas" and "Christmas in Connecticut". My husband and always start the season by watching "Christmas Vacation" on Thanksgiving night. This year I'm going to decorate early at the beginning of December--feel the need for some joyous decorations!
Kevin and Ray, I really enjoy your fibercast (brilliant I must say, shoutout to Aaron and Chip for that). I am currently wrestling with my slipstravaganza shawl, over 900 stitches on a 40" circular is no joke as you well know 😂 Thank you for providing a much-needed distraction during these strange times.
Hey Tonic - It is a labor of love this shawl. Ray is moving on nicely with his, I have found some extra stitches that I am deciding how I want to handle.
Loved the podcast and while watching I was able to complete another inch or so of the bo on my slipstravaganza. The bo is forever.... thanks for keeping me company.
I love your podcast, I just recently found you guys and have been binging every episode for the past 3 days, I'm sad now that I have to wait for the next one, I could watch you guys all day!
You guys are awesome!! E. Lynn Harris is a great author who wrote a series of male/male romance novels from an African American perspective. He's since transitioned but left this world a treasure of thoughtful, realistic and complicated stories. My go to classic holiday movie is Elf..LOVE IT!! I'm looking forward to watching Jingle Jangle on netflix this year, it looks really good. Love you guys!!!
Giggling like an adolescent-Hardwood. We have the Woodcock Johnson as an assessment in our school, try saying that with a straight face in a TEAM meeting. Kidding aside, you gents bring me joy in these crazy times. Great progress on your fab projects. Stay well.
Love the beanie. I just learned that when you do a new color and you have knits and purls, if you just knit a round with the new color you won’t have those places where you see the change.
Loved your episode Kevin and Ray, the lighting was fine on my iPad. As for Christmas movies The Polar Express is one of my favorites, Jack Frost and all the childhood Christmas movies
Thank you for another episode! I laughed out loud when you pulled out the cube where you giant cake is living! Also, your hats look amazing. I loved watching you knit on twitch and then seeing the finished objects! Also your slipstravaganza look great! I also have problems with yankee candles not burning all the way across. I love WoodWick candles, they burn great and they crackle so it has all the feels!
Random thoughts....oh yeah! i missed the 9" circular needles voice! I always get a giggle out of that. That blue and cream is going to make a gorgeous cowl on Kevin - fabulous for his skin tone and omg his eyes will POP! The lighting looked great to me, guys. I had high hopes that Tarquin might do a cameo, but maybe another time. Will check out the candles you were talking about at the end, and I may have to pick up A Discovery of Witches and check it out. I wonder if my Wiccan cousin-in-law would have it...Thanks guys, this was lots of fun !
Hi Roxi! 9" circular needles will be back next episode. Glad to hear the light was good. If you read A Discovery of Witches, let us know what you think of it.
The lighting is fine for us. All your projects are great. Your shawls are going to be fabulous. Can’t wait to see them finished. I always have to watch Miracle on 34th Street (original) and Little Women (original). Of course all the Hallmark movies. I think talking about the things you really like and maybe your favorite things to gift to people would be great.
Hey guys, always enjoy watching and sitting and knitting a bit with you both. We often are reading or watching the same things. Lighting and sound was great. My family and I have a lot of Christmas movies we watch every year. The Christmas story, Elf, Fred Claus, White Christmas, both Bad Santa movies, Arther Christmas, The Grinch, and Family Stone ( though there are some awkward scenes) to name a few.
Totally agree with your assessment of Marcella. It's well written with great character development. My favourite part of most British crime drama is that there are usually no guns. They HAVE to be smart. I once saw a car chase (maybe in Marcella...) where someone was moving a flock of sheep in the road and the criminal had to get out of his car and book it across the moor. The cops did likewise cuz there were no guns and you can't run over sheep, right!
I thought the lighting was fine. I noticed immediately how good the video looked. Don't change a thing. As far as holiday must-sees, I watch as many versions of A Christmas Carol as I can. I usually read the book too (it's a quick read). Holiday specials: Charlie Brown Christmas, Grinch, Rudolph. Would you believe I never watched Good Will Hunting until this year? And I went to MIT in the early 80s. It was one of those movies I figured I'd watch "one day".
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast I really liked it. I had trouble figuring out which MIT lecture hall they were in at the beginning of the movie, then I found out that the interior scenes were shot at a different college. 🤓
You definitely need some longer cords. I only use ChiaGoo needles and get them from Handsome Fibers. I’ve ordered multiple sets of size 6 tips and 22” cords since that seems to be what I use most. Have several 40” cords too. They offer free shipping and many holiday specials during the year. I highly recommend their shop.
Fab episode as always. I’m so glad u discussed Ethel not letting Carlotta tell us how to make the house smell nice! 😂😂 My go festive films are- home alone 1&2, Scrooged- with Bill Murray and the Richard Attenborough miracle on 34th street.
I miss you Ray! Watching these videos makes me feel like I'm hanging out with you again! Hope all is well! Maybe I need to learn to knit something toasty for winter!
You guys are so funny. I don't know if you've noticed this Kevin, but every time you get interrupted you take a drink. New podcast drinking game perhaps? LOL love you both :)
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast aww I’m sorry! I was just sitting here thinking hope I didn’t offend Ray! I love the two of you together, I just thought it was funny when Kevin kept picking up his drink lol. Ethel was just excited to be podcasting I think! ❤️
Hi guys! Ray you sound like me, I always have to save the box in case I have to return the item. Your lighting is fine on my end. Like that watch cap. That will be hubby's Christmas gift. thanks
Also, on my last podcast, I had soo many WIPs, I think 7, so Ray I completely understand how you are feeling with working on everything and what is bringing you happiness.
Yes the 5 inch is better...I'm doing a cabled blanket out of the Bernat Blanket version of that yarn and started with my metal 4 inch Chiaogoo and switched to 5 inch bamboo...it's going much better now...I have only been knitting for about 6 months so the bamboo is better for me.

I like "wip happpy"! I'm totally using that phrase when someone asks about how many current projects I have on the needles.
Haha 😂

I like how you often compare yarns to food...whipped cream, ice cream. It's great.
Lol Chari! Everything always comes back to food.
Muppet Christmas Carol every year 😁
Yes!!! Totally forgot about that one!!
Total classic moments!! Great movie choices!! We already started last night and watched the Santa Clause 🤪

Hi Pam - Love the idea of a potpourri crockpot for this time of year.
Always great to visit with you both
Your shawls are beautiful.
Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it.
The lighting is fine. It isn't dark on my phone. As usual I love your podcast.
Thank you Carol! Glad the lighting is still good.
Wonderful episode, glad that I have returned to watch more of you guys. Love it. The lightning is perfect, it never got dark.
Thanks for coming back 😀 We really appreciate it 🥰
A belated happy anniversary! So glad you had a great time!
Thank you so much Doris!
Lighting and sound were perfect.
Good to hear Sharon.
Fabulous episode - lighting and sound was perfect too -
Thank you Anya.
That shawl! I can imagine it in a dark orange and browns and see a monarch butterfly! I may just have to give it a go.
OMG if you do, please share your progress! That’s going to look gorgeous 🤩

Hi Deb!! Welcome 😊 Thanks so much for the feedback! Great movie choices!! 🥰
Still swooning over your Slipstravaganzas! Thank you for joining KP Knit Night at Noon - it was fun! And we are figuring it out as we go! 😉
It was so much fun! You all did a great job and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We really loved how you included everyone and such great conversation. Wonderful to be part of this community 🥰
Sound, lighting and close ups are perfect!
Thank you Mae, glad both were still good for this episode.
I feel I am late to the party! So glad that I found you guys. Enjoyed seeing what you are working on. You both are so talented. And Happy Anniversary!!!!!
Hi! Thank you so much for checking on the channel, we really appreciate it.
Aww gents you literally made my day. On lockdown again here in England so you bought a little sunshine to my Sunday morning. Happy belated Anniversary xxx
Aww Thanks so much Katy!! It brings us sunshine when we read comments like that. ❤️
Hi guys. Enjoyed the video. No lighting or sound problems that I could tell. Perfect at my end. Your shawls are gorgeous! Lots of work but well worth the effort! Take care.
Thanks Sandra!! Glad the quality was ok. Fingers crossed the shawls will be done soon 😉❤️
Drying over a balloon. What a fabulous idea!👍🏻🧶🧶🧡🧡
Hi Debbie - The balloon works great, I use a rubber band to "tie" it so I can reuse the balloon.
Christmas movie favs: Prep and Landing, 12 Dates of Christmas, 1966 How the Grinch Stole Christmas. My youngest loves Frosty so we end up watching that multiple times.

The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's totally a Christmas movie!
Lol 😂 Whatever works 😉
Belated Happy Anniversary 🎉 Your projects are awesome. Take care and stay safe.
Thank you Susan!!
I've been watching y'all on and off all afternoon while working, knitting, etc. I sure appreciate the nice long visits!
Aww thanks so much! We love visiting with you all ❤️

Wow!! I love that!! How festive your home must feel around Christmastime 🥰
Marcella is fantastic! Happy Anniversary guys. Best of the year ahead for you. MC
Hi M.C.!! It really is, I am almost done with the first season.
Awesome episode! I love you guys!! Last podcast I had to wait until Sunday to watch because it was my anniversary...last night I had my champagne ready to go since the day was sort of "blah". great episode. the sound was awesome and the lighting was great to me looked very natural
Awesome! Thanks Chris, it’s always a gamble when trying something new. We’re glad it worked out 😊
Did not notice any lighting or sound issues. Enjoy your podcasts each and every time. Thank you for showing your projects both completed and in process. My go to movies, White Christmas, national lampoons Christmas, and Elf, and of course Hallmark xmas movies.
Hi Renee - Glad to hear the lighting and sound were both good. National Lampoons Christmas is one of Rays go to movies.
Love you guys, all your knits, audio and light 👍. Beards perfect, everything A+. Take care. Susan
Thanks so much Susan!
You have to watch ‘The Holiday’ and ‘Love Actually’ ... my must watch movies for the holidays (and beyond) :) Loved the pod, as usual!
Thanks so much! Both of those movies are awesome!! We are very excited for holiday watching this year!! Great suggestions, thanks!
Those are my fave too and Elf
I love Ray's whip sound effect! And you naughty boys, mentioning Knit Picks sale, $66 later... 😜
The lighting was just fine. Thanks for another great episode.
Hi Julie - LOL hope you got to order some nice things.
Ummm YUM 😋 I love that 🥰
The lighting and sound are great! I love your shawls and color choices ! I am working on the clockwork using miss babs killington in reishi. Love the live ! “It’s a wonderful life” is a must watch!
Hi Kathy - The Clockwork is a great knit, if I remember there are a lot of stitches on the final rows.
Yay just found your podcast this is totally going to the top of my must watch as soon as its released list. Love it.
Aww thanks so much!! Welcome to our little corner of shananagins lol 😂
Thank you so much Angela! Frosty and Rudolph are classics, love those movies.
Your lighting and sound were perfect!
Awesome! Thank you 😊
When I need to make a cable, I usually grab my tapestry needle. It is small, and works nicely. Your large shawls are amazing. Like both of them, and the colors make them look like completely different patterns. Enjoy your shows!
Hi Ann - Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it.
I LOVE that Woolfolk yarn! I knit my Stephen West Sports shorts with that!!! LOVE!!!!
Hey Bob! The yarn is amazing! Those must be some soft shorts :)
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Oh YES! LOL
Hi Linda!! Thanks so much for coming by!! We didn’t know Stacy from very pink knits had a Downton hat 😃 Well have to check it out! Thanks again 🥰
Love the slipstravaganza shawl. Gorgeous!
Thank you!! Loved the hat you recently showed and the sweater you finished for Mr. Yarn Curator. :)
Everything looked and sounded great!! You guys are the highlight of my Sunday afternoon!! Thanks for a great episode!
Aww thanks so much!! We really appreciate it 🥰
Lighting was fine! Love both your shawls and hats!
Aww thanks Pat 🥰
Everything was fine and enjoyed your fibrecast again. Thank you!
Great to hear!
Hi Mesheela - I highly recommend the Hatch hat, it fits really well and it a great knit.
you both look wonderful, the camera reads better than what you are seeing. love you both! xx
Thank you Cat!
Stripe with a blue and or yellow! That would be gorgeous! 🤩🤩🤩 Thanks for the hat pattern suggestions!
Awesome suggestion!! Thanks!! ❤️❤️
OMG shout out to my town Two Rivers, Wisconsin! I was born, raised and now am raising my family here. So excited to know that Cresent Woolen Mills is milling Barret Wool Company's fibers! Barret Wool is in Madison, Wisconsin.
Oh how cool!! Do they allow tours?
Not dark at all. Lighting shows projects really great. Missed you guys glad you are back.
Hi Jeanie - Glad to hear the lighting is good. Thank you so much for watching, we appreciate it.
If you guys ever dye a hospital themed set of colorways you should call them Rusty Wheelchair, Wobbly Crutches, Bed Pan, etc.
OMG those are great names and idea!
The sound was good and so was the lighting. I love watching your podcasts. I saw the picture of your puppy on Instagram and love him he looked so peaceful.
Haha he was peaceful for like 28 seconds...lol then he went a little wild haha 😆
I always enjoy your podcast! Love your shawls! You guys are the sweetest!! Your lighting and everything was perfect on my tv!
Thank you Susan!
Hi guys!!!
Lookin' good!!
I don't have a storage closet, I have a chuckroom!! 😂🤣😂
I actually have a mini crock pot that I use just for potpourri....
So that yarn is chainspun??
Aran & worsted are the same thing!!
🤣😂🤣
I actually don't have any interchangeable needles, all of mine are fixed and I have at least 2-3 of every size, it was that "speed bump" that I was afraid of....
Both of your shawls are absolutely gorgeous! I want to do Steven West's brioche and bubbles.....
I loved the less than subtle hint at 'what do you want for Christmas'!!
Hi Patti - Yes a chuckroom, that is what our closet was. Aran and worsted can be really close, it all depends of the company.
Enjoyed your podcast as always. Loved your FO’s and WIP’s. The shawls you are wearing look great too. I was making some Christmas socks while watching you guys. My only wish is that you have your podcast once a week - :)... Cheers!
Hi Darlene - Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it.
You both pick wonderful colors to go with your patterns!!! We just introduced my 5 y/o to Home Alone. And this week we are watching all 3 of the Santa Clause movies. Hope you are both well, and the fur baby too. 🙃🙃🙃
Thank you! Home Alone is another staple, we have already watched the first Santa Clause movie.
Another great podcast. Thank you for raising awareness for men's health. The lighting looks fantastic! Happy Anniversary. I love that green and grey together on that Joji shawl. And I really love the pantry termination. Much of my studio has been re-named. Thank you again!
Haha doesn’t it just make sense???? LOL 😂
Thanks so much for your comments and your kindness!! One of these days we are totally getting together 🥰🥰😂
Love watching you guys. Was excited to see it after hubby went to bed and I can sit and knit and watch you on the TV. Lighting and sound was perfect on my end. Tc stay safe from PEI CANADA
Hi Josephine - Thank you so much for watching, glad to hear the sound and lighting were good.
Omg how could I forget Christmas Vacation!! It’s my (Ray) absolute MUST!! 😍😁
Aww, so happy we got to keep you company! Thanks for watching and can’t wait to see your finished shawl!
I love your podcast, I just recently found you guys and have been binging every episode for the past 3 days, I'm sad now that I have to wait for the next one, I could watch you guys all day!
Aww thank you!! That really means a lot to us❤️ We love doing this and meeting you all!
Hi Jacqueline - Yes, Jingle Jangle looks really good, we have added it to our watch list. Elf is another movie we will watch.
Giggling like an adolescent-Hardwood. We have the Woodcock Johnson as an assessment in our school, try saying that with a straight face in a TEAM meeting. Kidding aside, you gents bring me joy in these crazy times. Great progress on your fab projects. Stay well.
Haha 😆 glad we’re were able to bring you a chuckle or two! Thanks for hanging out with us 😊
Love u both! Audio is perfect. Love the blanket and the Stephen west shawls. 😘 til next time
Thanks so much 😊
Love the beanie. I just learned that when you do a new color and you have knits and purls, if you just knit a round with the new color you won’t have those places where you see the change.
Hi Becky - I've seen that tip too for the purl bumps.
So thankful to see you both have been missing you guys
Hi Gail - Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it.
Loved your episode Kevin and Ray, the lighting was fine on my iPad.
As for Christmas movies The Polar Express is one of my favorites, Jack Frost and all the childhood Christmas movies
Oh I love those! Great choices 😉
Yes!! We love the woodwick as well! Some of the candles we got actually do have the wood wick as well!! Total Win-Win 🥰
Ray, your Slipstravaganza is really starting to come together! Lovin’ it!
Thank you Gina! The colors are totally showing more in the later stages of knitting it. Can't wait to see it completed.
Hi Vickie!!! Yes, the original Miracle on 34th Street is so good and who can resist Hallmark movies :)
We’ve never seen bad Santa...We might have to add that to our list 🤔😊
A great way to spend my early Sunday morning, before planning maths lessons for the week, my class will love me I'm sure lol . Great video
guys
Hi Jason! Thank you so much for watching! Good luck with you lesson plans.
Glad you addressed it at the end of the podcast yes we really missed the 9 inch circular needles🤓
Haha 😆 We got the new attachment for the mic so....🎤9 Inch Circulars will be back 😉
Totally agree with your assessment of Marcella.
Hi Penny! That is a really good observation, I have never noticed that will the British crime dramas I’ve watched.
Oh wow! And what did you think about it? Thanks for your feedback, we’re glad it worked out 🥰
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast I really liked it. I had trouble figuring out which MIT lecture hall they were in at the beginning of the movie, then I found out that the interior scenes were shot at a different college. 🤓
You are doing just fine with your lighting and your show is so much fun.
Ginny
Thank you so much, glad to hear both the lighting and sound were good.
Hi Sharon - Thank you for that information, we will check out that shop.
New iphone used? I get mine tomorrow! As always, fun spending time with you two.
Thanks Karen!! Yeah we both got the new iPhones and wanted to see how the video recorded 😊
Ethel and Carlotta should have a weekly spot!
Haha, we might have to expand their makeup stash though...LOL 😆
Fab episode as always. I’m so glad u discussed Ethel not letting Carlotta tell us how to make the house smell nice! 😂😂
My go festive films are- home alone 1&2, Scrooged- with Bill Murray and the Richard Attenborough miracle on 34th street.
Hey Fran - Yes Home Alone 1&2 are great holiday movies.
Great podcast again. Your hats inspired me to do a black ribbed beanie for my husband for Xmas.secret knitting has started.
Hi Becky - A black ribbed beanie will be great for him.
I miss you Ray! Watching these videos makes me feel like I'm hanging out with you again! Hope all is well! Maybe I need to learn to knit something toasty for winter!
Leah!!! I miss you too!! I use that mug you got me like all the time!! Although I’m no longer too legit to knit lol 😂
You guys are so funny. I don't know if you've noticed this Kevin, but every time you get interrupted you take a drink. New podcast drinking game perhaps? LOL love you both :)
Omg now I’m (Ray) getting a complex...lol do I interrupt that bad?? 🤔🥺
That will be hubby's Christmas gift. thanks
Awesome!! I’m sure he’ll love it 😍 What a great gift!
Also, on my last podcast, I had soo many WIPs, I think 7, so Ray I completely understand how you are feeling with working on everything and what is bringing you happiness.
I never thought I would be “that knitter” but holy cow I just want to cast on EVERYTHING lol 😂
You two make me laugh every time. You're my favorite. ❤️🧶
Awww thank you Andrea!
I’m binding off my slipstravaganza while watching you 💕❤️
That is awesome Alaina!!!
Hi Tina - Ray may need to get some 5 inch tips, they are nice to have for some projects.
Glad You are getting hard copies of your book. Got the last signed copy of your first book at wis sheep and wool fest. Good luck with it
Hi Kathy 😊 I think you might have us confused with another podcast. We don’t have any books out. But that’s ok Thanks so much for joining us 🥰🥰
I was thinking you would be back this weekend, and I was happy to see you again.
Thank you so much Tricia!
