The MX World is a better place with Tony Blazier documenting the history of the sport for the future generations to come, some people aren't aware that in life you have to know where you came from to know where you're going! 👌🏻

Hey, I wanted to tell you, the t-shirt decals are falling apart after the first wash. I bought the 1980 something YZ250 in the bed of the Datsun. Cool shirt, which is not together anymore.

Had a 91 CR125. Bike handled great, felt light, brake were ok but man the power was like a light switch on or off. That thing made you work to get the power, but when you did it was fast.

I loved my 91 KX125. It was stable and comfortable. It had Pro Circuit engine, exhaust, and suspension (bought it in Jan 92, from a buddy who was pro) Engine had plenty of power for me, I did add a tooth to rear sprocket.

My first new bike was a 1991 kx125. It took me many weeks, reviews, and shootout re-reads to decide between the honda and the kawasaki. I finally just decided that the kx looked a little better and I was still pumped on the perimeter frame from the previous year that was so drastically different than the 89 kaw. Love the videos

Great video Tony. I remember all those bikes well. If I remember correctly Factory Yamahas went back to using the 90 cylinder that year to stay competitive.

Can someone explain the dreaded Honda headshake and why they didn't fix it? They have teams of designers and they couldn't fix it year after year?

    They were all wonderful bikes
The Kawasaki killed them all in stock trim. I was lucky enough to have multiples of all that year.

RM125 ,s of these years were excellent 89,90 ,91 compared to before 89 no one really wanted Suzuki.
as they seem to be worked on more than ridden. hondas were great but hpp gave u trouble as it got flogged.
kx were always back and forth motor wise. one year it would be fast then next year it be mello. its like
they made to punchy somebody got scared. and totally change it the next year. lot of big changes from
    mid 80s to the 90s

I love how all these magazines back in the day HATED KTM and now they rave about them all day long. I believe KTM was always good, a little quirky, but had the spirit and build quality. I think the only reason these magazines changed their minds was because people actually started riding them and liking them and the magazine writers just hopped on the bandwagon.

I'm sure public opinion had something to do with their reception i the media of the time for sure. I would not imagine the European magazines raked them over the coals in the same way the US-based ones did back then.

Their test results had a lot to do with how much in ad space a given factory was buying.

Tony... love your videos Brother! What was average price for a new 125 in the U.S. back in 91? I remember exactly what I paid for bikes in the 80’s but can’t remember the early 90’s..... guess I was partying a bit too much........
