Wow. We almost went to the market today but since I couldn't think of anything we needed, we skipped it.
Last year there'd been a day where Calusari groups were performing in the market. We managed to see that in person, it was awesome.

It was great today. I have never seen so many people at the market.

this is a market for people with less money ;)
people who are not rich (second hand clothes for example), cheap prices on everything exposed there ...
no chance for luxury things there :)

That may be true or not, but everyone loves a bargain and especially the fresh organic produce. Varza here is 2.5 lei, whereas at Piata de la Gara it is 4 lei! 😊

Piata Centrala in Craiova is a place where real life happens. That's what I feel in the market. By contrast the Malls are dead places, no life, and especially Electroputere Mall represents the destruction of what had been an economic engine for Craiova.

@dand7763 you speak nonsense, The central market in Craiova is not a market for poor people, yes, there are cheap clothes for sale, new not used, and a lot of useful things some of them hand made, but the main purpose is the sale of vegetables and fruits sold by farms, many of them small family farms, they are sold inside the warehouse, and the sale of cheese, meat, fish. In Romania these markets are everywhere.
