Pieces to camera and interviews with Romanians about life in Romania.
Living in Romania 121. More advice about moving to Romania
Correction: in CNP number 7 in CNP is for male foreign resident, 8 for female foreign resident after 2000 - first number in CNP before 2000 was 3 and 4 respectively for foreigners. If you are Romanian it was 1 and 2 and then 5 and 6 post 2000. I hope this clears up this conundrum. #Romania #Cerere #Residence #3rdCountry #NonEU #Passport #Entryticket #Languagetest #Permisdesedere #Marriagecertificate #EHIC #Healthinsurance #ANAF #CAS #Cazierjudiciar #Healthcertificate #Financialstatus #Citizenship #Bulletin #CNP #Brexit #Transitperiod

Romania is near war...beware!
French bureaucracy is probably the worst
But, who's coming to Romania? I am sure you didn't point to the map and send your dart with your eyes closed. Are you sure you-re not married to a Romanian gal? But as we all say, everyone is free to his thoughts. You-re happy, that's all what's important.
Now I'm curious about the mustard and crackers. With the crackers, I have no experience with the brands we have in Romania, and have never heard of your preferred brand from the UK either, but here too I have doubts that you can't find an equivalent in Romania. But the mustard... there are so many brands with different flavors and different levels of spiciness in Romanian stores. Is it really possible to not find an equivalent for the mustard?

I am C2+ in Bulgarian and I've lived here for 5 years. I have a UA-cam channel where I practice speaking using improvisation style speaking to make sure I am more facile with the language. I have only found a couple other Americans who could speak at my level. That's how difficult it is. You really have to make a life decision to master the language. I've had three other YT channels that I've shut down due to family members discovering the channels and seeing me talk about things that I wanted to remain more private within my family of origin. But I disagreed with the premise that native English speakers need to learn the local language. If you're married to a local that helps immensely, but remember you should always be able to find somebody who speaks the language when you're doing something you need to do. And if you don't, hand jesters will do. I have two masters degrees in difficult professions, but getting to C2+ was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do because like Romanian, Bulgarian is extremely difficult for non-Slavic speakers.
Well done. Romanian is not a slavic language. Thanks for watching.
@@livinginromania good luck getting to C2, most never make it.

Watching this out of curiosity for my husband as he’s a Brit. I wanted to see if the paperwork ordeal is as bad as I remember and you’ve indeed confirmed it for me! Love your voice by the way, very soothing!
It's gruelling, but not impossible. If you need help, I am here for you.
Found it funny that the second thing about life here was a subscription ticket to a football club. I have friends who are residents in Britain and if they were never been too much in to sports home they seem to talk a lot now about their time at the game and have a subscription ticket to some local football club. So i guess it's totally a British cultural thing.
Thanks for watching.
We have mustard in there, everything. You need to explore a bit more. Try "mici & mustard" . Fish & chips might not exist though.

I think you moved to Ro because of the shitty lives you have in UK: high costs and taxes on everything one can imagine bad food overpriced alcohol cold, crammed houses overcrowded urban and rural areas lots of aliens (just take a look at your soccer team's lineup!) So stop being so smug and stop enlightening us with your imperialistic progressive plans as to how occupy our land while you're giving up yours to everyone else on the planet! The bad news is you're perceived as a loser from both Ro and UK sides. And the judging panel only gets wider by distributing these posts!

been living in DE for 4 years and the UK for 1. I moved back to RO because i did not like the weather and the mentality of the west. i bought myself a small studio apt in bucuresti. tips: 1.seal off all the flats airvents as well as the under the sink maintenance doors as the bugs can get in through there. 2. minimize gvnmt interaction as much as possible by using online websites. 3. set AC to 22-23 on low and get an auto air humidifier. depending on the temp, the air can carry more/less moisture. the auto humidifier will put the right amount of water into the air at all times. if you have a dry nose, it will do a worse job at filtering dust and microbes. P.S. If i were god, i would go over leeds, harehills with an eraser
Very nice and smart gentlemen

Hello again. Nice to see your videoa again. Around two weeks i had tell someone that if romania want to developed fast it need to bring inside lot of native westerners.
Nice to hear you!

Did you choose Craiova because of the city itself or your romanian wife was already living there.?
I knew and loved the city before I met my wife, but the fact that she lived here made it a no-brainer to move here.
Willkommen in Rumänien. Alles Gute der ganzen Familie. Herzliche Grüße aus Târgu MUREȘ.
Recht vielen Dank.
I am Romanian and I wonder myself why to live here! First is my country and i love my country! Second: in Europe is worse. third: I want my country to grow! So mister, if you don't like Romania you can go home!
I love it here thanks. It is now my home and has been for 5 years.
Well, your friend seems so called westernised, she have a positive vibe, she is prone to smiling, not grumpy and arrogant, she like books and after this , normally..... she mention she didn t like Oltenia because it have uncivilised people. If you like kindness, positive moods, if you like to smile , if you like politeness then automatically you dislike south Romania. And I am from South Romania
She is certainly a positive person and a great teacher.
Hello. Greetings. I just have fount your video here. As someone that had tried to escape Romania forever in the last 12 years because I don t like how people get angry very easy from nothing without reason......and recently I was ending at psychiatry to discover that I am suspected to schiztopal antisocial personality disorder..... The main reason is due stressfull behavior and way of life wide spreaded in Romania. I wonder why you would like to come in eastern Europe in a former communist country , were people in the street don t smile, but instead yelling and shouting and stress are way of life. I had plans to remain forever in France, to escape the stressfull life of Romania , i had live in Marseille and Montpellier, but there s no France anymore, it s worst than Romania on the safety/violence level. I know in UK and almost all western world is relatively the same. That s why you had left UK?
No, I left the UK because I married a Romanian lady. I have loved it here in Oltenia. People have a great sense of humour and have been very welcoming. Thank you for watching.
Well.....with my condition mentioned above, signs of my personality, usually I don t laugh at no one's jokes, and I find also Romanian humor that incite to violence, it s based on mocking others, arrogance. Romania and Balkan and the rest Slavic countries ( I had meet persons from Russia Poland Ukraine, Czechia and regarding to difficulty , angryness without level they are similar, for example Russia more violent, Czechia less, Poland similar) are better than third world lawless west today , sadly. But not for social life. If you value kindness, goodness and wisdom there you cannot find them in Romania, only in rare exceptions. I just compare how common native ordinary people behave in Romania and in France, Austria, Germany, Italy where I had live before. Just look at the drivers behaviors. It a common in the omania to insult in trafic, to lack of patience. Those who do this have important emotional problems. Which the state must resolve it, with harsh laws. If you go in some stores and you say good day you have much chances to find someone that doesn t answer you back and if you ask more questions details about some products they will make you a grumpy gave and react arrogant with angryness. The same if you go in a state institution, like taxes, finances, or paying your electrical bills. In the western countries that I had mention above is not common to find a native that b have like this. I had encounters persons outside europe, for example at the French work service office a lady from Morocco that was bitter like the public funcționairs in Romania. Because I had encounter too many times this in Romania , my next impulse is to smash that person head, and I have some experiences about this and i find it difficult to control everytime. I find social life in Romania at the same quality of the how look most buildings of the streets.
I‘ll give you some advice: don’t!
Too late. I've been here for 5 years.
In many places in Romania, as well as in other countries in Eastern Europe, time slows down. It slows waaaaay down. And you can hear your own thoughts if you want to. Here, we say "eternity was born in the countryside (vesnicia s-a nascut la sat)".
If u translate L. Blaga at least give him the credits🤡
OK, all sounds good, but as a second thought let's hope that Rus or N Korrea😁 don't nuke us all and we have a pleasent time to enjoy our life
They won't. We are in NATO

@@Jp.71189Consider international schools and focus on Bucharest. Good luck.
@@Jp.71189 It doesn't matter what you graduated from...no one here hires you for something like that unless you want to do manual labour and no one hires you without a contract beforehand, here it is very illegal to employ someone without a work permit and is punishable and considered a crime. My opinion is to look for another country in Europe and come to Romania after obtaining EU documents...we have many workers from Sri Lanka who come with acontract but at the end of the contract they are forced to leave and those who try to cross the Romanian border illegally for the EU are deported... Romania has borders with very strict controls and it is very difficult to leave the country illegally.
