- Lou has a big challenge - a sadly abused '65 Mustang Fastback that's already been the victim of wrecks, rust, and bad repairs. First step - fabricate a whole new front end! Then, we'll go to the track with a muscle classic, the last of the real Olds 442s!
That paintwork is the best definition of lipstick on a pig I've seen
"who in the cornbread hell...." lol, I'm stealing that one!
or "what in the name of John Wayne's ass is going on here?"
Ok I'm stealing both of these
@@Grunt49 just like bill clinton and joe biden
How old are you?
These shows are awesome! Lou MADE this show!
My goodness you are a brave soul, you don't even seem phased by all that rust.
to this day i ask about if Lou ever finished that road race mustang. he left the show before it was finished from what i remember😕
I always wondered what happened to this mustang when he started back in the 2000s
I don’t think it’s ever been back in the show. I’ve seen it time to time in some episodes. But nothing else
So with that Must.2 front auspention U can't run a front sump oil pan??
damn i want to see more!
Would have rather seen you do a better job of the frame rail. Welding it on to the existing rails as you have done is a no no. OK you linked the front and rear original rails with the tubing for strength but could easily done that with your frame insert. Front end collision and those welded joints will shear.
He could have just trimmed the frame connector; then to cut the frame up. It could break up.
I love Lou! Where did he go?
Are you playing or being serious because Lou has been on TV for the past few years. He reunited with Jared on Car Fix and they recently both left. Before that Lou was being Lou; building cars and making appearances and hrs doing the same now?
someone got screwed big time. it happens quite often
nice........
Was this 4:3 originally? Looks awkward. How old is this?
Holy hell, 2006!!!
So much time of this episode was takin up by the Oldsmobile!! :(
Mopar also had a tic toc tach
I wonder why the car wasn't sandblasted before he started project seem like that would be the first thing you would do
..
Sand blast what, the car will be new when he is done. This is someone else's car. He walked into this project. Lucky for the owner for sure.
@@pauldionne1665 quite true but i was talking about the previous onwer who didn't ckeck anything
@@pauldionne1665
Ha, they never finished it. They got rid of that POS...
This is when we had real car shows instead of real TV.
😎
Wait What??? How do the shock towers get in the way of engine swaps, and equally how is the front end design "just not that good"? And still even further what are you smoking that you think it "doesn't lend itself to performance modifications??
I got to STOP YOU RIGHT THERE!!! Because there were high performance cars built on the 1965 fastback platform that RULED the performance world back in 1965 WHEN these cars were built, and THOSE OPTIONS can still be added today, if you look at the car you need to "copy" which I am talking about the 1965 Shelby Mustang!!!
There is literally A FREIGHT TRAIN FULL of parts and add ons you can through at 1964 1/2 to 1972 Mustangs!! And engine swapping isn't as hard as you think given the laundry list of engine swaps that have been done to these same cars over the DECADES this body style has been around!!
So unless you have been living on a totally different planet in a far away galaxy some where.....there are and have been more performance parts for the 1965 to 1972 Mustangs that you can find "speed options" for a 1988 Ford Tempo!!! And you'd have to be stupid to make those statements!!!!
i think it was probably done that way so that he would have what would be called a "pro touring" car now. a car with tons of handling, and big power, and i think also that the engine would be possibly a big block ford, like a 429, or a 427 cobra jet

Nothing doing but parking only. Wasting time instead of woek
what is "woek" ?
@@TrumpAmerica-2024 sorry this is typing mistake . Correction is work
Great build, but would be better if he would just talk normally without feeling the need to emphasize and shout every single word.
do you really have to yell when you speak ? you are miked up ffs
Fords suck because the spring is on top. Making the shock towers too close to the engine.
fords suck period

Yes you can butcher up a mustang. But what you did to the Pontiac was sacrilege. Putting an oz on a pontiac
What the hell is oz?
@@bmstylee osbourne?
@@bmstylee sorry big fingers small phone. I meant an LS engine
@@allanlugo8095
In what Pontiac, the Trans Am? Dude SHUT UP!!! Pontiacs are GM products and GM makes LS engines. Besides, IT WAS A COMMISSIONED BUILD! Year One and Kevin King who was the end owner of the car decided what they wanted. Not a damn thing was wrong with that car...
@@AutoYoung last time I checked here .Americans are entitled to our opinions.and we have free speech...I Will Not SHUT UP....an vintage Pontiac.. should NOT. Have an LS engine.....there are lots of powerful Pontiac engines available..I respect your stupid opinion. Respect mine.by the way. God Loves You..
