Auntie Junie giving poor Uncle Roy the rounds of the kitchen. Making so much from so little. She reminds so much of my late Nanna Annie-Beryl from Sandy Flat NSW. Love you!
I wouldn't share that with the prime minister either ;-) I reckon this is the best looking damper I've seen on youtube (and I've looked at dozens!!!). Go Aunty Junie and Roy. Legends.
Good job, adding the powdered milk - I haven't seen that since the '60's in far west Qld. Also enjoyed the natural way Junie tipped the little bit of left-over water back in the pot and cleaned the butter off the paper - most people these days would just chuck it away. Good on you and thanks for sharing.
this is the best cooking video ive seen...love it Aunty June and Roy that coconut damper looks deadly n delicious..make me hungry here nw for some lol!
Thank you Auntie June I am Wadjela Living on Noongar country I will speak to the Whadjuk people and ask if an invitation can be sent for you to come to our Bush Tukka Fusion training restaurant in Fremantle Western Australia showing young Indigenous people how culture and commerce can bring about self determination and financial independance.
I love to see my people cooking our tucka, but I have never used coconut milk before but I will be trying in my next cook out. I am a Proud Dunghutti Elder of the Wiradjuri Mob.
Hi June & Roy I enjoy watching & my own from another state what you are doing & great idea's so I can teach my boys our heritage. Proud to be Gunjitimara. I totally love you two. Karranxx
This is a television cooking show in the making. I bet Auntie Junie has a lot more recipes where this came from. And her interaction with Roy is gold. And the Damper looked delish too! How long did it cook for?
Hello! My name is Becca and I am Writing a cook book about recipes from Black/Brown people. A section of the book will be on aboriginal Australians. I am looking to learn more about culture, their, food , customs etcs. I would love an Interview with the cook of this video. If you refer to as an Aboriginal Australians I would truly appreciate it as well as I'm IN nyc. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
I have an important question that's been keeping me up at night: Who is the cook and who is the chef? On one hand, auntie Junie says "That's the way we do it, Roy", exerting authority. Yet, on another occasion, Roy is heard saying "This is how the professionals do it" highlighting his high level of knowledge and expertise. Are they both the cook? Are they both the chef? If this was the case, it would be called the cooks and the chefs. Or the cooks or the chefs? Why is life so hard?
the Damber is cooked looks nice. "i think the PM would eat it, but as if i share it" lol good one mate the PM wont eat it cos she be too scared it and she wont care
Roy is talking Lord Vestey who thought it was OK to pay indigenousness stockmen with rations ie, tobacco, flour, and tea while white stockmen were paid with money. Today it is called Vestey holdings.
This is one of the best videos I've ever watched on youtube. Aboriginal people have the best sense of humour.
Charlie Mac thank you

Is aunty Junie still with us? I'd like to see more videos. Australia needs more wholesome aboriginal content.
