We are still remodeling the area destined to edit and upload our upholstery videos. As part of the decoration, we have considered a panel with a 'diamond tufting design', so in fashion lately.
And, I could not overlook to share and teach some of my self-taught knowledge I have acquired through the years.
As most of my videos, these are mainly aimed to my users who are beginners and are eager to learn some of the upholstery techniques.
These part one and part two videos will teach a basic training that, would make us understand and improve this technique.

Hello, First of all, I want to thank you very much for taking me into account. I have no experience to train people in person. Perhaps I could help in another way, I do not know what you are trying to manufacture or give service. My real field is the automotive upholstery and I am always trying to research and seek faster and easier ways to perform an upholstery project.

great work sir, i have been making furniture for ten years and i have always avoided tufting, but after watching this i am so inspired to give it a try. thanks again i have truly learnt a lot.
I'm glad the videos are useful! The 'real tufting procedure' is without sewings on the back. I did them to make the job easier and understand how the 'foldings' are done. After some practice it would not be necessary. It would come a next related video in leather...I would take off the artificial leather I used for the training and I would use furniture leather instead with no sewings.
Measuring with the rope is SMART!

Do not forget it is advisable a thin a pliable leather to do this pattern. If you are going to work with thicker leather materials then it would be necessary to add a little more of allowance to do the pleats, otherwise they would disassemble.
After some practice you would not need those sewings.

If you are in the USA, you could use DAP weldwood or Landau Top trim glue.
