Thankyou for this video, after years in this workspace, transitioning to tufted fabrication is no joke. You have subtleties in your hand movements that I fully comprehend and appreciate. This goes beyond math, and into gestural movements. Great work
Cechaflo is the best upholstery I’ve ever came across . I work with upholsterers who have been in the trade 40 plus years and Cechaflo makes them look like rookies . Cechaflo is the man💯🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you very much. I am 30 years old, have been practicing in woodworking and leather as hobbies for years now. This is something I've always wanted to be able to do, and while I could have found the information elsewhere after much labor, I know what I'm looking at. You are a highly experienced and skilled and are sharing your simple and deeply grounded techniques. Your ability to each everything, from concept to execution to flow, without a word is the mark of an old master. All of which should go without saying to the seeing eye. What is more, of course, is that you've shared these trade secrets with no hype or marketing, and that is the mark of something somehow more rare than your level of skill; a great person.
🎉Now I am confident in myself, I watched a perfect lesson from a perfect teacher, I think I can do it again and again. Thanks a lot. Greetings from Antalya, Türkiye 😊
I had watched this video few months ago. It didn't make so much sense. I saw a couple of other videos. I did my first capitonne tufts. They were great but I knew I didn't know the nitty-gritty. Now I came back and the video makes great sense! Thank you so much. 👍 👍

Enhorabuena!!!!!
Wow I am not sure how long you have been doing tuck and roll. I am 75 and that is what we called it when we had a pro do it and it wasn’t cheap. I had no idea how a person learned how to do it. A lot of math I was told back then. Beautiful work. You are a master. Thanks you
This tutorial is excellent!!! We are creating a button tufted corner banquette for a customer, with only the plywood bases and a few ideas to work with. Your step-by-step is perfect for how to do each part. Thank you!!!!
So beautiful! Thank you very much. I've been doing upholstery for years now, but haven't had a customer's chair with tufting until now; and I hadn't learned it in my upholstery classes years ago. Now I'll be able to complete the project with confidence. I so appreciate you putting this online.
A thousand thanks to you for this exemplary education. What is beautiful is that you provide the details very accurately. I am honored to subscribe to your channel.
I don’t know how to explain but the way you explain is very much easier to understand 😅 thank you! I am in the process of measuring for reupholstering our couch again soon this helped much ❤
I am just now seeing this, but this explained from start to finish just how this is done. For those of us wanting to learn and make our own pieces some day, this was excellent, easy to understand, easy to follow, and even gave measurements to practice, learn, and create with. Two thumbs up! Thank you for this.
I've been looking for a video of the steps to make a sofa like this, now I understand, for you, I thank you very much for giving this knowledge, good job 🙏🏼👍
The main idea of this tutorial is make the interested people in learning this art understand how this old design is done. Everyone, who understands the 'key' will be capable of overpassing this demonstration and doing it much better finding his own methods.
Wow. Thank you so much for showing this technique. I have tufted my Santa Throne but never knew many of your steps so the diamonds are a little haphazard. Might have to redo it to get them as nice as you have yours. Again, very many thanks for the details you have shown.

Very detailed information Sir. Very much appreciate your support. Just getting started doing upholstery. Need all the help I can get. Did my first tuff seat this year. Nothing as beautiful as yours. But I am happy with the way it turned out. Don't think I would have tried it with out watching your video. Think you so much Sir. Best regards from Ohio. Walter
Dear Walter, I feel so happy you have found some inspiration in these upholstery videos! If you would keep on doing these designs I would recommend the use of thin materials (fabric, faux leather or real leather) Thick materials are more difficult to handle.
I’ve buttoned tufted with soft low density foam as a DIY project for turning an old rolling chair into a high back task chair before and pleats are sloppy and went with small diamonds and it wished I’ve ordered high density firm foam and went with medium diamond pattern, I’ve reupholstering an old cracking vinyl tufted wingback chair with vinyl going with the original tufting pattern and it ended up with much better pleats despite also having soft foam. Next time I’ll go with a very firm high density foam and real leather as well as making it the seat bottom and backrest curved for lumbar, thigh, and head support.
@@shannawilliams5229 In all my demonstrations I have used thick leathers 1.3 to 1.4 mm I would recommend you the use of a thin material no more than 1 mm thick. (fabric, vinyl, leather, faux leather, etc.) A thinner material would be much easier to handle and make the folds.
