    Just bought one today. First project was cleaning up my huge fire pit area. What an OUTSTANDING job it did. It cultivated the ground like a bear in a camper full of food!!!
    "BEAST MODE" 100%!!! 💪🏻⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️😁

      I'm so glad you like it! We've been impressed enough with greenworks that we've bought a mower and blower from them, all of them are battery and we have now a bunch to interwork!

      Thanks Bob, yes my helper is always around. So were my Tweedles (twin tiger boys) but I saved that footage for another vid as it was getting long.

    It does a great job , it's nice to have an electric option today and for most people it will do quite well. It is also quite a bit less expensive . Nice vid buddy.

      Thanks, Steve, this was a great idea. It is a good alternative depending on your needs. I really am surprised that it's not chincy at all.

    I smiled at the first shot of the green tiller in the green garden. I'd lose that in a second. Hey, I know that cat. :) Oh yeah, that dude's got some torque!

      LOL, yes, but it is easy to find in the trailer, LOL! Yup, Butterscotch is always with me! ANd it really is a good little tiller.

    I've always been a big fan of electric motors, like you said, only drawback is the cord or battery life. They have tons of torque for plowing through anything. When you're done, hang them up in the dry, pull em out next spring!! Very thorough review!

    thanks i did not know you could remove blades and define the width . other videos don't say that . just got this today. you got subscriber for that. we live in Florida and wiill be using this mostly for getting front yard flower beds by driveway ready for our "spring" planting,

      I'm glad you found it helpful! I'm not sure why others didn't show that, it's one of the reasons I love it! It should be wonderful for that purpose, I use it for my tomato beds by the house as well!

    It's a great option for a tool you only use occasionally. Saves the fuel gumming up and not working when you want it to. Does a fine job 👍

    A nice better environmental option to the gas version. We will give Steve a break cause he's in town and has a smaller area to till. Awesome and very helpful review/demonstration. Thanks Helga!!

    Thanks for the info. Just tore down my 4 x 8 raised bed and dug the sod off for a 10 x 12 area. After toiling away in the humid near-100-degree weather here in Arkansas, I knew I needed something to make my life easier. Got this little fella and it worked that area in about 5 minutes. Woulda taken me 2 or 3 hours to do it properly with a hoe, and it still wouldn't have been as good. I'm gonna have to mess with the tine configurations you talked about.

      See how it works for you. I still love mine! We got a battery operated lawn mower from the same company and love it. I may the battery operated tiller next year! No cords!

    Sweet I saw his post too. Watching, my garden rocks would kill it. Also be sure to inspect the electric cord good before hanging it around your neck just in case their isn't a bad place. Great review, it really was working good.

    Hello Helga
    I can't wait to see your recepie for Eric O peach ice cream.

    • @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot
      @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot  6 років тому +1

      Guess that will be an upcoming vid! BUT, if you want the recipe I use, here it is-------INGREDIENTS2 cups half-and-half cream3-1/2 cups sugar3/4 teaspoon salt6 eggs, beaten4 cups heavy whipping cream2 teaspoons vanilla extract6 to 8 medium fresh peach, peeled and sliced or 4 cups frozen unsweetened peach slicesDIRECTIONSIn a saucepan, heat half-and-half to 175°; stir in the sugar and salt until dissolved. Whisk a small amount of hot cream mixture into the eggs. Return all to the pan, whisking constantly. Cook and stir over low heat until the mixture reaches at least 160° and coats the back of a metal spoon.Remove from the heat. Cool quickly by placing pan in a bowl of ice water; stir for 2 minutes. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla. Press plastic warp onto surface of custard. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.In a blender or food processor, puree peaches. Stir into the custard. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to manufacturer's directions.Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze, stirring before freezing each batch. Allow to ripen in ice cream freezer or firm up in the refrigerator freezer for 2-4 hours before serving.Yield: about 3 quarts. (I use my canned brandied peaches in this, if yiu use fresh peaches, make sure they are very ripe!)

    Very useful video. I'm looking for something like this to break up hard clay...

    • @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot
      @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot  6 років тому

      Hi Ted! Both can do the job. This one doesn't bog down easily, being electric. But the Mantis is tough on clay, I've used it myself. Either should work, just see what fits your needs more, electric vs gas, and price etc.

    What a tough little machine Helga. Electrics are the way of the future I guess. Even electric motorcycles will be around the corner when they perfect the battery issues. Lol.
    Btw, we'd call that machine a "rotary hoe" over here.

    • @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot
      @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot  6 років тому

      I'm not sure I'm sold on all electrics but definately much more so as the technology improves. It will have to improve a lot for me to do an an electric motorcycle, although we love our Volts, so I am sure the day will come! Interesting also how things have different names elsewhere!

    NOT MADE IN THE USA- I saw at 2 minutes into the clip. I THOUGHT when I read abt these, they were USA made but I guess not. Hey Helga, I watched your friend’s clip on the Mantis (he seems to like your business). Back to tillers, I wonder if this 1 is adjustable for ppl different heights? I think tho’ I’d still spend even $100 more to buy an electric (or gas) tiller MADE IN USA! Thanks for the clip.

    • @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot
      @PennsylvaniacookingBlogspot  6 років тому +1

      I bought my tiller some years ago and at that time, the company was still American. I'm sorry to see they have gone the way of most things and sold out. Although my tiller is a good tiller. No, it's not adjustable for people of different heights. At the time, I didn't have an extra $100 but I needed to til my garden and get food growing to harvest for canning season and that was a lot better than doing it with a fork and spade shovel, which I've done.

    Kind of good idea to have a smaller and more quiet tiller... I would like to retire a bit, the lady of the house could have suitable equipment of her own, not me as a slave. Yes the cheapest one is me...
