I can't believe nobody has picked up on the handy man being Mr. Gale from the Sorcerer's world. He had the blueprints for sliding and must have escaped to Quinn's world, sought revenge on Quinn and his friends for exposing his treachery to the Sorcerer, a simple act of oiling the gate was enough to keep Quinn and friends from discovering that it really was their world.
That oil fix led the Sliders crew into a future filled with heartache. That program became hella dark after the double Arturo episode. I believe that the Blue colored San Fran bridge Arturo was the one who later died.
This is zo deep. He reached where he was trying to go but did not know it and the window to figure it out was so small little to know time to make such a HUGE discision.

Just a UA-camr oh man its pretty terrible, if I remember correctly. First the professor is shot saving Quinn by robert daltrey in a cameo appearance as some general. Wade is taken to a Kromagg prison camp, and you find out later she is used for a bizarre experiment to merge her with a computer or something. A mad scientist combines Quinn with his duplicate on another world who doesn’t look like him and he never is able to separate from him. So basically he is stuck in is doubles consciousness. His brother Colin is “unstuck” which I guess means he can’t exist in one dimension at a time. And it ends on a cliffhanger of Rembrandt injecting himself with a kromagg killing virus and jumping back the earth prime to try and save it.... pretty grim eh?

Sineplex did 25 sliders movies between 2003 and 2010. I don't think the characters are the same, and the plot is a bit different, but it' s still Sliders.
Supernatural season 13 was like this for Jack and Mary: stuck in another universe with no way home. Although in Jack's case it was the first rescue mission that got him stranded and Sam and Dean stuck in the Bad Place. At least their friends managed to rescue them before they got stuck in another universe forever.
This episode actually annoyed me. It was so convenient and arbitrary that they only had a minute in this particular universe when they usually have much longer in every episode.
I still remember this episode, it still lives in me and every time I do something big I tell to myself: “Do it, you’ll never know this could be wether the end of the story or the beginning of a new, long and full of mystery one” and remember this scene.
In retrospect, it turned out that the ending was not so sad, it turned out that the world in which Kevin Mallory was born was not the world he appeared in at the beginning of the series.
I remember being so sad for them this episode... and to this very day I’m still confused at which Doc was the one that actually slide through with the crew on one episode. Was it the right one? Did the original Doc get left behind while the alternate Doc took his place? I really missed this show.
I am. The Comet network just started re-airing the entire series last week. Just watched 2x7(the dinosaur ep) and 2x8 (Evil Arturo/Blue Golden Gate Bridge ep). Good times.
I wonder if there's an alternate universe where Sliders is still going and Jerry O'Connell never left???😉 Or at least came back w/the old Prof for season 6... I kinda liked season 5.
