I am also using roti maker but like Naush said , a roti maker is able to make tortillas kind of roti as it doesn’t get brown.I watch several videos and came to the conclusion that Use the roti maker just to spread the balls into shape of roti and keep the tawa hot and ready to cook your rotis on the tawa.This also saves a lot of time and energy.

I purchased it today and even on tawa it is hard ;( so its useless for me even for spreading balls. Im so disappointed

Whenever you make anday alu ka salan always fry the eggs in little amount of oil and then add it to the salan, you will truly enjoy the taste of it
You can also add small amount of tumaric power in that oil to give beautiful colour on eggs and than fry
I always grind onions tomato together with little fennel and sesame seed ...it taste and smells good

Don't take fruits with your main meals like breakfast lunch or dinner, your meals which has carbs protein & fats have different time of digestion & Fruits have different time of digestion. So if we eat together our liver gets to work over absorb the nutrients & metabolise. You can take it after 30 mins or best time to have it as a snacks. I am also Pharmacist like you & now persuing my career in Nutrition.
We live in Canada and we also use the ready to eat rotis.They are far better and time saving too.. Alhamdulilah.

Have lot of respect for you since ur vlog abpout ur struggles in KSA. Watched ur vlog after long time. Your recipes are good for once in a while but unsustainable as a routine cz so much refined carbs r unhealthy. i am saying this after seeing health problems after 10 yrs in KSA. I saw another of ur vlog a yr ago n noticed how much weight u put on n ur younger son is also going towards obesity. Thought of suggesting to change ur cooking style but I thought u might not like it. Today I noticed u r concerned too, so plz dont mind if , as a dr, I suggest u shift to healthy low carb food with minimum refined n processed items. You r an intelligent lady with a background of medical knowledge so u r the best person to create such healthy recipes in pakistani cuisine n teach it to pakistani women. As a dr, I hv tried myself n suggested to many housewife friends to create keto recipes in pakistani style since every second person I see has either obesity, diabetes, high BP or PCOS and the solution to all these is in low carb healthy food. But I hv not found the will and creativity in a single person so far.

App nuggets fry kr k direct plastic box mein na dale Because it’s not safe as the plastic upon heating release a certain kind of chemical which will further leach into the food
That chemical is called BPA. ikea's containers are BPA free. Also, putting hot stuff in a plastic container is not at all harmful unless we heat that plastic container (if its not BPA free) BPA affects hormonal balance. Therefore I use only BPA free plastic containers.

Hi Naush! How to wash this roti maker? I also live abroad and I have induction stove top. I can't use iron tawa on it that is why can't make good chapatis. Always turn out hard. Really want to buy it if it is really good. Plz do share your experience in the future also..

I started using anex roti maker when I got back pain. It was difficult for me to roll out on counter because I am tall and the counters are short, so it would put stress on my back. It does take some time to get the taste develop. I have been using it since about 4-5 years now.
