I have the rally raid kit for my cb500x. Did you make your own high front fender kit? The one from rally raid gets packed full of mud so quick. I need a better solution for my front fender. Your videos help motivate me to get out and ride.

Hi Dirk, glad you enjoyed the video. I just got a fender from a local supplier and put a few spacers between it and the bike to get the height I wanted and bolted it on. Best of luck with your off road riding.

I got stuck in a similar way earlier this year. Took me 90 minutes to pull the bike out. And it is a dr650. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is with a cb500x. Well done.

Hi great to see these great bikes getting the exposure they deserve. My wife and I ride the new C B 500 X on the road. We went through the big bike bring money with you experience. Tried a CB 500 through a friend found it a truly great simple reliable and friendly machine that suits us and Ireland perfectly. We owned 2016 and 2018 models then bought a pair of the upgraded 2022 bikes. They are fab! I wouldnt take mine off road its too new and too precious. The new front forks and break set up are a game changer. It would be interesting to compare your RR bike to the new standard bike. we dont live far away. We can be found in Kerry and West Cork most weekends. Great channel please keep it up. Kind Regards R&A.

      Hi Robin
Thank you for the comment, good to hear you are enjoying the bike. They are great, I would not take a new one to the same extremes.
A lot of the videos where shot in Kerry and West Cork some great places to ride around.

You should find a wide rock and use your side stand to rotate the bike. I have done it a lot of times in situations like this. Ride safe!

That’s a pretty hard trail. We’ve got ‘quads’ four wheel drive bikes for that here in Newfoundland
But when snowmobiling , sometimes you get stuck that badly, and have to manhandle it around
    Your cracked boy!
Careful, don’t give yourself a heart attack!

Hi, thank you of the comment, plenty of break between lifts, its my back that I watch out of as I have pulled muscles more than once and picking up the bike and riding down a mountain with your back in spasm is not to be recommended.

Love your bike and the determination to make it go places it should not. Not for me. More off-road bike for me if going those places.

You are the man! My fears of riding alone… getting stuck! Wow glad to see you could get her out with out a long walk. Keep riding and filming, enjoying from Colorado USA where it’s a bit dryer!

      Hi Brad
Thank you for the comment, yea riding alone definitely brings some fears with it, I normally ride well within my comfort zone when I am on my own and won't go anywhere that I don't have a plan B option if things go wrong, even if that's spending an hour turning the bike 180 in the mud. Colorado has some amazing areas I hope you get to enjoy them all.

You got out though, well done, hell of a job!
Will you learn though and not go back in there one day...?
Somehow the jury is out on that one 🙃

Hi Captain I hope all is well, no I possibly won't learn, I might need to reverse my leap before you look policy, I will go back and find a route before I ride the bike through, but I think I will stick to dry land for a while.

Why didn’t you buy an off road bike that’s meant for track riding? The Honda cx500 is not really meant for off road , it’s far more suited to touring, you’ll reck it in no time which is a shame for such a lovely bike.

Hi Donna, thank you for the comment amd your concern. I have a trials bike and an enduro bike. This bike was bought to travel through parts of the Sahra, Dakar routes and the High Atlas mountain trails in Morocco. I needed to test the bikes limits and mods before I left. The areas are to remote to take any chances on an untested bike.
The bike is small enough to pick up easily, has a good fuel range and bullet proof engine and high service intervilles.
The bike is heavily modified and has engine and frame protection that keep it safe

@@solomotoadventures Great information and this really helps me decide between a CB500X and a KLR 650. My back is pretty messed up so I need an adventure bike that is capable on and off road but not too top heavy. The KLR is just bit too top heavy for me. Nice to know that with a few simple mods, the CB500X will handle some really tough forest access roads and beyond. Plus, it's a better street bike than the KLR and has more power.

Hi Donna, thank you for the comment, the bike was very cheap to buy as it was 8 years old. With all the upgrades and modifications done to change it from a stock bike to a long-distance trail bike. It is worth much more then I paid for it.
