- You join Mark on a float fishing trip exploring a new little river that was in flood and one which he had done groundwork on earlier in the season. Would there be fish to be caught? What would we find willing to feed? Guys I absolutely love this type of exploring on new waterways and it is a joy to be able to bring you another of what will be plenty of new videos!

Mark I absolutely love Yr enthusiasm and joy that you get from fishing, yes we all love to catch big fish but that sheer wonder of looking at a small piece of water and wondering what magic it holds, the joys of being an angler that non anglers will never understand, keep up the great vids.
nice little stream roach were great and sometimes it good fun fishing these small waters ,you have found a great place there ,it would be interesting to see how a small feeder would work with bread flake and maggots,,really snaggy looking crabtree country .. the shots from the air those trees like spun cotton nice ,well done mark and until your next adventure tight lines,,
Does look a lovely hidden gem mate I bet it's absolutely beautiful in the summer.
It really is!
Hooray he’s back
Awesome video mate
Great video Mark. Your quite right about the water authorities and what they get away with. Predation will also effect where the fish prefer to lie. I got out on a backwater of the Thames yesterday and had a couple of chub. 1st time I've fished the water and that excitement you get from exploring a new water can't be beaten.
Pukka session mate I must say I love the thrill of not knowing what will take your bait large or small it's a buzz you can't get on a commercial venue keep them coming mate 👊🏼
Cheers mate and i agree with you, simply cannot compare it to commercials!
Thanks for sharing mark, a rare opportunity to see fishing like this.
Glad you enjoyed it and i wish there was enough time for a few more trips like it, we are slowly running out of season :(
Nice session Mark, seek and you will find!
That is very true Frank, sometimes it is nice to find over looked places where the fish and angler have peace.
💯 agree with you it’s shocking the amount of crap that goes in to are rivers mate brill video as usual Butty keep up the amazing work you do 👍
Cheers Darren and I do agree mate. It has to stop!
Fish a few small waterways in my neck of the woods that rarely ever get fished and always find the fish in mint condition
Thanks for sharing again mark top video 👍
Sounds great to me Kerry!
You are a inspiration mate .I live 5 mins from the pumper n s. ditch etc. So good on you
Thanks 👍 mate!
Enjoyable vid my ole mate good seeing you back on the bank , I think you could be right regards there being more fish above the sewerage works , having said that you have had the chub, great little small river fishing , well done Mark ,look forward to the next one 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Cheers Nobby! Yes it is very possible in fact on some other drone footage on another river i did notice some very dirty water pushing in from side ditches but it did not look your normal soily type of sediment.
Absolutely love this kind of fishing!
Thanks mate and Just so enjoyable as you never know what will turn up!
Exactly that :)
Lovely video nice to here the birds singing love the small streams keep them coming mark
Thanks so much Mark!
From one small stream lover to another, great video. The excitement of not knowing what the next bite will produce is what fishing is all about.
Bob I suspected you would watch this video and there is a joy which we both share in, overgrown, neglect but with jewels to be unearthed!
Hi Mark, so nice to see you back on small waterways, sadly missed these videos over the last few years, they make great watching.
That's a very nice comment Mark and I was thinking that you guys would enjoy it due to that very reason. Great to know that is the case too.
Another Mark classic! Well done sir!
Thank you kindly!
Loved it mate👍🏻

Nice spot my friend. You have to love the untouched areas. Nothing like it.
It sure is Darion. I hope all is good with you across the pond mate.
amazing! Really nice these fishing in wild areas! often uncrowded but with good surprises!! with not a lot of material! see you soon
Merci Eric, I'm so glad that you enjoyed this video on the petit riviere.
Lovely vid yet again
Glad you enjoyed it Richard i do need to get back along there, its very intimate.

@@francolinobasco yh back in thatcham m8 and yep all good
Good to see you back, always enjoy your posts. good advice and just nice to watch mate. 👍👍
Thanks Kev and as per our recent comment chats i am increasing my uploads for now mate!
Nice one mark. Totally agree; nothing quite like investigating new small waterways. A promising roach there too - do you think he might have been with friends? So often these days in our neck of the woods, with stressed waterways, I find the slightly bigger roach is a singleton who thinks he's a baby chub! competing in amongst the chub shoal....
Cheers Tim and Yes i suspect there are more about of that stamp and perhaps even larger than those! You are right regarding larger roach being non shoal fish at times too.
Hi Mark nice going
Thanks Nicolas 😀
Good to see you enjoying yourself and the drone footage shown how neglected the waterway is ,nice video again Mark and throughly enjoyable ,..
Thank you Johan and nice to know the drone footage was appreciated as this particalr drone has no avoidance sensors so it has to be flown manually and the signal in that location was very patchy!
Cracking video buddy. Plenty of mixed fish there. So even though you had Google Mapped the area did you have to find out then if a club owned that stretch or did you just turn up and have a look? 🎣🎣
You sound and act like a contented man, welcome back...
I was very contented thank you!
Nice video as always Mark hopefully ill stumble across a stream like that one day exciting stuff
Thank you, really would recommend Google maps and some ordinance survey. Can help unearth some hidden and overlooked waters.
How is your dad now I remember you doing a video when you was fishing with him and explaining is illness hope he well and I've been following you for years
Hey there and thanks for asking. My father sicne catching covid and then having increased dementia is now in a care home unable to walk and needs lifting out of bed by hoist.
Always enjoy your videos Mark. As I'm a bit ill at the moment it's the closest to getting out and doing it! 🙂 Quick question. What make of reel are you using?
Sorry to hear that stephen :( hope you get better soon as being sick/ill is never nice one bit. The reel is a centrepin i purchased off Aliexpress/Wish a while back for £30 it is a chinese copy of an allcocks aeriel but works well.
Rolling meat on a pin next then, Mark?
Bit like we do on the Hampshire Avon.
You are bang on the system is corrupt mark we need to stop this nonsense 🙏
Yes Carl it needs gutting out!
which Bread is good?
Hello there its Mark but I'm on my mobile phone. I use Warburton blue or orange a lot, but hovis thick or medium white is good, or icelands own thick slice white bread. Avoid waitrose essential as it's far too dry.
@@markerd5378 unsliced bloomer from experience. Crust is great popped up off the bottom, fluttering in the current & the flake is great for float fishing. And if all else fails you have a nice bit of bread to munch.
@@61barrackroad I personally prefer a generic white sliced loaf preferably Warburton mate as I find it good for bread punch and flame. Well when you remember you punches unlike me this trip 😂
Hovis medium white sliced fresh as you can get .
@@dangerousdave668 haha yep that's definitely one of my top picks, I'd put that up there with Warburtons as one of my most used. Making me fancy a nice sarnie just talking about bread 😂
Would you have used punched bread instead of flake Mark?
Out of choice on this trip definitely Clive, shame I left my punches at home 😕
Great video shame About so many advertisements
Thanks Kevin, unfortunately I do not get to choose where youtube puts them during a video.
The EA need to put a stop to the pollution I've had to get on to the EA about restocking the ponds and the river wear in Sunderland Washington.Since the 80s it's went down hill and with mink Otters and other things it's shameful hopefully the EA will be getting back to me I've had an e.mail saying they are going to ring me back were paying for none existent course fish it seems if it's salmon and seatrout then they are on the ball but course fish they don't care.Anyway mate another enjoyable video 👍.
I could not agree more Paul, it really is a terrible state of affairs :(
@@francolinobasco Honestly mate if you fished up here you would get a shock I broke my pb last year for a minnow lol I've seen it decline since the 80s .The EA are supposed to be ringing me up to talk about it I want fish not a conversation ,what got me they stock commercial fisheries who are owned by people who obviously have money to buy the land in the first place then the EA boast about it so we are paying to fish the commercial that's stocked using our money when they could be stocking rivers council ponds and lakes atleast to a degree clubs lease ponds from councils and chip in to buy fish and pay the lease agreement. So getting help from the EA is beneficial, but stocking private fisheries nah don't like it the money shouldn't be spent on them.As anglers we pay for other people to enjoy the countryside we are a line of defence for pollution control fish thefts illegal dumping and so on and if I'm honest we are treated like dirt by the EA.Now 15,000 otters then Mink and other things I won't mention ,they need to realise course fish are wildlife not just salmon and seatrout which the EA only seems to care about now.Sorry for the rant mate it really boils my blood.
