- Since the new game "Balan Wonderworld" came out recently I decided to make a video on the boss battle themes of each of the bosses of Balan Wonderworld. Specifically the bosses that embody the negative turmoil and emotions of 12 people who are experiencing struggles and trauma in their lives, thus becoming the monster boss of each chapter. It pisses me off that such a great musical composition went unappreciated because the game developers couldn't get it together.

Yes!
While the gameplay might be a flop, people can admit that the designs and music are awesome.
Problem was the gameplay portion was developed with different studio and not Jugi Naka which meant the game isnt Dissapointment but rather sad story.
You have excellent visuals and theme but then you have inexperienced studio handling the gameplay.
if only the game was just as good as the designs and soundtrack.
That's the problem, this game had so mush potential.

Ideas for the boss fights if they choose to make an ACTUAL hard mode:
Barktholomew: Phase one is the original boss fight, with corn missiles around you that you need to fire at Barktholomew. Phase two transitions to a stormy mudslide, and you have to trick Barktholomew into falling into the mud in order to damage him. The final phase is when the arena transitions to the destroyed cornfield. The sun will start to shine through, stunning him at times. Use this opportunity to attack and defeat him.
Anjellica: Phase one is the original fight, but with urchin enemies to slow you down. Phase two transitions into a raging whirlpool, with Anjellica ambushing you if you’re not careful. Jump on her head to damage her. The final phase is in a sunken ship near a coral reef. Use the cannon to fire a cannonball that’ll knock down a boulder to stun the boss. Only then you can damage it.
Wormsworth: The original fight makes up the first phase, but you must use the Sickle Slinger Costume to defend yourself. The second phase has you swinging from strand to strand Spider-Man style with the Web Wrangler Costume to damage the boss. The final phase has it in a mushroom grove, and you need to find the correct combo of mushrooms to damage the boss.
Worville Wright: Phase one is the original fight, but with the winds getting a bit stronger with every hit. Phase Two has fog cover the arena at times, making it hard to see a thing. Use the Aero Acrobat Costume to fly above the fog and find the boss. The final phase has you fly into a hurricane, with debris everywhere. Use either the Soaring Sheep or the Laser Launcher to make your way to the boss.
Cuckoo: The first phase is the original boss fight, except that the attacks come faster. The second phase has the trees start falling down, and you have to dodge each falling tree or else your health will be depleted by 50% all while trying to damage Cuckoo. The final phase shows the destroyed forest- you’ve gotta use a crossbow to target down Cuckoo (Who is in the trees) to land a hit on her.
Purrla: The fight begins with the original fight, but Purrla is much faster than usual. The second phase transitions to the middle of the clock tower, in which you have to dodge obstacles Temple Run Style, all while damaging Purrla. The final phase is in the heart of the tower, and you have to carefully make your way across gears in order to distract Purrla and damage her.
Fortstopher IV: The fight starts with the original fight- except the chess pieces move if you move. The second phase has Fortstopher IV running towards you, and you have to RUN FOR DEAR LIFE if you don’t want to get a game over. Also trigger the Rose bushes to send their thorns at him to damage him. The final phase is in the garden, In which you have to light the correct fuse in order to damage the boss.
The Grim Creeper: The battle begins with the original battle, except the attacks come much faster than usual. The second phase has the ice stalactites fall down on you, and you can use them to your advantage if you dodge them in time. Use the Frost Giant costume to hurl them at the boss. The third phase has the cave start to melt entirely- and the sun will start to reflect on some ice crystals. Reflect the light by turning the ice crystals to damage and stun the boss while you can.
Princess Marey: The fight starts out as the original fight, but the attacks are faster and Marey gets angry at every hit she takes. By the second phase, the rides start to malfunction and go haywire. Get on the roller coaster and equip the cannon. Throw Ping pong balls at the boss’s shield to damage her. The final phase has you dodge prizes that have gone haywire. Throw them back at Marey to stun her and land a hit on her.
Inkabelle: The fight starts with the original fight, but the spinning gets faster every single time. The second phase includes Inkabelle splattering paint everywhere, including some that can deplete your health. The final phase shows the paintings coming to life and trying fo attack you. Use the Inky Blaster Costume to counter these attacks and land a hit on the boss.
The Hydrac: The fight starts with the original fight, but magma bombs are launched every now and then. The second phase has the arena drop onto a magma river, and lava blobs jump out to try and damage you. Grab the super soaker and try to damage the boss as much as you can. The final phase has an erupting volcano, and lava bombs are raining down on you. Trick the boss into getting hit with one of these in order to damage it further.
Hooverton: The first phase has the original fight, but with trash piling up every so often. Phase two includes more trash being piled up, and Hooverton becomes invisble more often. Use the paint bombs to reveal his location while knocking down trash. The final phase has trash piling up everywhere, and you have to knock the trash towers down to damage him.
If I was in a boss fight where I would be running like the speed of light as I'm being chased by it while chess pieces move if I move anywhere else I'd panic...
And I like panic
All this game needed was another button
And maybe dialoge.

In some parts of Purrla’s theme, it sounds like as if a bunch of cats are laughing maniacally... and I love it.
Prior to this video, I didn't know the names of the bosses, save for the final boss, Lance. As a result, I often imagined them being named after varying mythological creatures:
1.Airwolf (Air+Werewolf)
2. Scylla or Charybdis (Homer's Odyssey)
3. Tsuchigumo or Jorogumo (Yo-kai)
4. Gremlin
5. Bruxsa (Portuguese bird/vampire)
6. Bakeneko (Yo-kai)
7. Tsar Talos (Chess+Ancient Greek mecha)
8. Baba Yaga or Chernobog (Slavic)
9. Fantome (Phantom of the Opera)
10. Galatea (Ancient Greek sentient sculpture)
11. Fire Hydra-nt (That pun was just begging to be said)
12. Chapak (author who coined the term "robot")
Ah, I love these names!! They really suit the bosses!!
These boss are not only cool in design wise, but also provide their challenges, some can be easy while others take a bit longer, and thats what I like,,also can we just agree that these themes are lit

the thing i found most interesting about these bosses is that they are fusion of all the customes in their stages, i think its really cool
Hooverton has probably the most climactic theme for what is, imo, the weirdest world in the game. A bunch of cube ruins with a bunch of outfits about cleaning and being invisible? Like, what?
Those cube things are pieces of trash and debris. The cleaning costumes represents the job the cleaner in the chapter has, and the invisible man is a representation on that man thinks he is seen by nobody.

I am one of the only people who loved the game. I see some problems like some costumes not letting you jump and some of the game was easy but the game can be really hard if you want it to be try 100% the game I did not mind the one button thing as much. I loved the music and the style it was fun for me a lot.

@@timmycu Oh, the game has a story. They released a novel that details it. Can't say if it's terrible or not, though I think it says something about how the story was presented in game if they felt they had to release another medium to tell it.

Dang these boss themes sound really good. They sound like they belong to a different game though, looking at how pretty uninteresting the actual boss battles tend to look with the same trend of run around and beat the boss in three hits.

Alright, I'm having enough of this sad negative chat on just a simple game. We could've hyped up a sequel or a DLC that would've FIXED EVERYTHING YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT! But no... oh, and don't tell me it was the gameplay that made you lose it! You just don't really want to hear ANY of the better side of the game because you want to complete and speedrun the entire game until you're done and leave it. And Don't even think of judging me, just agree and leave. BTW every bit of negativity is powering Lance, meaning even if you hate, you are feeding power to him more and more which makes him more lovable. And if there was a sequel, Balan will also be doing the same
