Just ordered one as well I’m loving the selection it really beats the pants off of the best buddy mini it was like I need a breakdown beat after a metal track and that pedal just didn’t have that option don’t get me wrong it’s a good beat pedal but this is just so much better with the selection
Hi Perry Frank, how are you? Because of this video I finally decided to buy this one. Takes me a long time to decide buying it... Your video helping me so much as you show all the groove that let me know all of them... Thanks guys
Good demo, thanks! Bought it a few days ago to replace the Beat Buddy. Like the versatility. Sound quality over an acoustic amp is good. Lots of beats sound too “busy” but there is enough that is useable. Being able to EQ the sound is a big plus, as is the possibility to save patterns. Have not quite figured out how to effectively use the “banks”; there are 11 banks, and if I understand correctly, one should be able to save 7 patterns for each bank (so in total 77). Correct?
I have this X2 to.... But one mono jack out goes to an bass combo. I miss treble and vivit sound from the pedal. To what kind of other speaker goes your OTHER X2 mono- jack OUT into???..... 😉 (my Bass combo has no tweeter (or mid) unit build in.) Should I buy an extra normal guitar speaker to get vivid tones from my pedals??
ok so how do you after saved a track switch back n forth without having to reach down and turn know while play or does it have that function that's the kinda pedal I havent been able to find
WHy are the lights along the left contstanly on & the number 1 constantly blinking no matter what youre doing, its always blicking. what do all the lights even mean 1 thru 7
Those are saved settings within the pedal, the lights on the lef., if you hold down both switches you can select one, one switch goes up one goes down.
thanks to take time for demo this stuff Franck. About sound of lot of sssssss on cymbals and a lot of reverb on snare, it's noissy, groove are poor I think a small part of them are really efficient to play with.
Tried beatbuddy mini, the fills were awful and as someone who wanted it for song writing aid with acoustic guitar the drum beats were next to useless. This sounds much better and the fills are more in keeping with the beats.
You're right though, it's totally about taste...I'm of the Ginger Baker, Jimmy Chamberlain school so loathe the simplistic beats, but they are needed and I hear what you're saying. I'm struggling at the other end to find a dynamic and analogue drum sim still
wish you would stop pressing the fill button inbetween the genre and patterm changes so that people can hear the actual beat changes ! thats so annoying !
Thanks for the video. Do I understand correctly that if I would use it as a standalone pedal outside my pedal board, I will only need one cable (Line Out) to work (of course +power cable)? Also, do you know if it’s possible to plug into an amp that has a standard 3.5 mm mini jack (AUX)?
I prefer to use it directly to a mixer using a cab simulator before the pedal. I don't like drum sounds in a guitar amp. Yes you can connect it after the pedalboard
Best review EVER
🙏🙏🙏
Needed an effect to jam / record with, this TOTALLY fits the bill!!
Excellent demo and Thank You for posting it. Just ordered one. 🤘🏻

Excellent video showing the controls and beats! I found more of these Moore beats useful than some other pedal makers.
Thank you 🙏

Thank you very much 🙏
Good review without hasty comments. Thanks.
I was going to buy the Digitech one for twice as much, but forget it! I canceled the order and ordered this one!
Thank you so much! Any chance you can do one showing the external footswitch functions?
Your video helped me a lot! I just ordered mine
Glad to be useful
thank you. I plan to buy this after that latin joint
Just purchased...this helped...thx
Thank you 🙏

Excuse me for the silly question but can this device play in other time measurements other than 4/4. Fir example uneven like 7/8 , 9/8 and so on?
I don't think so. However, the last two grooves on each section are in 3/4. So if you switch between 3/4 and 4/4 constantly, you get 7/8 :P
😂 I gotta wait like 4 days aaarrgh the suspense what I m Gonna do with this gem will be worth hearing !!
any of these patterns would fit for melodic post rock ?
awesome review. I borrowed a drum machine from a friend and it was so hard to get the beat right. This seems simple and I just ordered one!
Thanks
Hi so how's your experience so far? I just ordered mine.
@@perebernardo3829 I use it to practice with guitar at home. Never used live because my genre is ambient.

I ordered me one \m/ Good demo👍
Will it connect with the Nux mg30?
thanks!
🙏🙏🙏
I think It's nice to have a save mode on a bank so that it can used in a gig without a cut/hang in ur performance just tweaking those knobs.
Yes it's nice
Or if your writing a track it’s just a matter of it running through the presets :)
This is very useful, thank you Perry! I wonder how this compares to the Donner circle looper drums 🤔
Thanks a lot 🙏 this pedal has good drum sounds, but it's not a looper.
This is the only bad thing
Is there a way to start the beat with a fill? Or do you have to push start and then hit fill afterwards? Thx
Yes I think you can start with a fill
Se puede hacer un patrón de bolero con percusiones
Check complete list in the description of the video
I want it but I can't find any store even online that sells it
Did you check on Thomann?
Exactly what it miss in my ge300 perfect at least 👍😉
Where in the pedal chain does this go
I suppose at the end of the chain, and probably it's better to connect it directly to an audio interface, not to amps
@@PerryFrank thanks

are the fills the same on individual patterns perry?
No they're different
@@PerryFrank THANK YOU
How does it work on laptop computer
Good

I see you are using in stereo, can it be used in mano?
Mono I mean
Yes of course

What is your opinion on this Mooer pedal vs BeatBuddy Mini 2 ??
I prefer the Mooer
Tried beatbuddy mini, the fills were awful and as someone who wanted it for song writing aid with acoustic guitar the drum beats were next to useless. This sounds much better and the fills are more in keeping with the beats.
So far best one I've seen. Can it do 5/4? 7/4? 12/8? All the other demos are metal heads. Yuch....
It can do 3/4 and 6/8 for most of the genres
cAN THAT VERY FIRST BEAT ........BE DONE without THE DOUBLE SNARE HIT? SO ITS JUST A STRAIGHT SIMPLE BEAT ????
Nice video. Really wish they would have added maybe an "urban" or "rap" section, wirh boombap, trap, lofi, drill, etc...
Thank you 🙏
🤮 It was built for musicians, not crap.
I hope they don't come out with Guitarist X2 someday. Lol!
Thank God, no disco setting!!!
Oh yeah
Once again
With seemingly all these drum machine pedals
If I wanted overplaying
I’d hire a real drummer
Cool! How much does it cost to hire a real drummer?
Once again...not for you then.
All of these drum machine pedals do it
So I guess the programmers wanted none of them to be “for me”
So you guys don’t think this would be considered “overplaying” I guess
You're right though, it's totally about taste...I'm of the Ginger Baker, Jimmy Chamberlain school so loathe the simplistic beats, but they are needed and I hear what you're saying. I'm struggling at the other end to find a dynamic and analogue drum sim still

It's probably more annoying to read your unrequested comment
@@PerryFrank no, it was annoying why do it serves zero purpose? take the criticism, you need it
You should make a video of more than 1 hour.
Cool very cool!
Oh do shut up 🔔 end
I like hearing the fills. If he hadn't, you would have complained about not hearing the fills. 😒 Some people are never happy.
