THANK YOU ! - Навчання та стиль
Quick tip Jimmy: if you place the top inking pan disc under a hot tap for a few seconds it will warm up nicely then the ink will take to it better and distribute the ink more evenly when you start on cold days. Been in the printing trade for over 30 yrs. Keep up the great work.
Hairdryer would do a great job. Heat gun a little excessive. All you are doing is warming the metal up which therefore warms the ink up so it flows better. It's best to avoid using ink that is stored in a cold area straight away. Plan ahead. Let it be at room temperature. 👍🏼👍🏼
I love those old printed presses Jimmy! All of the old time machinery was such well engineered and beautifully crafted! It’s great to see you saving them and putting them to use I your projects. Save me one those cards for my display cabinet! 👍🏻
3 minutes?! It's like a diet Diresta classic.
I love what you've been doing lately with emphasizing the rhythmic character of the press and other tools!
Sure. We could all do that if we could afford a 100 y/o printing press! Awesome video! Now when you meet someone, you will be thinking “are they card worthy?”
You could also use a potatoe.
There's something so satisfying about that "clack... ka-chunk!"
Watching the press is very hypnotic. And those cards look great!
Beautiful to see such amazing machines restored and working, Sir = I bow in your direction
Loved the sound of that printing rhythm, so satisfying to watch and hear.
It's amazing! I liked these cards very much.
100 years apart in technology still inviolable today love it
Nice! Love the fusion videos of modern and old school technology. There's something poetic about it...
Combining old with new! If Johannes Gutenberg were alive today he'd be pleased!
The game of coordination in self
He would be ridiculously old too.
True, but Alois Senefelder may have some thoughts to share.....
Steve Guttenberg, however, is unimpressed. But what's he done, lately? Or ever.
Hahahaha
I love seeing this machine, it's huge, probably weighs a ton, is old, but has a really delicate touch. It's joy to watch. Nice one Jimmy!
Very Very cool. Loved to see all this in action!
This has got to be one of the coolest videos out there. So cool to use some of the latest cutting edge technology, and they antique stuff over 100 years old :) Love if
Now that is combining the old with the new.
Introducing "Direstaprint", the new place to get business cards from.
Looks awesome jimmy. Great new business card.
Laser and foot powered press! You can't get more Diresta than that. Awesome.
Love the mix of old and new technology! Fun video.
You're absolutely killing it with the videos lately! Amazing work, keep it up Jimmy!
Just remember to switch legs on that thing or you'll always walk in circles due to the extra muscles on the one!
You have raised the bar on business cards.. We are all gonna have to get extra creative with our business cards now 😋
That's Rad!
I love the recent influx of your videos. They are giving us a physical look at some of your many ideas you have on paper and elsewhere. I feel like you are showing us the 3D sketch in these shorter videos. Keep up the great content!
Amazing engineering. It's a work of art on its own!
I love that business card style!!!!!
love the mix of old and new!
I love it!! The new and old 😊💪🏻
Great machine. It’s amazing that they designed such a giant to do a relatively simple task.
I’ve never noticed before that the outer part of the ink plate(?) rotates. You can only really tell as the ink is being loaded. I’m guessing it is to help distribute the ink, very clever. Old machines are so cool!
The human and mechanical action bond! So cool to watch!
That really is a neat old machine, thanks for the video.
getting that rhythm down! haha 2:16
Love a bit of old and new, can’t fault it.
They look great! Looking forward to get one next time when i meet you Jimmy 👍

Your printer is a really beautifull machine jimmy!

I could've picked up that same press last summer for $300, but I couldn't think of a big enough reason to need it. Never thought of business cards, great idea!

I have the scene from American Psycho stuck in my head. "Laser cut business card, my god. DiResta font."
"The tasteful thickness of it."
*sweats and stares*
Is that a watermark..
You're pretty good with using two hands at the same time in the same motion.👐 👊🏻
It is interesting to observe the mechanisms!
Can’t help but think a guy running that press all day back in the day must have had one hell of a right leg :)
Nice Video..... Nice work ...! Great .. !
Watching that press is hypnotic.
sick beat mate!
Great job for a drummer
I love this machine
Nice vídeo Jimmy! Brasil na área!
That's badass Jimmy. I'll take 2, please and thank you!

Hypnotic!
super awesome..
that is so freaking cool.
Nice work
Does the ink dry pretty fast, so you can stack them up right away without laying them out to dry? Loved the combination of old and new technologies to create a one-of-a-kind product!
Did you know that 5.3 million fingers are lost in letter press accidents every year? Nice looking business cards!
