- When healing from trauma, we are constantly surrounded by things/people that remind us of our traumas and we start to think if it eventually becomes easier.
In today’s video, I respond to a community member’s question from a previously recorded live broadcast.

Yes.
I totally agree that the active part of mental healing is hard! I like to compare it to my physical fitness journey where initially I had to actively choose the healthier food option even though I still very much wanted the junk food and then initially going to the gym was not desirable or fun and the workout itself was uncomfortable but…after consistency it became easier and I started to see and feel the benefits of choosing to move. Mental wellness similar to physical wellness takes time but it’s so worth it if you can stick with the #growingpains
Yes! I've made similar comparisons. 😊 Thanks so much for watching and sharing. ❤️
Peggy, I was blessed because most of my mother's side of the family pushed me away after I revealed my story. I came "out" 3 years after my mom passed. My mom knew of my abuse. She couldn't face "it" just like she couldn't face her own abuse from her older brother.
Nowadays, I am getting to know my biological Dad's family. I've never met them; I never met my biological Dad either. I had over 10 years of in-person therapy. Nowadays, I use tapping when I get a thought, that could be disturbing. I am Free!
I'm sorry you didn't get the support you deserved. ❤️ Though I'm so glad you're in a place where you feel free. Thank you for sharing.
I suppose we're edging forward all the time, three steps forward, two steps back, but not always, yet moving forward nonetheless. It's not a linear process, it spirals and swirls along like everything in life.
Always moving forward. Even in the times when it seems there is no progress, as long as you are staying mindful, you're moving forward. ❤️
I find myself always thinking about all the time with all that happened in ways I didn’t expect to happen, and then not understanding or knowing what to do or say,and I find myself thinking,as the only thing to do with no choices 🤔🧩🦋🙏namaste
