This was a very good video from the beginning. Mercado Lanza was built to give the street vendors a place to sell their products. Not that long ago, before it was built, people would cook and sell their food, and others would sell others kinds of things, all in the San Francisco Plaza. Mercado Lanza isn't the greatest market place La Paz has to offer, but then it's in the north side of the city. Mercado Camacho is similar to Lanza but a lot nicer - but it's a little further southeast of Lanza. The further south you go, the more sophisticared it gets. I hope go do video of the south end of the city, and the middle (of the city), too. But thank you for this video.
Thanks for the insights, Antonio! We've spent only 2 days in La Paz so didn't have much time to discover more areas. Next time, I'll ask for your recommendations :)
I’m just planning my next trip and thinking about a Bolivia Peru combo, this video is exactly what I’m looking for! Beautifully done. May I ask about the safety there as I hear mixed things?
That sounds perfect, enjoy it ☺️ and thanks for your kind words 😊 We were careful and didn't go to dangerous areas, so we didn't witnessed anything "bad'. Just don't wear fancy stuff and I think you'll be fine 😁
La Paz is an interesting and special city and it amazed me, especially when on the 2nd day we out of the city centre. I've never been in a place like La Paz and it's worth visiting. I shared my experiences during our 2 day visit.
Hi..im planning to visit in Bolivia next May 2023. Is that mandatory to have a Yellow fever vaccine before to enter in Bolivia? What's hotel did you stay ? Hotel looks nice and safety. Is that hotel close to main old town?
Hi :) I'm not sure about the vaccine... I got it years before because of Brazil :D We stayed at La Posada de la Abuela Obdulia, in the description, below the video, you'll find a link to my blog post, and it has the Booking link to the hotel if you want to check out. It had a great location, and the centre was within walking distance. Have fun in Bolivia, and visit more places, it's such a beautiful country :)
Great video! We are americans living in Bolivia and the buses are usually pretty nice, but did the wifi really work? We see that sign often but they never have wifi on the buses we have been on
The name of the hostel is La Posada de la Abuela Obdulia. You'll find a link and more decsription to it in my blog post if you check the description under the video.
Hi, when did you arrive at La Paz airport? I plan a trip to Uyuni, but the flight arrives at La Paz at 2AM. Is the custom open at 2AM? how long does it take to go through the custom (assume I don't have a visa and have to pay after landing)? Thanks in advance.
First we did the Uyuni trip (from Chile, finishing in Uyuni), there's another video about that. Then we went by a night bus to La Paz. So I'm sorry, but I can't help you with visa and custom questions. I'm Hungarian, so I didn't need visa. When entering from Chile to Bolivia, some people had to pay, but I can't provide you information about custom in La Paz.
Wow, I was dreaming of visiting La Paz one day. But wow, what a depressing and butt ugly place this is?! It is an environmental disaster, a huge urban slum that crawls up the mountain. I feel claustrophobic just by watching this video.
@Nastro Adhesivo I enjoyed the cable car, because it provided a unique angle to the city and also a sad angle, seeing the poverty and the small houses. My super rain, my headache and us could only discover this much...

Great video! We are americans living in Bolivia and the buses are usually pretty nice, but did the wifi really work? We see that sign often but they never have wifi on the buses we have been on
Thank you :) the wifi didn't work at all... At least the bus was comfy, so we could sleep ;)

@@williamli6200 sounds super good! Enjoy your trip :)
What camera do you use to récord this?
I recorded everything with a GoPro Hero black 7, for the specifications you can check the link in the description.
Do you have any local friend I'm on my to Bolivia, any recommendation!
I don't have friends in Bolivia, though if you scroll down at the comments, you can ask Bolivia Life ;) Have fun in Bolivia, enjoy it!

Well it's not the most beautiful city ever, that's true 😆 but it has nice sides, travelling on the cable car was an epic experience 😊
