I had to have 2 knee surgeries and a pick line from a Staph infection this past summer/fall. Wasn’t allowed to do things, like bend far or lift-had to rest. Bored to tears. My parents recommended Longmire. Since I was home alone during the daytime with my family all at work, I was able to binge watch. OMG!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!! Wish it was more than 6 seasons.
What a classsic series - so well written, filmed and casting is superb. Someone in Hollywood surely can realize the standard of excellence achieved in this show. It's what America wants!
My husband and I loved the series. We only watched it last year while we were staying in Houston. My husband was in cancer treatment at MDA. It was a welcomed distraction from our situation and we looked forward to watching together. After each show we’d say, “one more? Sure!” Sometimes we’d watch 3 a night. The last scene with Vic and Walt on the porch where she said, “I don’t think I can live without you if you die.” And Walt’s response…. It took my breath away because we were literally living it at the time. Actually, Walt’s wife dying of at first thought, cancer, was a lingering theme too. Sadly, my husband did not survive his cancer and passed on January 18, 2024. I’ve always wanted to express my gratitude for your show and hopefully somehow you would read this message. We watched it at the perfect time. I’ll always have a special connection and place in my heart for Longmire. God bless you all.
I loved the both of you on Longmire. A great show with a great cast. I told my older brother about Longmire and he became an ardent fan. Thank you for a great show.
Truly Longmire is one of the greatest Western series ever & one of the most underrated shows ever. I watched it over the pandemic after Deadwood & Justified. Needed to continue my Western kick & there was Longmire. I love this show so much, I do hope maybe we can get a revival of some sort whether it’s a reunion mini series or special or a film, but we shall see. It’s great to see this though
😂😂😂 His imitation of his little girl swearing was hysterical!!! This conversation was so fun to listen to! You both have the same great sense of humor and I think he’s still a ‘wreaking ball’ handsome man!!!
More Longmire, yesss! Watched the whole series again. Reminds me of the America of my youth. Walt is a pain in the rear but the guy you want with you if trouble comes. And Vic, forget about the jeans. Katee once said that of all the characters she played, Vic was the most like herself. Maybe that's why we love Vic.
Longmire is such a good show...would love to see an additional season...maybe four episodes or so. Just enough to give us an update on everyone, all wrapped up with a bow.
One season of 4 episodes seems too little. I would love a few seasons with like 6 episodes of one full hour. One great story/mystery on each season and little everyday things/adventures that happen on every episode showing us how the characters evolved and the dynamic between them. Man hope never dies!
There is a HUGE audience for a potential continuation of Longmire. The powers that be are in a power struggle to their own detriment. Demographics be damned! As I've always said and Katee pointed out, who do they think buys stuff?! We are the spenders. Longmire's cast, writers, producers, etc. set the gold standard for today's love of contemporary westerns. No other show holds a candle to it. The characters had amazing chemistry. They were courageous, flawed, strong and in the end, tried to do what was good and just. Loved every cast member and above all, I am a BIG Walt and Vic fan!! Bring it back!!
Omg I LOVE Longmire and I LOVE Robert Taylor! The best show I've seen in a long time - and I saw it only last year (bingewatched it, of course). BRING IT BACK!
Australian here, I didn't know about Longmire, but I recently watched The Territory on Australian Netflix with Robert Taylor and he was amazing! I might have to pick up Longmire now and give that a watch.
I have really enjoyed your conversation, many thanks. I am thrilled to hear about the possibility of Longmire returning! Everyone who has seen it LOVES it! You are all excellent actors and the writing and scenes fantastic! Lots of talented people. HAVE A HAPPY DAY!
Longmire is an amazing show. Top to bottom. I have watched it 5 times. Yes. Why? So well produced. Cinematography, acting, ensemble, editing. Just brilliant. Can't believe it did not continue.
I LOVE Longmire! I can't watch the series enough. Such great acting! I truly hope and pray the series comes back. I really enjoyed listening to the two of you.
I’ll probably get a lot of grief for admitting this, but Longmire was my introduction to Katee. Loved this show! Went back and reviewed more of Katee’s body of work. Then was pleasantly surprised to see her on the Mandalorian! Much love to Katee!
I was trying to figure out why she looked familiar while watching Longmire so I did a Google search and saw she did lots of Sci Fi. I'm not a fan of that and so was still trying to figure it out. Then I hit a light bulb and searched for guest stars on Big Bang Theory and sure enough, she was on two episodes of that.
Longmire needs to return. It's one of the most interesting series that was on air. I love your work Katee....Mando is sexy and intriguing. BUT Longmire was breathless with the cast and story lines. Robert brought Walt to life with the cowboy attitude. Great chemistry. Keep up the excellent work the both of you!
These two are lightning in a bottle, 'nuff said. I appreciate Rob calling out Katee's presence in her scenes; one of the immediately obvious pillars of the series. Katee, you are a truly fine actress, creating such vivid characters yet then playing them with such an intricate subtlety. And as Rob pointed out, with an almost exquisite ability to stay in the scene. That's typically the domain of the stage actor; that you do it in front of cameras is all the more impressive.
Longmire is a stunning character play. Intelligent actors intelligent script, beautiful scenery, great Native American cast. I’ve just discovered it this year and am hooked on the characters. Great actors getting to shine in good roles is a rare thing these days. The decency of the characters lifts this show above a lot of other shows that have tried to do similar shows but with cruel or insensitive or selfish characters. This show excels at showing Natives in all their beauty and flaws. The culture is shown. The poverty is shown. The struggles of Native Americans is shown. Great cast makes all the difference. I’ve only recently discovered this series. It’s been such a real charmer. The actors are intelligent and bring that intelligence to their roles. The background setting of New Mexico really enriches the scenes. I found your discussion with Robert about what actors bring to their roles interesting. I always wondered how you decide what to do in a scene. What feels real for the character has to be a big deal on the set. And chemistry plays into that too. Really want the story to continue. Older actors are fine and have a lot to offer, damn the demographics. Fans are aging too. It’s okay to be older characters in well written shows. And this show has evolved over the years and the characters should be allowed to age. This series needs to come back with the same cast! We all want the story to continue. Great podcast. Robert Taylor is a great actor and his chemistry with Vic is a real draw, with two people working together in an incredibly dangerous profession. Fight for new shows to be made! Love Katee’s portrayal of Vic. The actors are brilliant and it is not often you find a series where the actors are allowed to shine. Well done.
Katee and Robert, I loved the interview. I would so love for Longmire to come back. Love love love Longmire ❤️ You are both great actors as well as the whole cast. I love that all of you are family.
Loved the Longmire series. Was just thinking a couple of days ago that it was time to give it another watch. Then this podcast pops up on my feed. Great episode Katee and Robert!
OMG, this was fabulous!!! The thought of Longmire coming back is the best thing I've heard in years! I do miss it so much, and it was truly a wonderful cast and storylines. I await further news with bated breath, cheers!
By far the best show I’ve watched that no one I know seems to have seen despite my constantly plugging it. One of those shows where every role was perfectly cast, full of interesting, complex, complicated characters. I will watch the shit out of any further seasons.
The series finale of Longmire was so well done, and so open-ended, there exists endless ways in which the series could be brought back - and if that happened, a renewed version of Longmire would open at the top of any streaming service that produced it. Longmire v. 2.0 is a no-brainer.
Character-building was so strong in longmire - rare - but it was the RELATIONSHIPS viewers fell in love with. Silence between Walt & Henry, a parallel silent look-away stare of Walt & Vic… each knowing not only each other’s thoughts but also each others inner emotional hangups within… ugh. ❤️🙏❤️
I'm one of those people who usually doesn't revisit a show once it's over, I'll get through it and that's it, maybe if it's the only thing on I'll watch it. Longmire is the exception, I love the show it's one of my favorite. One, I'm a fan of westerns, also a retired law enforcement officer in a rural, mountainous area and small town and also Native American, so that interested me right off the bat, but it had phenomenal actors, great writing and awesome source material and stories. I really hope that this show comes back, I know I will be right there watching if it happens.
I enjoyed the Longmire series very much, enjoyed and appreciate both of you, your work at bringing the characters to life, will look forward to any future Longmire stories, or other projects you tackle, wish you the best in your careers and most important, family life
I usually avoid listening to celebrity interviews because they usually talk so much pretensious shit, but this episode was totally different, both Taylor and Sackoff sound like real regular, decent people, and of course both are excellent actors. It was a great pleasure listening to both actors.
I loved Longmire. I was so upset when A&E cancelled the show for dumb reason. I'll forever be indebted to Netflix for renewing it and finishing the series.
I love the dynamic that you and Robert have. I love Longmire and it would be so fantastic to see you all back in the series, Keeping my fingers crosses,
I have seen 2 seasons of "Dark Winds" on Netflix. Zahn (Mathias) on Longmire is policeman Lt. Joe Leaphorn. The series is based on characters "Leaphorn and Chee" a novel series. I visited Gallup, NM in 1975 with my family. Jessica Matten and Kiowa Gordon are great also.
Still watch Longmire, think I'm on my fourth watch of the show as I'm introducing my boyfriend to Longmire. Please bring it back! You filmed this in my backyard, so to speak, as I grew up in Northwest NM. Love ya!
My late ❤parents admired “ Longmire “. Thank You 😊 for that performance 🎭. Too bad they won’t see any additional add on’s. My family did enjoy that show. One of your best acting roles Hard to find any decent drama 🎭 outside books 📚 nowadays
I absolutely loved Longmire, which I'm due a rewatch soon. Watching the show led me to the books, which are awesome. Please both of you make a revival happen.
Thank you for the wonderful Interview. You are fantastic actors! Love you both and Longmire - my favorite show. Have watched all the seasons several times. Finally getting to go to Longmire Days this year. Would love to meet both of you!
Katee, I'm in full agreement with the other comments so brilliantly added throughout this thread, Longmire should truly be a never-ending story. My husband and I happened across it on Netflix a few years ago and to date, we've now watched it from beginning to end approximately 20 times - with each viewing exposing something we'd missed many times before. The interwoven storylines are done to perfection and topics were broached that are so powerful, so real, and so very well projected by you and the entire cast of Longmire. Every episode upheld the magnificence of writer/actor kinship. My fingers are tightly crossed that it will indeed continue in some format; movie, series, etc. You are such an intricate part of the cast and your talents left me spellbound while watching. You're such a “bad-ass-broad” and I say that with affection and respect, but you also gave so much of yourself during the vulnerable scenes as well, you excelled and exceeded to such lengths, I truly am in awe and I thank you for what you gave to us, the viewers. If you lived close, I'd bake you a batch of chocolate chip cookies, grab a jug of cold milk, and ask you over to sit and visit for an afternoon. Your intelligence and insight tell me I would enjoy having you as a friend - or a surrogate granddaughter...yes, I'm old. LOL Thank you for your creativity, talent, ethics, and huge heart, you're a wonderful individual.
Last night I watched the last episode of Longmire. I had not know ahead of time that it was the end, but as it came to an end, you could feel it. For me the feeling was very sad, I have enjoyed this more than any other series, that I usually binge watch with usually 2-3 a night. Will watch it again, because it was fulfilling for me and I hope you guys get to do another season or more. We all loved you....Never give up!
My mum got me into Longmire when she was living with me. We were so into it. I was so sad when it ended as that is when my mother moved back to the other end of the country, so I lost her and our show. Thinking that maybe if it comes back, she will decide to move back up north haha. This was such a great conversation it was lovely to hear the banter back and forth, I did not know that Robert was an Aussie his American accent is so great.
I’ve watched longmire numerous times! It’s an annual rewatch for me! Though I didn’t like your characters getting together…but perfect that aside and wonderful!!
And it had one of the best TV show endings ever. I sometimes watch the closing montage of "Longmire - A goodbye was always implied", with the amazing music from "Lake Huron - Ends of the Earth" playing. You get a extremely well done closure montage for each(!) of the characters. And then, the crowning long running gag, Walt Longmire, who never had a cell phone, always borrowed them from everyone and their dog, actually finally having a cell phone :). Extremely well done, amazing cast. Gritty but funny. Loved it.
Fk yeah. What a great chat with one of my favourite fellow Aussies. Love you too Katie. Seriously you are one of my favourite actors 👌 Loved Longmire from the beginning. Would LOVE to see it return. And why not. You’re right I reckon it inspired a bunch of recent successes, so why not the one that did the e inspiring. Such a great show. I would eat it up if it returned!! 🤞🤞🤞
Rewatching Longmire now. It was so well done, and the cast had such great chemistry. Personally, I needed more of the age gap romance scenes. 😉 Loved the Walt/Vic relationship and ,well, Robert Taylor is one of the sexiest men alive. So, two thumbs up.
Bring back the show Longmire! My grandfather homesteaded in Buffalo, Wyoming in the 20's....he remembered the Occidental Hotel! I was just out there visiting the Homestead and rest assure,- the town also loves Longmire.
LONGEST INTERVIEW EVER because I found the channel thru Jewel Staite, then randomly watched this, bookmarked it, TOOK A TWO MONTH BREAK to watch all of Longmire :D LUL and was very rewarded!! Thanks Katee! And you kind of answered my question: did the big cop utility belt Help with acting?
Longmire is my favorite tv show! I have watched all six seasons many times. All the stories were great. Not even one episode felt as a filler. Amazing storytelling, amazing cast. I wish you had shoot more seasons, like 10! It makes me very happy whenever I watch it. It would make me even more happy if there was a continuation with the same main cast though and some new ones of course!😀
Please, Please bring this show back. Simply the best
theres a suposed revival of this show. i don't know when.
Hope this comment was made after listening to full episode. Beginning around 49min they talk about current happenings and efforts to revive.
@@hualani6785 sad news. longmire is leaving netflix soon. next year janurary 1st, 2025, but it has a new home, paramount plus
I have to say Longmire was one of the best shows on TV Robert and you certainly had special chemistry.
One of THE greatest shows there's ever been, "please" tell me there will be more!!! PLEASE!!!!!
Longmire was a fabulous show! Really miss it! ❤🎉❤ All cast members were strong and added so many nuances!

Good morning. I am a Longmire fan and I still believe it's due a revival. Longmire was epic.
Great interview. I loved it when Robert’s accent use to poke through every now and again on Longmire. I miss it, great show for adults.

I loved her in Longmire.
And that's just one actor of at least a dozen others who earned my admiration in the series.

Great shows, great books! We need more seasons!!! Hope you guys can make it happen!
Excellent series with great actors, you need to keep the series going ❤
I’ve watched longmire numerous times! It’s an annual rewatch for me!
Though I didn’t like your characters getting together…but perfect that aside and wonderful!!
What a treat! Oh my! Yes, please do all you can to get Longmire back. What can I do individually to help?
I LOVED Longmire so much!!
Loved it.
Loved you both on Longmire. As an Aussie, I just rewatched it on the 7Now Plus app the last few months.
A great show I really miss it and I'm not big on cop shows.
Longmire saved lives over the covid thank you!
Fk yeah. What a great chat with one of my favourite fellow Aussies. Love you too Katie. Seriously you are one of my favourite actors 👌
Loved Longmire from the beginning. Would LOVE to see it return. And why not. You’re right I reckon it inspired a bunch of recent successes, so why not the one that did the e inspiring. Such a great show. I would eat it up if it returned!! 🤞🤞🤞
So glad you did this podcast.

I miss it so much ❤
Rewatching Longmire now. It was so well done, and the cast had such great chemistry. Personally, I needed more of the age gap romance scenes. 😉 Loved the Walt/Vic relationship and ,well, Robert Taylor is one of the sexiest men alive. So, two thumbs up.
We loved Longmire we watched twice all episodes
Love the show. Just watched the series for the third time. Please bring it back!!
As much as I love BSG, Longmire is truly my favorite KS work. What a great show. Time for a rewatch. You two were great together.
You keep talking to the most interesting people and the time just flies by so fast.
My wife and I love Longmire I really hope they bring it back.
I have the complete series on DVD and we are going to watch it again
Bring back the show Longmire! My grandfather homesteaded in Buffalo, Wyoming in the 20's....he remembered the Occidental Hotel! I was just out there visiting the Homestead and rest assure,- the town also loves Longmire.
Oh I wish this had been in video form and not just audio to see the interaction/body language between these two wonderful actors!
Rewatching Longmire again. You and Robert were so good. The whole cast was great, but as a fan from BSG I loved what you brought to this role.
More Longmire please!!!
