  • You cant come to Riga and not visit at least one of the many Lido restaurants that are dotted around the city. Local hearty food and even some good local beers to wash it all down with.
    For those who want the real Latvian experience, you need to head to the Lido Recreation centre about 10 minutes by taxi from the centre of Riga. Here you will find one of Europe's largest log cabins filled with table, chairs and hungry locals bustling at the self serve counters for a helping of potato and fried meat.

    I guess that Lido is the main reason why do we have less MacDonalds in Latvija.

      Lido is a very good restaurant for sure

      This is techniclly not a buffet. It adds up an in the end its expensive. Yes you spend 2E her and 4E there but if you think about let say on the firs mea you pay 15E, if you go back fo the next you will spend anouth 10E, thats 25E. What if you want to get the 3rd plate? you will end up spending over 30E minimum. is this why there is not many fat people in Latvia?
