Note: Always use pipe dope on the black rubber gasket and also the threads on the drain assembly. Leaks are very common in that area. I would recommend using pipe dope on the threads of the P-trap as well.
nice! my 9000 instructions hav been misplaced, but since Nj legalized kind bud..a lotta stuff is getting misplaced. Ill watch the video as I install it.. if I can find the video again! 🤣🤣🤣👍
Help!!! How do you tighten the large nut under the sink you didn't show it in the video. Thanks. See it now no room get a wrench up in this area on my sink help!
The printed installation guide that came with the product states that "for sinks thinner than 1/4" use the plastic mounting bracket and the metal mounting bracket". I think that should actually say: "for sinks thinner than 1 1/4" (one and one quarter inches) use the plastic mounting bracket and the metal mounting bracket". I have a 1 inch thick sink and using the metal mounting bracket alone would not secure the part
Jim, I'm pretty you are correct that the instructions have an error. My sink deck is 1 1/8" and I had to use the plastic mounting bracket as well. It was not possible to tighten down the center piece without using the plastic bracket.
Yeah, my sink is 1.25 inch thick and I had to use the plastic mounting bracket. I think Moen changed the "stem" at some point but did not update the instructions. The stem in the instructions seems to have threads running all the way to the top, whereas the one in my kit (and this video) had the threads stopping about 1.25 inches from the top.
It would be helpful if when you are assembling the drain that we could see what you are doing maybe even from below All we can see is a video of the empty sink You are assembling components off camera Thanks otherwise
So annoying how you move the valves around yet don't explain anything, swirling them about in front of the camera does nothing. Wow you can hold a valve good job. Just speaking a little would make this so much better.
Thank you very much

Excellent DIY video. It helped me a lot. Thank you
Thanks 🙏
Good choice!
My plumber recommends Moen
This video was quite helpful and I totally disagree with the person who complained about the lack of commentary and bizarre music
Thank you very much Donovan J for your comment, there is work behind the videos and I appreciate the good comments and I also appreciate the bad ones.
Always use plumbers putty under the connections above the top and on the threads of the drain tailpiece.
for what?

My handle has become very hard to turn, how do I take it apart to replace the valve?

if you only use the metal bracket it also works perfect!

@@bigkid66 Right. It looks like the package I received contained the new stem with the old instructions.
How to remove these hoses if i need to do it ??
There is a black tab you can press to release the hoses. Pretty easy.
