This poem & video always touches my heart and soul. It grows and blossoms, as the seasons pass.
I'm not crying ... you're crying!
Sitting here with a tear in my eye and a lumb in my throat and happiness in my soul, a mix of feelings and emotions.
Comhgairdeachas,
Beir beannacht.

Every mom deserves a poem and a clip like this.

So Sorry but do you have a written version so we don’t make a mistake? My Uni Professor wants us to do an interpretation of your poem with a focus on the general picture of women 😊✌️
@@lenimayer3769 Hi Leni, if you send me an email (you’ll get it on my website, don’t want to add it here as bots might get it and spam me), I’ll send on the text of the poem. Thanks ❤️
Brilliant - great to see this work of art out in the world.

God forgive me but it's time to come clean to those of you who may not already know this little secret about me. I love poetry. I love to read it, to write it, to hear it. Yes, it is true. Lovely poem and film, but I'm afraid I do have a little issue. I do find that some poetry films using music in the background tend to drown out the words. I have no problem with using music, it's just the balance that I sometimes find uneven. At the end of this poem I can't quite make out what the poet says to his mother when she says she pretends to be happy, which is the crux of the poem. Maybe it's my computer, maybe it's my hearing, but it's frustrating. Rest of it is lovely though.
what's the music steve. its fab x the poem i mean
Fuck 'the scene', have fun, experiment and write from the heart. I hate the 'emerging' tag, what are writers 'emerging' from? I'm still learning my craft buddy, and the only advice worth listening to is whether you yourself believe you're doing your best writing or not. Good luck!
Saccharine rubbish
sirvidia yeah it is rather sentimental, I can’t help it sometimes and especially with this poem, it helped me to redefine my relationship with my mother and I’ll be forever grateful for having written it because of that. The lady playing my mother in the video was the directors mother and they’d a similar relationship and it helped them also. Sadly she passed away recently so this video and poem mean all the more to me as a result of that. But sure each to their own...
@@sjswords Love often gets it in the neck from informed quarters Stephen. I'm sure your mother got a kick out of that poem, well done !
Thanks chief.
Thanks Luke.
