There're less and less young Chinese women who are willing to give up everything just for a white guy, those types of stories are more common with Chinese women born in the 60's or 70's.

Not all Chinese women are like that. I've known a lot of Chinese women from smaller towns or cities in China who are quite approachable and aren't as demanding as the ones you met.

It's been my perception east asian women are more status oriented and prefer lighter skinned partners whereas SEA women are more relaxed with their standards. That being said my personal experience has been more diverse. One Chinese woman I dated didn't care about materialism so much as long as I made a decent living for myself. Another Chinese woman I dated definitely wanted all the expensive instagrammable experiences like fine dining and vacations. A Korean woman I dated wanted me to pay for a full day trip to Disney on our 2nd date. Fun times and some expensive lessons 😅
Depending on what type of East Asian women you're talking about, cause not all East Asian women are the same. I've known some Chinese women who are rather demanding with pretty high standards for men (usually they come from 1st or 2nd tier cities), but I've also met some other Chinese women (usually from smaller cities or towns, or ethnic minority regions) who are quite easy to hang out with.

I am a East Asian female/Mainland Chinese background who came to North America when I was 9yrs old and now fully integrated well in USA/CA with no accent and never been in ESL either (still also remain very much cultured with Chinese cultured like speak great fluent Chinese Mandarin read and write, and go back and visit families in Mainland often and nobody outside of close family will know I am now a ABC/CBC unless I tell them, and not that people care either since most people are doing well back in the motherland too), and as someone who is born between 1990s to 2002s. Majority of my East Asian specifically Mainland Chinese female friends in USA/CA all are corporate girlies, I think almost everyone in my circle are highly educated some have Bachelors and others even have MBAs, some are doctors, some are lawyers, some are IB Bankers/Consultants, some are Accountants, some are doing coding at FAANG, some are doing degree in Engineering and planning to become Engineers, and everyone of those girlies works hard and are trying their best at Life. And most those East Asian/Chinese background ladies I know do well in independently in their finances (since they make good enough money themselves) and most are not after dudes's money, since they don't really need to. Some of them are partnered up/married already to quality East Asian men who are also in Corporate in various industry. Others are still looking for similar level dudes. Whereas girlies like me who put emphasis on God/Spirituality/value/personality first typically will be less picky about Financials.

It's worth noting that the "white" doesn't necessarily mean the white one normally thinks of but more "like fair skin without blemishes and/or tan", more traditional asians usually desire that trait because in ancient times was usually a sign of the person either rich or has a relatively significant status, sometimes used as an insult for being weak ot sickly so that's why the "white" is often for the woman and not the man.

You also need to factor in that many women in Asian families are the bread winners. I think it's a huge generalization to say only Asian women are like that. There're women who value materialism in every ethnicity or culture. And not all Asian women are the same. Based on my experiences, I feel that Japanese, Korean, Asian American and Asian Canadian women from the west coast, as well as Chinese women from 1st and 2nd tier cities in China tend to be the most expensive, whereas SE Asian women (particularly Burmese, Cambodian, and Laotian) and Chinese women from smaller towns and cities tend to be more down to earth and easier to date.
And nowadays it isn't only women who check the credits of their partners, men are starting to do that as well. Not sure about others but Chinese men are less and less willing to date Flower Vase Girls or Bonzai Girls (referring to women who look pretty but don't know anything and completely rely on their partner for financial support).
The Japanese women I dated didn't care about that stuff and never asked. We go 50/50 on our dates. Most of the time we eat at a fast food restaurant or go to a 90 minute all you can eat buffet that was like $30 USD.

It's been my perception east asian women are more status oriented and prefer lighter skinned partners whereas SEA women are more relaxed with their standards.

I've known some Chinese women who are rather demanding with pretty high standards for men (usually they come from 1st or 2nd tier cities), but I've also met some other Chinese women (usually from smaller cities or towns, or ethnic minority regions) who are quite easy to hang out with.

I am a East Asian female/Mainland Chinese background who came to North America when I was 9yrs old and now fully integrated well in USA/CA with no accent and never been in ESL either (still also remain very much cultured with Chinese cultured like speak great fluent Chinese Mandarin read and write, and go back and visit families in Mainland often and nobody outside of close family will know I am now a ABC/CBC unless I tell them, and not that people care either since most people are doing well back in the motherland too), and as someone who is born between 1990s to 2002s. Majority of my East Asian specifically Mainland Chinese female friends in USA/CA all are corporate girlies, I think almost everyone in my circle are highly educated some have Bachelors and others even have MBAs, some are doctors, some are lawyers, some are IB Bankers/Consultants, some are Accountants, some are doing coding at FAANG, some are doing degree in Engineering and planning to become Engineers, and everyone of those girlies works hard and are trying their best at Life. And most those East Asian/Chinese background ladies I know do well in independently in their finances (since they make good enough money themselves) and most are not after dudes's money, since they don't really need to. Some of them are partnered up/married already to quality East Asian men who are also in Corporate in various industry. Others are still looking for similar level dudes. Looks can be very deceiving, though. I've been to both Hawaii and Korea and have seen both opposite ends of the spectrum.
Hell, I think men should do a background credit check on women. You don't want to inherit some unnecessary debt.
You also need to factor in that many women in Asian families are the bread winners. And most of the time because of this they tend to or are expected to contribute to the family income --- parents, siblings etc. Like you said its about being practical. At the very least the man should be financially equal if not more than the women. And at then end of the day it's about being financially secure.
I know one white guy who married a Korean woman who is extremely pretty. He is very fluent in Korean. However, they had a divorce. Can you talk about the divorce rate? I don't think marriage between white guy and Asian woman means anything unless they can stay married until the end.

I think it's a huge generalization to say only Asian women are like that. There're women who value materialism in every ethnicity or culture. And not all Asian women are the same. Based on my experiences, I feel that Japanese, Korean, Asian American and Asian Canadian women from the west coast, as well as Chinese women from 1st and 2nd tier cities in China tend to be the most expensive, whereas SE Asian women (particularly Burmese, Cambodian, and Laotian) and Chinese women from smaller towns and cities tend to be more down to earth and easier to date.
And nowadays it isn't only women who check the credits of their partners, men are starting to do that as well. Not sure about others but Chinese men are less and less willing to date Flower Vase Girls or Bonzai Girls (referring to women who look pretty but don't know anything and completely rely on their partner for financial support).

The Japanese women I dated didn't care about that stuff and never asked. We go 50/50 on our dates. Most of the time we eat at a fast food restaurant or go to a 90 minute all you can eat buffet that was like $30 USD.

I don't think having a career means one is financially successful. It's a long life ahead and if you get into a serious relationship with someone who can't carry their own weight then it's going to be a hard and stressful life.
Great, how about stop grouping all of us females together. Just because one is female does not mean she is the same as the next one. We are all individuals at the end of the day. Also positive attract positive, quality attract quality. If you cannot attract/get with quality mate, man or woman, maybe take a good look at yourself in the mirror and find out why you only encounter more materialistic, entitle attitude, low quality, not nice opposite gender. Maybe you yourself need to change and become better in your attitude, like stop acting all negative and salty first of all, since normal people can detect this upon first meeting, nobody is going to tell you this at work/professional setting, also your buddies likely are similar to you so they are not going to be aware of the negativity. Like one Asian dude (got promoted to Director level from Manager) previously I work with is not that fit, got jealous that I got myself a man/bf (hello my Asian/East Asian bf/partner is a actual gentleman and man of god and actually high quality dude) outside of work since I am hot and sexy in real life so guys at work are attractive to me always, but like hello I am here to work the job and not get involve in office romance okay. Like just because you are a Director or above or like well off (men or women) does not mean crap sh okay, yeah even if you got a great job/good financial situations but do you actually have good personality and is a overall positive kind person in real life that actually is datable and normal kind people can actually stand to be with you long term.
I've been called "white-washed" & "European" for doing Asian things so honestly I think it's about the American inferiority complex towards Europe. It honestly feels like all Americans, regardless of their ethnicity, feel Latino.

I've never really gone out of my way to seek Asian women, not because I dislike them just because I never really thought much about them. I was born around them and grew up around them. Americans often feel like they "own" Asia because they "owned" them in the Second Great War. As an Asian guy, my advice is ignore Asian women (the pretty ones especially). If they want you you will know. Don't chase em, they have ALOT of options becuz just bout any1 will go for them unless you're all that then go for it.
Asian men should purely focus on goals, stay ethical, but be selfish with energy, time, and money, and resources. Help other Asian men too

I’m a Mexican married to a Filipina. She comes from a humble background, but she’s hardworking and financially smart. I’m lucky to have her because she takes care of the money, and still expects me to pay etc. For those looking for an Asian woman, look beyond looks. Good luck.

Filipino woman here, I didn't look for a rich husband, I make my own money but I did look for someone with compatible financial goals. It's important that you want the same things long term.

Used to be like that but it's getting rarer nowadays. Asian women are getting smarter and won't be easily fooled by looks alone. Not sure about other Asian countries but less and less Chinese women are willing to give up everything just for a white man.
