I bought a g5 (was on sale) after watching your original video on them. I like it tho have only set it up once a few days ago. We like the screen and no black flies or musquitoes or noseeums. I see you cat wander thru. Nice to see. Just today we drove home an hr and brought our cat and more supplies. (we have 8 days left). The cat is on harness and 15ft leash as shes 20 yrs old and had never been camping. We dont trust her staying close nor the fact that where we are there are foxes and coyotes and bear warnings. Back to our g5. We havent picked up side screens yet tho at the cost here in canada we may just make our own. Maybe one panel split with a zipper for over the doorway. One improvement would be a chimney hole for a little wood burning stove. Hope I enjoy it as much as you have
Thanks for the video! I just ordered a Gazelle g5 but I think it was an older one. So I canceled that order and got the Alpine Green. I’m replacing my 5 year old 12x12 Clam tent that fell apart. I had a bear inside ripped out two screens and last week the wind blew out a ceiling panel. I’ve been glueing and taping that one till I said that’s it. Plus it was way to heavy for this old lady of 76. 😂 so thanks so much! ❤❤❤
I saw this one in the deluxe version when I was camping last week in Texas. It is really a nice gazebo and now I want one. The one I saw was green as well. It looks like a palace. The front door panel made it look super private and dry. We had 1 day of rain and it stayed dry.
We used our G6 to camp in when we’re were in Pickensville at the Rendezvous. Loved it! Bought the floor to put down and steak it together. Worked for us. Now when we get our trailer we will have a gazebo. Win! Win!
I like your reviews. So I bought a g5 this summer. We are out camping and are having our first rain. A lit sprinkle and Im getting a mist coming thru the roof. It is not watertight. I was going to spray with armorall water proofing spray but since youd said it was tight and was waterproof. So tomorrow once its dried I will tip in onto the doorside and give it a few coats of waterproofing. Not a big deal but if Id know it would let watrr thru I would have waterproofed it when I first set it up. Update next day we had a hail storm go thru the campgrounds we are in. The gazebo held up fine. Definetely need the wind panels to keep the rain out. After investigating our leaking roof the material does not leak however the seems on top do leak. Not a biggy just need a dry day so can spray on the waterproofing over the seams.
The only time we've had a hint of mist is In a fairly heavy rain without the side panels installed. We've never had any water come through the ceiling itself.
I just watched the video all the way through. Never heard us use the word "waterproof". What was said was,,,,,,,"the girls played cards in there for hours while it was raining, and never got wet". @@billanddebnever thought you were misleading. Since the seams are 'taped' I didnt expect them to leak. And yes after checking on the "mist" thats from drops hitting the screens. Still throughly enjoy your videos and am not sorry to have bought it. Passing muster in a hailstorm while others had their screen tents shredded is a big checkmark to me. Our hail was up to over a quarter size and was 2 to 3 inches deep.
I got one , it's a Cabella it has the the flaps attached the only thing I they need to make the the screen not so no see NM because it doesn't have much ofa breeze.

We use our small propane fire pit on low for those cold days.

Good thing about the tight screening is it makes it difficult for no-see-ums to get through
