Is there any way to have a fader flipped aux send on 1 fader while I still have all the other faders functioning normally?
Ie: I want to always have a hand on my lead vocal delay send but at the same time maybe I want to also have control of the lead vocal fader it self

Hey, can you apply compression to a VCA group?

      Is it possible?

I know it's late, but, for the curious:
No. For that, you would need to set it up as a subgroup, using at least one of the auxiliaries. (I think he flashed by this option in the previous video. Edit: ua-cam.com/video/6WDRAKWHbD4/v-deo.html)
A subgroup combines the audio from all members, applies its own gain to that now-single signal, and sends it on. Usually, it sends it to the masters, but it could also be routed through a compressor. Main point: the sound travels "through" the fader and can be processed. (This has implications related to signal path length, amplifier loading, and cross-talk that are only issues in analog consoles.)
A VCA, on the other hand, only controls the volume of each channel in the group. A simple way to think of it is as sending all channels directly to the mains and having a single fader act as a remote control for its members' faders. (I actually half expected the choir faders to move when he adjusted the choir VCA.) Main point: the "combined" sound is collectively controlled by the VCA fader, but does not exist as a separate signal.
I think that to get control of the subgroup on the faders like the VCAs you would have to set the subgroup level to unity (on an auxiliary knob) and then make it part of its own VCA.
