Man, not only is this battle awesome because of the music, the stage, and Hyperion being so goddamn huge and impressive, but also because it's pretty much a final space 'dog fight' against a 'trusted-ally-now-turned-nemesis' in an upgraded and ubber-pumped up version of your own ship. It all makes you feel in such a way that, when Hyperion himself finally shows up, the only thing you can really say is "BRING IT ON!!"
KingKrisp7, it's a really great game. One of my all-time favorites. If you own a PS1 or are familiar with emulators/illegal downloading I would highly recommend giving this game a chance.
I agree. They really need to find a way to port this on download for the psvita so that everyone that owns one can finally see the brillance that this game truly is!!!!! Even over 14 years later, it still stands the test of time!!!!!!

A funny thing, that EOS UFG Mk IX had two arms, you can see this in betrayal scene, when camera temporarily switches to EOS fighter POV. By the way, there was an error in this scene - EOS fighter was armed with two "Wasp" gunpods, but HUD was showing "V"(ulcan) gunpod with 3237 ammo in Arm 1 and a "Z"(?) gunpod with 0016 ammo in Arm 2.
i shouldve warned ya about that. but they are making zweihander for ps3 (i think for ps3) sometime in the future. einhander- one handed sword, zweihander- two handed sword. kinda makes sense

Einhander is one of my very favorite games of all time (mostly because of the soundtrack). I first played a demo of it over 10 years ago and have loved it ever since. However, my emulator will not work so I cannot play it =[
Great theme track for some hardcore hero crisis fight to the death :P Fitted nicely for a paced shooter like Einhander. But it could work just as well in an Ironman, X-men, Fantastic 4, or Superman movie :P

Despite it's great overall terrific greatplay the original Einhader is a cult classic. Anyone who knows what a cult classic is knows that they rarely sell well... Killer app? It would be cool don't get me wrong but todays gamers wouldn't have a single clue about the franchise. Mabe realeaseing it along side the original on the PSN would help.

It's extremely hard to compare the two games IMO. They play completely diffrent. Although they both have the basic 'Archtype' of a shooter.
