Student Uses Twitter to Tweet Phone Calls with Egyptians in Real-time

John Scott-Railton, an urban planning doctoral student at UCLA, took to Twitter in response to the shutdown of Egypt's internet. Setting up a network of contacts on the ground, Scott-Railton has begun tweeting phone calls with Egyptians in real-time. His goal is to paint a realistic picture that can capture what Egyptians are experiencing.
