    Truly one of my fav places in the world
    Lovely to see the lake again where I spent hours walking

      Lovely, it truly is a special place and thankfully a bit more quiet than other parts of the Lakes thanks to the limited spaces for parking and such! Glad you enjoyed

    I think grasmere is my favourite area in the lake district. Loved seeing the northern lights, too

      It's such an incredible spot - I went to Grasmere last time round and stayed in the Tipi at YHA Grasmere. It was certainly an interesting trying to start the fire on my own (I'm a bit useless in that regard 😄 I also see you've just became a members, welcome Shirley! It's lovely to have you ☺️

    Love all your videos, but this was one of the best. Great to have you just expressing your thoughts…a lot more personal. Do want you feel is most comfortable but keep on doing it.😊

      Thank you Bron. I’m glad you enjoyed it, it’s refreshing to make something far more relaxed, authentic and ‘less maintenance’. Way less pressure that way, thanks for the comment 😊

    I'm glad you didn't forget to click record. I think quite a few people would enjoy the ramble through autumn in part of the Lake District. The Northern Lights were beautiful - that could go at the end. Thanks.

      Thanks for that Frederick. Yes, it's nice sometimes just to listen, it helps when there's nice scenery to look at too. The Northern Lights were incredible, I can't quite believe the colours looking back. Take care

    People often talk about the stunning scenery of the Scottish highlands which is absolutely correct. But this type of scenery starts much further south ie in the north of England. The south has a gentle 'chocolate box beauty'. The north has a rugged, wild gorgeousness.
    Btw, I LOVE the part with you sitting quietly by the water 26:40

    • @BenRobson123
      @BenRobson123  3 місяці тому

      Absolutely, The Lake District is just something else for me, certainly the best in England anyway. Though not quite as rugged and severe as the terrain in Scotland, there's something so homely about the Lakes, perhaps just because it is familiar.
      Glad you enjoyed the video Bob. It was a special evening being able to enjoy Buttermere like that almost all to myself!

    Since my passport expired and I've been too lazy to rush to renew it, I've only been having breaks in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and my favourite places are the Lake District, Isle of wight, Norfolk and I've been to Northumberland loads of time to different places and love it. My dad was a Geordie so I have spent a lot of time in the North East, The beamish museum and Bamburgh castle are a good visit. Not saying i'll never go abroad again, but since just taking breaks in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I've really enjoyed seeing different parts of the country and it's been refreshing seeing places that I would have never previously thought to bother visiting as I used to enjoy just jetting off to Portugal 🇵🇹 😂. Really enjoyed your video 👍🏻😊.

      Glad you enjoyed the video. You're so right. There are many incredible places within the UK.
      It's nice to explore and treasure places closer to home, absolutely. God, it's been a while since I've visited Beamish though haha,
      Thanks for the comment, take care 😊

    I enjoyed this unexpected trip from you Ben. Originally from London but have lived in Glasgow for the past 30+ years i had never visited the Lake District until last year, visited Windermere, Ambleside & Grasmere so it was great to see Buttermere too, reminded me of Scotland, keep doing what you're doing, it is appreciated

    I personally enjoyed this spontaneous ramble. I started watching your channel after planning a Krakow trip. I have also been looking at a short UK getaway so it's great to see this video of the lakes. I find your videos relaxing and informative. They also give me ideas to visit places I would never think off. Thank you for doing what you do.

    Hi Ben, it sounds like the Lake District is know for it's fantastic trails and mountains that you can hike.
    I enjoyed this video of your walk along the stone trails and seeing some Sheep and Cows along your route. That one Black Cow at the end seemed to be trying to tell you something. That cow mooing was a good way to end your exploration and video.
    I feel your pain with creating videos and putting a lot of time and energy filming an editing and not having many views. For your Memberships, this is a hard time economically for many people, with the higher prices caused by inflation. Here in the United States there are a lot of people struggling economically.
    Your filming, narration and editing, are great, so hopefully you can find a way to slowly grow your channel.

    • @BenRobson123

      Thanks for the support as always Ben, it's very much appreciated. The Lake District truly is a special place, perhaps the mountains aren't quite as tall or rugged as in other places in Europe, but the scenery is often still like something out of a fairytale.
      Such a magical place and always a pleasure to return - there's something so homely about it. I think I'll return more over the winter when there's cheap places to stay!

    Autumn is the best time to visit such charming and beautiful places. But if you notice, my friend, that there is no one there, what is the reason? What time do you advise us to visit this place when it is crowded? Continue, my friend, you have a high positive spirit and amazing determination.

    • @BenRobson123
      @BenRobson123  3 місяці тому

      Thank you! It really depends, it was so quiet just because it was late in the evening around sunset. Early mornings can also be quiet but it depends on the area, what day it is, weather etc
