Really enjoyed all the video you made on your trips to the Koahusing, especially Zuoying area. It is my birth place and where i spend the first 8 years of my life growing up. Only live a few miles away from the Lotus pond. Still have many so many wonderful memories from my childhood of what i consider my true home. I have been living in Boston Massachusetts USA than, have gone back couple of times for vacation. My last trip back there was almost 15 years ago and i miss it so much, i can see how much the area has changed since my last visit. I have always planed and want to spent my retirement and the rest of my life back at the place of my birth. I have spend almost 43 years living in the USA since i left as a child, and have also traveled to many other countries and see so much other places. But, now where in this world is like Zuoying, Koahusing. Was going to wait til my retirement and move back there, but watching your video has making me want to go back there asap. Just miss it so much, even cried when i was thinking of all the memories which i have during my times growing up. Thanks to your video which have inspired me to plan a trip to go back to visit as soon as this craziness is going on around the world. Thank You so much for bring back all that fond memories through your video.
Hi Paul, It is nice to read you feel so strongly about Kaohsiung and Zuoying. We hope you get to visit soon. Just remember, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Lots of love ❤❤😘
In almost same boat as you Paul, born and raised in Xinwu Taoyuan for most of my childhood, spent last 37 years living here around Boston MA. My 14yo and I have been visiting Taiwan every 2 years since she's 2yo, I wanted her to build some memories with all her cousins and also not forgetting where her other half is from (she's Italian/taiwanese). My retirement is still has a little ways to go, but my eventual goal is maybe spend 6 months in Taiwan and 6 months here (pending where my daughter settled to have a family) when I retired.
I have been living in New Jersey for the past 32 years. I was born and raised in Hsinchu City and left for the US in my mid twenties, and retired about two years ago. I used to travel back to Taiwan every two years, but stopped since my mother fell ill in 2015. I hope I can eventually travel back and forth between NJ and Taiwan and stay at each place for six months for the better weather and foods. Although Hsinchu City is not so famous for tourism but the the high tech industries, you guys may want to try the neighboring Hsinchu and Miaoli Counties for in depth mountain hiking to see waterfalls, hot springs, and giant red wood trees and experiencing Hakka as well as aboriginal cultures and foods....places like Neiwan, Qalang Smangus in JienShi, Wufong, Beipu, Nanzhuang, and Tai’an are worth a visit....
Among all the UA-camr’s clips, your Chinese translator does the best job. The Caption is well done and the sentences are articulately done. If it’s not in simplified Chinese characters, that’ll be even better.
Really enjoy watching all of your videos. I just saw it from UA-cam pop-up randomly last month and became your fan immediately. I have already seen all of your videos which spent over 6 hours. I will keep enjoying your new coming videos. Hope you guys well in every way and gather more and more fans like me.
I'm glad that you are not leaving Taiwan yet. Maybe after I arrive, I could meet up with you somewhere to explore something new! I arrive 27th of July and then I will do my 14 day quarantine! I look forward to seeing where you go next! :)
Congratulations Naick and Kim on 30k subscribers! Sad to see you leave Kaohsiung but I look forward to seeing your next location. I know that things are not great in Belgium with the virus so I hope that both your families and friends stay safe - as well as both of you, of course!
So what you have just 30 thousands of subscribers? You will grow because you two really look good together and the way you engage us is very simple but very nice Remember 30 thousands or 3 millions, what matters is there are people out there who like you Look at me,even in this lockdown I have to go to work because my duty comes under essential services, since I go out,my family has kicked me out of the house I am lonely, scared because of the virus, and you know what makes me look forward to the next day?People like you two,who have become my eyes to those places which I probably would never be able to visit So all the best for next adventure Godspeed
Hi Sumeet, thanks for your kind words 🙏🏻 nice to hear our videos give you some comfort, so sorry to hear about your situation 😔 it must be a difficult time for you. Things will get better again, please just hold on 👊🏻
Go go go, there are still many good places you should see in Taiwan. Big cities, small towns,islands,mountains..., make more videos for us. We're looking forward.
If you can find 1000 solid viewers that will always come back and watch your content, then you've got yourself a solid footing. People's tastes will come and go and UA-cam content creators will always face the seasonal droughts of change. However, your ride-or-die fans/viewers that stick with you no matter what is ultimately what will help or break the channel. Just remember, chase the content, chase the footage. Don't chase the views. :)
Beef noodles 😋😋😋 I remember first time I arrived in Taipei, we eat beef noodles on main station. So delicious. Stay safe and have a great trip to the next city 👍🙏
You had maken your good choice to this beef noodle restaurant. Whenever I travel to Kaosion from Taipei, I visit it too. Wish you enjoy your trip to the east, my favorite part in Taiwan.
Hello, welcome to Taiwan, the eastern part of Taiwan, Taitung and Hualien have the most beautiful natural landscapes in Taiwan, beautiful coasts and the Huadong Rift Valley, the magnificent canyon, I strongly recommend you to go!
I just watched to see whats Naick's hair is up too😂. You guys are doing great & I am sure you will reach 50k soon. I like your casual & easy natural approach in your videos. Keep it real guys! 👍🏼
Looking at the beef noodle soup and braised pork rice just makes me hungry! Haha! I really enjoy your videos! Have fun in Taiwan and keep the videos coming! If it gets too hot, escaping to the mountains or going to the seaside should bring some relief. The good thing about Taiwan is that whatever city you stay, there is always a mountain scenic spot or two nearby within a day trip or an overnight trip away and a beach is also close by!
So glad you guys love KS and enjoy the sunset. If you decide to go to southern , you may go to east part of Taiwan by train after Kenting. East coast is the most natural and clean environment here. It's worth to spent one month to enjoy the national spots and cultural of aborigines in Taiwan.
Elegant Mandarin translation ! I cannot wait to see lovely videos while receiving UA-cam messages, and usually see once again another day for those appropriate translation.
Thank you guys for sharing the best views of my hometown, Kaohsiung. I hope you guys will enjoy your journey in Taiwan. No matter which city or place you’re gonna to visit next, you will be definitely surprised how unique, beautiful, and cultural it is. Once again, thanks for sharing Taiwan to the whole world!
The Canadian UA-camr who live in Kaohsiung now is Wes Davis. He is now got 84 k subscribers. Congradulations on the 30 k subscribes. The bigger the number, the better you get paid by UA-cam, right? Go, go, go. you guys!
Ah Wes, we have heard about him ;) He is a very talented UA-camr. Subscribers don't matter that much directly, our income depends on the number of views (about 1usd per 1000 views is a rough estimate).
Enjoy watching your videos. Wishing you a wonderful time in Taiwan. Maybe you could go to eastern part of Taiwan, enjoy some hot spring. Eastern Taiwan is much more relaxing and slow pacing. Tainan county is a historical city, if you like to explore Taiwan history, that is the place worth to pay a visit. Take care and have safe trip~
@@NaickKim Do take the umbrella or raincoat with you. Now is the rainy season, the weather changes very quickly. Do not forget to have a taste of beef soup or coffin board(toast container with seafood fillings ), very traditional iconic dishes of Tainan.
You two should have one dark seasoned soup and one clear soup beef noodle instead of two same dishes. In the past two days when I found your channel, I said WOW because you have Chinese subtitles. Now I know it should be help by someone because I see no subtitle after you upload the video within 10 minutes. Anyway, welcome to Taiwan and enjoy you vacations here!
Thanks for watching. We really like strong flavours, so we both take the dark one ;) We have hired two people to do the translations indeed. Usually they take about 24h.
I am so happy for watching your video that now I go to other place for work and watch your video to know how is going on about my country. And miss my country also. Hope that you have a great trip in Taiwan. Secretly tell you, I also practice English listening with your video.😅 I look forward to your more works!
Congratulations on 30k subscribers you totally deserves it 🎉🎉🎉 Sad to see you leave Kaohsiung but I am sure wherever you go Taiwan will continuously to surprise you !! Please do visit the islands around the Taiwan mainland if time and $$ is allowed~ you will love it!! Look forward for your next video~ stay safe!
I recommend you could stay kaoshiung a little bit more, cause it's now a rainy season for almost a week. After it you may move south to Keanting as least for one week . Kenting has lots of place to explore and you 'll be loveing it . Then you may move to eastcoast of Taiwan such as Tingtung and Hualien then noth to Yilan. The scenery of eastcost is so spectacular that make you feel in the heaven. Taking a trip counterclockwise of Taiwan would be more smooth. Wish you have a great trip.
Tainan is another interesting city which locates above Kaohsiung. If you get time, it's worth to spend 3 days to 1 week in Tainan for cultural visits and many kinds of food. Kenting is the other favorite city by foreigners, locates beneath Kaohsiung. There are many outdoor activities about sea, or mountain. If you plan to spend more time in Taiwan, these two places are suggested because of the short distance. It's nice to watch your videos, about the ways you explore cities and the ways you commend foods. You two look smart and happy for your life. Hope you are in your well-being now and next trips.
@@NaickKim It rains heavily these days in south of Taiwan. Please notice the weather forecast before you go outside. Take care of yourself in the tour. Looking forward to your new videos.^_^
Many international media have reported Taiwan's excellent performance. 👍 At this moment , it is very safe to stay in Taiwan. People live normally as usual. 😆
We have really enjoyed your videos! We currently live near Hanoi Vietnam and we spent both the international and Chinese New year in Taipei. We fell in love with the people and the food and it was our intention to relocate there. However, having watched your videos we are seriously considering Kaoshiung!! if we can find work there we will certainly relocate when the country opens back up! Thanks for sharing enjoy the content and we are slightly envious of your drone. We've not made that vlogging investment just yet. But, maybe we will once we get to Taiwan! I'm curious where you're headed next and looking forward to seeing where you go on your adventure! Also, Vietnam had controlled the virus quite well. So, maybe your can hop over here when the borders open. If you think you might come this way let us know and we'll answer any questions you pose. 😁
The "three -ox" beef noodle is famous of its C/P value as well as its local flavor . Happy and relax ! Kaohsiung will welcome you again! Taichung is another big city in central Taiwan and welcome your coming!
Welcome to stay Taichung city in the middle of Taiwan...good to see the most famous sun moon lake and visit the only highway be opened again after closing 21 years! You can go and see the Taruka National Park (absolutely it’s worth you go )
It's nice to hear ypur commentaries. I have been following from your trip to taiwan. This is a wonderful country I always like to go. Maybe you want to go north to Jiu Feng. It's nice over there. 😊
For sure you guys are carrying fond memories of Kaohsiung, now when we visit Taiwan, Kaohsiung is out of my list. I have already seen thru your lens. Thanks.
Y’all got to try Apple Sidra! It’s Taiwan’s most favorite sparkling apple cider! Also look out for “18 Days” Taiwan Beer! But Taiwan Beer is very wheaty and great. Love it.
I am so happy that you are travelling in my home country while I currently stuck in Luxembourg! I hope you like Taiwan and please enjoy my lovely country as much as you can. There are so much to see and try.
Nice to see you here in the comment section ;) Love your tips videos on Taiwan! They have been so helpful and very entertaining. We didn't end up going to the "Old Taiwan" restaurant though. But we followed a bunch of your tips. You are Dutch, right?
I happened to see your quarantine video and began following every single video since then. Thank you for sharing the beauty of southern Taiwan through the camera. Honestly, you both have greater shots and detailed explanations in each place than local professionals. Glad to know you enjoyed life in Taiwan so far. Where are you heading to in your next journey in Taiwan? I live in Tainan, an hour drive from Kaohsiung. Feel free to ask if you need local travel tips in town. BTW, raining season is coming, stay safe. Look forward to your next videos.
@Naick & Kim wow! Welcome to Tainan! Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan with lots of historic sites. Chihkan Tower, Confucius Temple, Anping Fort, Eternal Golden Castle are the top 3 tourist spots to visit. And Tainan has the most street foods in Taiwan. Don’t miss Danzai noodles(擔仔麵), bowl rice cake(碗粿), Squid rice noodles(小卷米粉), shrimp roll(蝦卷), blanching beef soup(清燙牛肉)etc.. too many choices. Enjoy!
Huge congrats on 30k!!!! That's a major accomplishment. 加油!
Maybe you can meet them when they back to Kaohsiung next time.

Naick & Kim 離開高雄後可以去東部的花蓮或台東住一段時間,那裡也很棒喔!

@@NaickKim Tainan is a heaven to enjoy food though it's raining.Buy some snacks home lest you will miss.
We are in Tainan at the moment. After this we go to Kenting ;)
We are very happy to be in Taiwan here.
@@NaickKim It rains heavily these days in south of Taiwan. Please notice the weather forecast before you go outside. Take care of yourself in the tour. Looking forward to your new videos.^_^
you can go to penghu which is a island ,not too far from south Taiwan. it's also pretty safe in Taipei city now. Welcome you come visited.
Casual dining places in Taiwan are often the best.
❤❤
Many international media have reported Taiwan's excellent performance. 👍
At this moment , it is very safe to stay in Taiwan. People live normally as usual. 😆
❤❤
希望你們在台灣可以玩得愉快哦
非常感謝,很高興來到這裡。

Taichung is definitely on the list. First we head slightly more North and then South ;)
😘
I just like your leisurely videos, it's really great, and I hope you can enjoy everything here.
Congratulations. Taiwan people really love you. Very glad for that you feel Kaohsiung home 😄

Congratulations guys, waiting your celebration of 50k,100k,150k.....and also waiting your next video in Taiwan somewhere.
It's nice to hear ypur commentaries. I have been following from your trip to taiwan. This is a wonderful country I always like to go. Maybe you want to go north to Jiu Feng. It's nice over there. 😊

An interesting couple.
Like the way you interact with each other.
Thanks a lot ;)
For sure you guys are carrying fond memories of Kaohsiung, now when we visit Taiwan, Kaohsiung is out of my list. I have already seen thru your lens. Thanks.
Nice video make me relaxing.....
Nice to hear. Enjoyyy 😘
The beef noodles and beef rice you had was so delicious!! Especially in the night~
Straight saliva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to make you hungry :D
The meat on top of rice is pork, not beef.
Y’all got to try Apple Sidra! It’s Taiwan’s most favorite sparkling apple cider!
Also look out for “18 Days” Taiwan Beer! But Taiwan Beer is very wheaty and great. Love it.
One thing you people can be proud about having more viewers than subscribers.
Your videos are sooo relaxing, really love it!
You can consider to go to Kenting, it takes around 2-3 hrs from Kaohsiung, many foreigners 💓 there.
It will be one of our next stops indeed. But first a small detour north of Kaohsiung ;)
Missing you and my hometown. Enjoy you next awesome journey in Taiwan.
We are happy to be here ❤😘
Have a nice day~
Thank you! we hope you have a nice day too 😘
牛肉麵這樣吃我第一次見到但是合口味最重要 有最簡單吃法就是加辣酸菜就能讓口味更有層次希望你在高雄玩的開心歡迎下次再次來高雄玩
Please must see Taroko gorge and east coastline before leaving Taiwan. That’s really world class scenery spot.
We will, thanks ;)
Taiwan is the best.. best to be there than anywhere else in the world
❤❤
I really like Taiwan beef noodle. There are so many good ones. I did a collection trip for that to Taiwan many years ago.
❤❤
Really Enjoy your video
Aww thank you! ❤😘
Taiwanese food is the best in the world, there's a reason y people call Taiwan 🇹🇼 food paradise & no other country.
I am so happy that you are travelling in my home country while I currently stuck in Luxembourg! I hope you like Taiwan and please enjoy my lovely country as much as you can. There are so much to see and try.
Sorry to hear you are stuck in Luxembourg. In the meanwhile, enjoy some Rieslingspaschtéit. 😘
Naick & Kim haha, I’ve lived here for almost 5 years and for sure had enough Riesling! 😏
Did you guys visit the "Old Taiwan" restaurant for the retro authentic dishes? it is located east of downtown Kaohsiung and 100% worth it
Nice to see you here in the comment section ;)
Love your tips videos on Taiwan!
Xie Xie. Many more adventures to come ;)
We are in Tainan right now for a couple of days.
Enjoy!
