. In this video I show you how I create this big messy bun with my super short thin fine hair. Do not skip the dry shampoo part, it is very important to give a lot of texture to your hair. Batiste shampoo works 100% for me, but I do know some ppl who don't like it like I do, so make sure to try different types of shampoos and find the one that works for you.

You need to remember one thing, we ourselves set limits in our life and we are the ones who cage ourselves in those limits and paralyze ourselves. My hair is somewhat thick and curly. It is short, but you really helped me style it. My uncles ex ruined my hair by stripping it blonde, I was originally a brown. Worst mistake of my life. I am gonna let my hair grow out beautiful and curly

I have a trick for the fallout in the back. It needs a bit of practice but it works great.
Firstly, don't make one bunch with all the fallout or it will all be gathered in the middle and look too obvious. Make two or three sections of fallout hair, even if it means each section has only like six hairs in it.
Now, for each section, pull the section through a bobby pin until all the hair is in the loop of the bobby pin, as close to the end of the section as you can without any hair falling out. It is best to pull the hair upward while doing this if you want it to be really smooth and not baggy. Now, start pinning that section to your head, with the bobby pin horizontal, but use the fingers of the hand that is not holding the bobby pin to guide the end of the bobby pin under the hair, to hide it. Push the bobby pin in all the way, while following with your other hand's fingers to make sure it doesn't poke out again. Then lightly brush a bit of hair back over the loop of the bobby pin to completely hide it. Now spray a bit of hairspray on it and you are done. Obviously, this works best with the shortest bobby pins you can find.
Also, in case you didn't know because lots of people don't, it is the wavy side of the bobby pin that goes against your scalp, not the straight one. One reason is that the end of it that pokes out will not poke out but instead dig into your scalp. It also holds your hair in place better this way. In case you have really, really thin hair, you can flatten the loop of your bobby pin using pliers, so that it is tighter and holds onto thin hair better.

Your hair appears to be very fine straw like. Coloring hair can make hair dry and straw like.

Haha! I have thin hair, and if I back comb or tease AND spray with iron-hold liquid brick hair spray, and 20 minutes later, the back combing is evaporated! Great video, great tips!

Don’t use dry shampoo too often. I quit using it altogether because it was making my hair fall out. It dries your scalp out and causes damage to the follicles and then next thing you know lots of hair fall. Just be mindful of your scalp health if you are using dry shampoo on the weekly.

I had the great idea to go from black to platinum blonde in 7 months and put extensions in. Well.... 6 months later I decided it was to harsh and went back black and just took out all my hair extensions today and it RUINED my already thin hair. Felt like a big toe before I watched this.

You do have to be very smart about hair and such decisions. I know how hard sometimes it is to resist that urge to make changes to hair. But always do your best to put integrity of your hair first. I would stay platinum blonde if I could, but I knew my hair needed this big long break and I’m giving it that break. I hope your hair grows back very soon, take care of it and yourself and don’t rush it. It needs time but it will get better and you’ll be so grateful you waited.
