- HAPPY 10TH RUST ANNIVERSARY! Let's talk Rust bases. Be them solo, duo or HUGE ones for clans, they ALL contain both squares and triangles. What if you can ONLY make a base with squares OR triangles though? Today I have two teams with 5000 hours in Rust building two amazing bases and then I'll send in my 25,000 hour raiding team to test them. Enjoy!
What is Rust? Rust is an INTENSE PVP multiplayer survival game that I've played for THOUSANDS of hours. I've gone on MASSIVE Solo adventures, clan wipes, HUGE raids and just about every experience under the Sun. It's a game that can have the most intense nail biting moments, or you can spend hours doing nothing interesting, The way the cookie crumbles can never be predicted and of course I save the absolute best bits for you guys. you should try something like "Low hour builder vs high hour builder, but they swap bases" so that the low hour player defends on the high hour base, and viceversa...

entertaining vid, sad the triangle team complained more then actually defended
I wanted to cut a lot more of it out, I think because I stopped them raiding the raiders starter base it soured the mood for the rest of the raid, but I know some people come on because they want to win and aren't happy when they aren't. It's the same with most of us when we lose our base or fail a raid I'm sure :)

On the external tc on the square base has a triangle on it but don't think it matters either way great video
I think squares as people already build 4x4s and 5x5s which are very strong, the challenge would be creating the wide gap style peeks without triangle build up.
Really enjoyed participating, and the ffa at the end was a hell of a lot of fun

square base looked like an old school clan base
not your usual meta base but just a tanky funky base we need more like that in real servers
You should consider getting the kit plugin, and preloading their raid loot, pvp loot, and build loot via kits so they can quickly load their bases and not cheat

Great video, sometimes defender or attackers just have off days, then there are days when both are on. Now if the all square base had placed one or two rows of barricades going up the slanted wall it would have eaten some of the attackers munitions and slowed them down a little, remember in a timed event you should be fighting a delaying action. Now a question can barricades be placed under water? To all three teams great jobs. Again Great video Sir, well done.

I love this verses series. The one video I would love to see would be farming battle between TeaGuyTom vs Conrad the Weed farmer, a battle to see who is the best wholesome farmer.

Sick Video! If theres any feedback i would give, if i may, looking from my perspective and knowing myself as a competitor having only 1 hr to build a defendable base, i wouldnt want anyone talkign to me and asking me questions during the build time. It would be a bit distracting and causing a bit of stress. Next time you could just ask the questions after the builders are done or make B roll of them building or a POV shot of them building and talking to their teammate instead of you asking questions during them building. Also, i felt as if the raiders had more of an advantage with gear and weapons. from what i saw, the defenders were using mp5s and maybe a few AKs but idk, maybe they did and they just didnt use all of the loot they had to their disposal. Sick Idea for a video, I enjoyed watching it! Keep going! Cheers!

Have you thought about letting teams compete in the same style, but with different core foundation layouts?
A bit more time to build and maybe some presets for the materials and kits available during the raid phase.
Exmaple for 2 defenders:
8x beds
8x bags
8x lockers ( with full kits )
8x small boxes with a mix of cloth/meds/food/rl+3hv/f1
8x small boxes with patch materials
8x small boxes with hazzies/mp kits
they get to choose their foundation layouts in different videos. this one was just primarily square vs. triangle. Even though it is like this, all the people he invites aren't actually good builders and use youtube bases for the videos. At this point in time this channel is just stress testing youtuber's bases.

like for the square block base, are they not allowed to fill in the insides of honeycomb with stone barricades? it could be a cheese when properly utilized, like the large furnaces

I think the square base builders are cheated.. i mean when you first checked the "finished" base at 13:25 in that inner corridor you didnt saw any shotgun traps.. and he asks at 15:44 he is allowed to place shotgun traps but when you next time go to their base there are some at 17:40 .. :/

big fan of these. idea though, how about to have 8 noobs like 200 hours or less raiding against a solo medium/high hours but having the noob raiders coached by a pro raider who cant physically do anything besides be there on comms

i think if its there design sure 1 hour to build but when its a new build with only triangles like lol no one does that really or uses that for a main base idea so i think they should of been afforded a 30min add.... also they didn't have a good base location according to having no doors or been in water but when they tried to counter there base its not allowed i think they should have to build a fob and transfer loot that's also something that is part of raiding so if they get killed while transferring or lose loot in there base its the same.
best strategy with unlimited stone is a maze of compounds with a bunch of small 1x1’s everywhere

Does no one notice that the square base literally used triangles? You can see at 19:48 for example. It's at the connection from the outer TC

Yeah the moment you made no triangles and squares together made it super unuseful, cause we all build triangles with some squares and some squares with triangles, you should of made it a triangles starter vs a square starter to be more true to real build

Nothing is banned, I give defenders minimum 30 minutes to organose tgeir bases witg equipment and take away what I deem excessive

Just finished watching and seemed kinda janky that the square base was penalised for a single triangle foundation but the triangle base had at minimum 12 square roof tiles?
