PEAK Atiwit You will not find sellers on the streets but you can buy at the various famous bonsai gardens there. You can also vist the Ueno Green Center ,the Angyo Bonsai center and many nurseries and gardens in Saitama. There are also different shops in Tokyo. There are many bonsai gardens in other prefectures of Japan. If you come to Japan you can buy bonsai everytime of the year (except maybe for some national holidays).
@@RomeTokyooneway Oh I get it. And is the Ueno Green Center closes to Ameyoko Market? because I frequently visit Ameyoko Market when I’m at Japan. By the way thank you so much.
Wow the bonsais are pretty! The only plant I can keep alive is my cactus, which don't need any of my care 😂 New to your channel here, looking forward to more of your videos!
Cara Claudia, I have noticed that you or your husband like Acer palmatum shishigashira (maple) but I can't find much information or see much about that variety, could you point out a good web site or make comments about care, etc? I follow all your bonsai videos, Thank you for sharing and happy Christmas.
Paolo Mh I am surprised that you noticed that we like shishigashira momiji!! There are some nice videos on how to take care and grow this plant on this channel on YT: 盆栽ch (some examples: ua-cam.com/video/WwWS_kgxluM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jIls_RdcotA/v-deo.html ) The videos are in Japanese but very interesting to watch. Hope they could help you. If there is something in specific that you wish me to translate for you feel free to ask. Shishigashira maple= 獅子頭 もみじ Sorry I have no English sites to suggest. Thank you for your kind comment and Seasonal Greetings to you too, Claudia
@@RomeTokyooneway Yes one has to look for it and care to notice. Paolo Mh It says to prune when new shoots come out in spring; doing so it will only become thicker, and will not grow any further. Do the other pruning whenever you want, maples can be pruned at any time. It is the short version of the Google translation I used to see if it made sense. If the Google translation fails you can always ask me. Hope it helps. Happy holidays to you too! Thank you, Claudia
@@RomeTokyooneway Hi, of course I used translate but doesn't make much sense: pruning in spring will only become thicker and will not grow any further ... Anyway, Thank you.
@@paolomh113 You have to prune the new buds, sprouts (I do not know the right word in ENglish , sorry) in spring. Doing so the branch will not grow further and it will only get thicker by time. Pruning the branches, etc. can be done whenever you want (maples are not like other plants which have an exact period when to prune). Sorry I am used to broken English so the it made sense to me. Is it better now?
