How is it different from thousands of AI Chatbots out there having exact same features?
Yes, there are a lot of these more simple ChatGPT wrappers out there (SiteGPT, Chatbase, Fini, Wonderchat, Userdesk, and plenty more...)
What we're aiming at with Aidbase is taking it a step further and offer a more comprehensive AI support ecosystem, including chatbot, ticketing, emails, announcements, and much more. And so far, Aidbase is the most developer-friendly option on the market (by far).

What did you build this SaaS on?
Great video and congrats to the app launch! How is this different from Intercom’s AI chatbot? There seems to be a big overlap. The ticketing system seems to be the biggest difference. Congrats again, excellent content and the new app’s UI is beautiful!

Bringing your own api key and using the product for free is a ballsy decision not many can take. So proud of your product. As a web developer, using web components is best for a live chat menu.

Yes, that's spot on! We really try to make the most developer-friendly, most versatile solution currently available. Not just another simple ChatGPT-wrapper.
We did not go the traditional route of pre-launching and pre-validating this one.
Initially, this was an internal tool to solve a very urgent problem with customer support - we chose to build it into a SaaS after we'd built quite a bit of the product.

It took 3 months to build (we built it for ourselves internally first).
I did most of this initial part myself since my team was occupied on our current products. But I have developers helping me out with development now.

Hey, how do you send that chatbot component as api response in nextjs? Can you please share that.
What's the tech stack you used for this?
Great concept for the launch. But I have a question... I've seen services all over the place that have AI chat bots where you can easily bypass built-in prompts, and you're essentially giving the public free access to paid level ChatGPT by using your (or the host service's) API account. How do you prevent this?
The answer is complex, but we actually went very far in order to prevent this. You can try going to aidbase.ai and see if you can get the chatbot there to generate code, create content, give you recipes, write poems, etc. In 99% of cases, it will refuse - even if you try to "trick" it 😊

I asked the chatbot on the landing page a very simple question but with a very small typo. I asked what's your "pricng" and it couldn't figure it out. How do you plan to fix typos?

Would you mind sharing how the social media sharing discount is implemented? Is it atually checking the share? I did share using my twitter account not connected to the google account I used to signup for the aidbase. How it possibly can track the share? Is it based on trust, with some time delay, rather than on real check? Anyway this would be very clever idea.

Hey simon could you potentially do a video showing the calculation use to justify getting users from paid ads? For example 1000 in paid ads will bring me 10,000 people to my website and i can expect a conversation rate of 5 percent making me x.
I build one customer service chatbot SaaS for the website using OpenAI assistants API.
Congrats on the launch, this is a very hot niche right now in the AI space.
Two things.
1. Any LTD plans like feedhive had?
2. What's the thought process behind the pricing? I feel like Free -> 99$/month is a very steep upgrade for many users. Would have loved a 29-49 usd plan for like 1-2 chatbots, more messages and features.

2. I wouldn't say $99/month is a high price to pay to solve such a crucial problem that customer support can be. But you may be right about having a small tier go in the middle. It's definitely something we'll consider.

Hey, I was going through the AidBase docs and I see that it can only be integrated via HTML & React, is AidBase available for mobile app development (like flutter specfically)?
Not directly (yet).
Though we do have an API, so you can still integrate it into Flutter and simply build the UI yourself.

It's a bit hard to say, cause we developed this as an internal tool first. And that didn't take more than a few weeks to have the basics in place.
We've then enhanced it on/off for a few months and then recently decided to turn it into a full SaaS.
All in all, we've been working on it for about 3 months.

Aidbase was developed by my team and myself (so coding and a team of developers).
We did use No Code for a lot of things though, including our website (Webflow) and certain back end operations (Zapier/Make).
