I got a 3 year old who loves to hear bed time stories about Link and his adventures. I usually use “A Link To The Past” as base to those stories. Today, we heard this music as I was telling him another of Link tales. His face was brimming with emotion, as your soundscape accompanied one of the best moment in the day that I have with my child.
Thank you, for giving this music to my kid and I.
8/5/20 Update: he is now five years old and I revealed to him that all the bedtime stories were based on a legendary game that I played long ago. Yesterday, we assembled my snes and he began his own adventure in the land of Hyrule.
12/7/21 update: A Link to the Past is finished! Now he is doing Link’s Awakening and Breath of the Wild on his own. Holy shit guys!! Thanks for the likes.
25/05/23 update: my boy is now a 8 year old full fledge Zelda lover that is building his own machines in TOTK. Strangely enough he also developed a love for Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. His little brother is more into Metroid.

+ike6252 A Zelda movie would be awesome as long as they just made a new story set in the games' universe, or covered an event that hasn't been seen in any games. Say...the Imprisoning War? This track would be perfect for that.

    • @johntumahab323
      @johntumahab323 7 років тому +8

Sadly...I don't think Zelda can ever be a movie. It's not like wandering around dungeons solving puzzles and killing monsters makes for a good plot. Link doesn't even speak in any of the entries, so there's no opportunity for dialogue. The best I could see one of these working out as is a "Samurai Jack"-esque type animated series with emphasis on action over plot and dialog.

Why hasn't LoZ made a movie with this yet??? This is far better than most INDUSTRY scores I've heard. I could really see this being the music in a movie when Link first enters dark world, and definitely the final fight scene with Ganon. WOW. You have made a masterpiece. and I really hope Nintendo gives you the opportunity to feature this in maybe a film, or maybe even a 3D, HD remake of Link to the Past. That would be jaw dropping in the game or movie, for the camera to pan around the dark world land and this song, so full of foreshadowing of danger and mystery in the background.... And then for the final fight with Ganon... this has so much potential. Especially among hardcore LoZ fans such as myself. I would pay hard to be able to see a movie with Link in it. I just hope they don't fuck it up like Blizzard did with the movie adaptation of Warcraft.
We don't talk about Warcraft.... if anything they could have used the soundtrack from W3 and it would have saved some nostalgia points... they didn't even do that....

I have something called synesthesia, where sounds, music, any sort of auditory input can cause visual artifacts. It's made me love music more than most people could possibly imagine. But when I played this for the first time with my speaker setup, subwoofer going strong and listened, I was stuck motionless in my chair practically drooling from the complete and total sensory overload - this took my personal favorite Legend of Zelda song and enriched it, made it fuller, deeper, bolder, made it COMPLEX to such a fine degree that I was picking up on all of it and it completely blew my mind. I could practically see the work put into arranging this before my very eyes from the flashes of lights, colors, patterns and indescribable things dancing due to the synesthesia.
You my friend, gave me an acid trip without having to do drugs and I loved it!

Either way sam may be self taught but even my dad was impressed by how authentic it sounds, couldn't tell it was digital music at first. Very dynamic in sound and lots of crescendo/decrescendo and he's a hardcore classical music fan.

This really awesome. Brings back so many cool memories of traversing the dark world in a Link to the Past. I miss those days.

Listening to this there should be a Dark Link game, not as villain
    but an antihero...

Oh man I really hope the new Breath of the Wild 2 game has an epic full orchestrated soundtrack like this. I loved the first BoTW post apocalyptic music, with that sad peacefulness it had. But with part 2, in what looked like Hyrule Castle rising from the ground at the end of the trailer. I hope it means other parts of the map would rise, like dungeons, caves, forming new waterfalls. Great rendition @SamoStudios

You didn't fall into the trap of having the synthetic choir overtake the rest of the samplings, you deserve a like just for that. I've heard people get that wrong so many times before, so it's refreshing to hear it done right.

The way the silhouette zooms out like Avengers: Endgame…. Or should I say since this was released 5 before Endgame, the Avengers zoom out like “Dark” Link?

2:00 - I can just imagine Gannon and His minions amassing for a huge invasion and the palace themes!!! WOW!!!! With a Hood Director or Directors - the right cast for the characters (make it a racially diverse cast) And all the Cannon that exists - this could be an Epic Series Harry Potter/ Star Wars !!!

Close your eyes and image this music is the opening credits to link to the past movie, with a knight on horse back riding through different parts of Hyrule at fall speed then ending at Hyrule Castle to send a message to the King….
