    You need to emphasize the camera rolling issue - and how to find known good cameras, like Caddx rattel 2 which is going to work with it.
    Usually they do a almost white version of these as well, I have the V1 cobra X in white for the exact reason you mentioned - heat in summer. The power management is what the V1 should have been, at least its fixed on V2! A good 18650 3000mah Panasonic cell only goes for about 20min on V1 so seeing it go to 1hr for V2 is great. Just want to emphasize that this is a really nice unit if you wear glasses or want a set you can pass to anyone standing by to have a look at what FPV is all about. That DVR looks so good btw.

    So i have an issue with the DVR being way darker compared to what i see in my glasses when i'm flying do you have any idea what does that? I've tried googling it etc, but not been able to find anything on it.

    Thanks for the detailed take down and re-build...a google saver. I like my upgraded Cobra V1 to V2. My only challenge is getting it to be comfortable and in focus. I put DJI foam on it, but it is a bit thick and I wear reading glasses. works well. I will eventually make replaceable lens where to stock lens fits. Skyzone, you could make us a handy lens set.

    Is there anyway to retrieve a copy of the firmware files that the goggles are running? I "upgraded" my Skyzone Cobra X V2 to the "newest" version of DVR firmware from Skyzone's website, but it took me from 2.00.00.10 down to 2.00.00.09. If it is retrievable, I would very much appreciate a copy of the the 2.00.00.10 firmware 😬

    I bought a Top RC Spotter V2 FPV camera/transmitter with a cloverleaf antenna. Should I be using the LH or RH CP Axiii antennas to replace the ones that came with the Skyzone Cobra V2 fpv box goggles? I am new to the hobby and know very little yet.

    • @TweetFPV
      @TweetFPV  2 роки тому

      It's going to depend on which antenna is on your transmitter. Most of the time the tx if it isn't linear it's going to rhcp. You can usually tell from the product documentation. If they don't list it you can look at the antenna lobes from the top down and if it appears to make a upper case "R" shape then it's rhcp.

    • @law4nyc
      @law4nyc 2 роки тому

      @@TweetFPV Wow, that was fast, thanks. The documentation that came with the camera/transmitter does not specify and actually states the product might come with a whip or cloverleaf antenna. Mine came with a 4 lobe cloverleaf. looking down on the antenna it appears the high point of the lobe is on the left and it slopes downward to the right.

    • @law4nyc
      @law4nyc 2 роки тому

      Based on a video I just looked at it appears that this is actually a LHCP cloverleaf design. Please let me know if you agree or disagree based on my description above. Thanks for your advice and guidance.

    I'm at an estimated 50 hours on my Cobra X V1. Like them a lot. Thanks for comparing the DVR with the Orca. I think the upgrade kit is worth to buy. Both the DVR improvement and an extra 20 to 30 minutes (original running time 35-40 minutes on a 1S3000 18650).

    • @Przemo-c
      @Przemo-c 3 роки тому

      The battery life on the original was too low to be "comfortable" and it cut out pretty much immediatly. So I designed and printed myself a bay for 21700 5000mAh that fit (barely) in place of the original battery bay. Just upgraded to V2 and testing how long it will last on 21700 :-)

    • @ApappieK
      @ApappieK 3 роки тому

      @@Przemo-c Do you notice the difference in weight, around 25 extra grams, in front of your nose? Tomorrow I'll get my V2. I'll use my V1 for long distance with 150 mm Pagoda and a 4S5000 21700 pack, that will last a very long day. The V2 will be used for flying whoops and 3" around the house, without the hassle of external batteries. Should last for 1 hr, and changing for a full 18650 takes 15 seconds. Your 21700 5000mAh should last for 1h20min I guess?

    • @Przemo-c
      @Przemo-c 3 роки тому

      @@ApappieK It does feel slightly heavier. But i didn't see it affecting comfort. And I don't notice it when flying. It lasted about 2h 30 min before battery low warning popped up. And then it worked fine for 10 min but it was starting to brown out. This is with medium illumination dvr off and fan set to 15. And the browning out wasn't total screen out and in. It was momentary partial blinks. More than enough to bring a quad back! One thing about my adaptation for 21700... it's tight. Hard to swap out. But with that runtime it's more than enough. I'll probably try tommorow with max illumination and DVR but I bet it will still be more than enough as it was pretty good on the V1.
