Celebrity Ascent is the brand new cruise ship from Celebrity Cruises. Celebrity Ascent is the fifth ship in the Edge series of ships, some of the most modern and beautiful ships at sea. Celebrity Ascent will be nearly identical to her older sister Celebrity Beyond and will feature popular venues like Eden, Magic Carpet, the Martini Bar, Rooftop Garden, Sunset Bar, and so much more.

Thank you so much for doing such detailed reviews! My husband and I are going on this cruise on 12/24 to celebrate Christmas and our 10th anniversary! We can’t wait! We have cruised with Royal Caribbean and Carnival and they are so packed with kids! Based on your video, I don’t see a lot of kids. Is Celebrity more for adults? Love all the decor too, look so sophisticated and luxurious! After cruising on Carnival from Galveston last Thanksgiving, we swear, we will never go with Carnival. Just the quality of people are scary! We called it Walmart of the sea! 🤣🤣🤣

Excellent ship tour! I've been on Edge and Apex before, so I'm familiar with the layout and such. However, each one of these new ships is truly a thing of beauty, and I love all the art pieces throughout the ship! By the way, the E-class ships don't have "main atriums"; Celebrity named that space the Grand Plaza (just FYI 😉). Great job, Zach! Looking forward to the next one!

Excellent video. Thoroughly enjoyed it. What impresses me about this ship (and I suppose it's sisters, although I don't know) is the number of multi-level venues. Celebrity could have put floors across the entire length of each deck to make more (paid) venues, but these open spaces really give a feeling of grandeur and calmness. The same is true of the large windows in some places. I think Celebrity ships really are in a class of their own.

Thanks for this video Zach! I'm so glad to have found your channel! My husband and I are big Celebrity cruises clients and have just come off to 2 back to back 9-day cruises. While we were on board, we booked 3 more cruises. When we found out that they took out the tips from the "All included", we weren't too happy. That's beside the fact that they boosted their prices. And also charging $9.95 for room service? So disappointing 🙁
The Journey to Eden is amazing. The artwork is incredible but it obstructs the walkway. I can imagine a tipsy or full blown drunk passenger walking into the sculptures.
Thank you for doing this! I have been on the Edge several times and Beyond many months ago. I LOVE the Edge class except that I'm not a big fan of the infinite balcony. Aside from that, they are amazing! I think I am going to sail on this one the beginning of 2025.

Very nice job on the tour. I gave my opinion of the ship on another video. To me, it looks a lot like the Beyond with some subtle differences. Is this the last in the class or is there possibly one more ship to come?

Zach. We sailed on the Beyond in Europe last year. Can you highlight what changes were made from the Beyond to the Ascent. Anything major ?
Great video!! we are going on the March 10 sailing. Now I have heard several times on different celebrity Facebook pages that you can basically go to any of the main dining rooms at any time that you wish, no reservation or anything needed. Is that true? We always made a reservation on the equinox and requested a table for 2, as we do not like sitting with other people
So long as you have Celebrity Select dining.
My husband is a large man, will he fit in these chairs in those restaurants? New subscriber here, really love your content, keep it coming. We are going on the Celebrity Beyond March 1-11, very excited, my husbands very first cruise and his birthday week.

We absolutely loved the Beyond and I'm sure we'll love the Ascent as well. Just a shame they didn't make the Sunset Bar bigger since it's proven to be such a popular venue. I mean the actual bar and counter, not the surrounding seating area. Every evening at sunset you have 3 bar staff bumping into each other behind the bar trying to serve all the people waiting for a drink. They should have at least 5 bar staff and twice the amount of space behind the counter, so that they're able to do their job comfortably and efficiently. That was our only complaint on the Beyond though, so very very special.

Slow down. You don’t have to run through the ship. Your viewers want to actually see what it looks like without you rushing through. Filming is pointless if you don’t give enough time to pause on anything.
It's a 56 minute walkthrough where most others are half that. Not sure how much time it takes you to pause the video on something you want to see, but I think that's on your end.
I’d venture to guess the traveling man is trying to get the ‘quick & dirty’ scoop in this vid on Ascent because no one else has uploaded anything about the ship’s interior including Celebrity! Luckily being the 4th ship in its class, the interiors are largely unchanged from the other three. I’m sure he’ll be going into more detail as the days progress, but if you want to see more detail in this vid, try to adjust your playback speed to .75 instead of normal. It’ll slow the vid down a bit for some more viewing time! Yes, Z will sound like he’s narrating a little tipsy lol, but it’s a way to see more on the vid if you feel he rushed any locations :)

@@ZachtheTravelingMan You’re doing great dude! I’ve been cruising with X since I was 10.. first sailing on the Millennium back in ‘00. Heading on Ascent on 12/10 and I’m PUMPED. There’s been a million changes to the sailing experience over my 20 years knowing the line, but they continue to offer the best overall service for dollars that I can find.
