I'm from Bergen Norway, i live at Askøy. There are no Mcdonalds at Askøy, but there is an Burger King :O PS And your right, Ole Gunnar Solskjær did play for Molde and managed them. But he is from Kristiansund and started his career in Clausenengen (Local team in Kristiansund).

Fun fact: That place is roughly just 2-3ish years old because the highway itself situated next to too is really recent, before that there were just small 2 way roads slithering around the mountains which, it may sound epic driving in those, but when you’ve lived in Norway it just gets boring and a highway is just so much better
I always visited that McDonalds at Amanda when I was a kid. We didn't have McDonalds in my home town back then, so when we visited Haugesund we always got to eat McDonalds. It was a rare occation, which made it nice. Now that McDonalds is everywhere, it's no longer exciting.
That Moa is in the municipality of Ålesund. If I'm not mistaken, Moa is a part of Spjelkavik (originally a village?), which is a part of the municipality.
Based on these locations, Norway seems like a land of overbuilt road infrastructure. Maybe the oil industry has something to do with it. I got trapped in the parking lot maze on R4. Obviously, McDonald's is deeply linked with American style development.
It's always fun to search something like eg. McDonald's. I haven't eaten in any of those five, but have driven very near to all of them. Make more Norway challenges!
There are no Mcdonalds restaurants in Northern half of Norway and none of them are in beautiful locations. There are also very few of them in general. So not the best way of sightseeing in Norway.
A McDonald's was recently opened in Tromsø and soon McDonald's will open in Bodø as well. McDonald's aims to open five to six restaurants in Northern Norway over the next couple of years.

The Kr on the sign was a coin, Norwegian 'Kroner', signifying a toll road.

A lot of the McDs here are built in newer developments along highways. It may seem very empty that way.
