Thanks Matt. I will definitely be returning when those hounds turn up in the spring. Probably film the other access path this time. Thanks for watching 👍
Hello Dave👋 Enjoyed watching as always buddy fantastic improvisation with the rod rest 👍 fishing as been hard also around hear on our coast Dave just waiting for the winter species to move in again thank you for bringing us the video looking forward to the next one tight lines buddy 🎣 👍
Cheers John. Yes I noticed the sea temp was still quite warm to the touch for this time of the year. I haven't fished there for years but I'm going to film the alternative get down soon. Hopefully it will fish a bit better 👍
Thanks for sharing I used to love fishing there I have found that it fishes best on a median to spring tide high tide three hours into the ebb and first of the flood
Thank you. It's been so long since I fished there I couldn't remember the best tide. I will be going back at some point to cover the other access route onto the beach 👍
i remember fishing there when the trees were a 100 yards behind you, and the famers field was between the beach and the trees, each winter the farmers field got smaller until we went down one Saturday and the trees were in front of us, out in the sea
Thanks for another informative video Dave. Great timing as Covehithe is on our hit list for a visit. Used to fish there all the time as a kid and it was a brilliant venue back then.
Funny enough, did not know what a weever fish was, caught one today and without knowing handeled like a bass cause I saw the black spikes and forgot about it... then I Found this comment today, wondering what a weever fish is, searched on google and found out that is the same fish of today and they can STING!!! Omg. What a lucky day. I was fishing with my 3 years old. Did not let it touch🤯🤯 took couple of good pictures tho (excuse my English)
@Zarate98Fishing wow, you had a lucky escape there. There are very few fish in the UK waters that can sting but this one can be painful. There are a few like Bass with spikes but apart from the wound they cause they are not long lasting pain.👍
Thanks for the video. Not too many fish about but informative nonetheless. Not my stomping ground but always nice to see what’s happening elsewhere. Those pesky whiting will be here soon enough and we’ll be cursing every single one of them, won’t be long.
Ty for the video it bought back memories fishing with my dad approx 40 years ago
That's lovely, thank you for watching 👍
Great video buddy, that beach can really produce some fantastic fishing on its day.
Thanks Matt. I will definitely be returning when those hounds turn up in the spring. Probably film the other access path this time.
Thanks for watching 👍
Great to see you back Dave take care
Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks for watching. Yes that's probably true about most of our coastline, forever changing 👍
Informative as ever - and fantastic lighting at 18/19mins.
Cheers Chris. Just needed a lightning strike to top it off 😁
Another informative video David 👍
Thanks for watching 👍
Fished there in the 80s when the Cod were still about. I used a wheely bin at Walton when I forgot my tripod.
I can remember those days as well. The last time I caught a Cod there was around 1984. Great idea using a wheelie bin 😁

I'm not sure if there is another maybe quicker access to the beach but if you use that one, a barrow might work 👍
Caught weever at Gorleston last week
Seems to be more round out beaches this year .... I'm surprised more people haven't been stung while swimming during summer 😧

What a treemendous rod rest. Where can I get one? Forest Tackle? Do they have a local branch?
😂😂😂 Brilliant. I'm just glad I didn't have a record breaking session using the rest. It would have had to come home with me 😉
Al2ays carry a spare m8😂
I bloody knew you would say that ... First time ever tho. I have gone fishing and found another rest inside before 😂
😂😂
