Is Ethel in the Guinness book for history's longest donkey pregnancy? My family were dairy farmers in upstate Maine so I know how hard the farm life is, but seeing you doing all you do (not just feeding, but fixing and replacing equipment), brings back and happy and very tough memories for me. Thank you for sharing and please stay warm.

The shelter for the B team, is there a way you could put a divider half way thru barn and feed the B team on the other side of barn, as you may need to enlarge your teams to keep up with your orders. 👏👏👏👏👏 That would be a good problem to have.

I think separating the goats is a great idea, also smart thinking, putting the grain bin in the barn. My cows do the same thing, I constantly have to watch about hitting them. The feeder makes it nice to get ahead of the cattle, I like it. Thanks for sharing Mike, have a wonderful weekend.

My dad used to make pig or calf feeders with 2 by 8 or 10's. He nailed them in a v shape and then put about a 15- or 20-inch board on each end. It was easy to make in a bind and quick. The wood soon swelled together and made a nice trough.

Been hearing some people complaining about their chickens not laying even in nicer climates. When they give them scraps instead they lay again. So they think the feed is messed up and it doesnt seem to be a specific brand. Guess its good you mix your own.

They need more protein in the winter months to maintain body condition, body heat and to be able to lay. Adding Sunflower seeds like Mike & Erin do gives them the extra they need.
