THANKS DUDE, I think I got much closer with the dirt tone I did. the boss katana isnt exactly digital! its real solid state with actual pedal board circuits inside; thats mainly why I love this amp so much.

Great sounding tones !! I do have a question for ya. For all the EQs..... on the MOD you have a Graphic EQ, the FX a Parametric EQ, Contour on 1, EQ another Parametric EQ, EQ2 another Parametric EQ. Thats a bunch of EQs and right now its hard for me to follow why so many. I use the Airstep for my Katana and for the AIC sound I like to use the auto-wah for songs like MiTBox. But with all these EQs it seems to be taking away the ability to switch the "foot pedals(wah,chorus,etc)" on or off without completely messing up the tone(since the MOD and FX are both set to an EQ). Would you possibly be able to explain all this ? but again, your tones do sound really darn good and THANK YOU for putting them out !
there’s so many EQs because i’m trying to shape the input to be as similar to jerry’s amp input. and the parametrics in the 2 EQ sections are shaping the tone after the amp. if you want to have the footswitch to change between wah and no wah. you can make the Parametric a wah on ONE patch and ONE without the wah on the next. and A/B between them. you can do this with multiple effects. like have 1 patch with the chorus on, 1 patch with the Wah, and 1 patch with only the eqs for rhythm sections. If i could use less eqs to make the tones i would. but without them the tone doesn’t sound nearly as good. (whichever eq in front of the amp is doing the least amount of db change can be changed to an effect like wah or chorus)
Thank you ! I think I got it. One more question, though. I noticed the volume for this patch (and others) is set to 100. Do you keep the volume at 100 and just adjust the master ? I usually do this so that when going between channels my output sound is the same level. Again , thank you for doing what you do and doing it very well.
@@167rockstar i try to make all my tones the same volume for downloads. yes i usually have every tone volume at 100 and manipulate the master knob. i dont think it sounds much different with the regular volume knob down too.
Its the stock pickup that came in the guitar. i did change it at one point but the pickup i changed it to broke so im back with the factory pickup. its pretty tame, not too muddy, a little twangy.

ARE YOU USING THE 0.5 WATT SETTING AND WHATS YOUR MASTER???? i use the 100 watt setting and master close to dimed and i adjust with preamp volume. this patch would blow my ears out
i use 50w for most videos and the master is barely even on. preamp volume always at 100. i try to keep things relatively quiet so the neighbors don’t fuss.
@@Synthedelic interesting, your tones are always top notch though. the boss reps recommended diming the master and using preamp volume to taste to get closer to tube sound but your recording sound great. i like your idea also of diming the pre amp and adjusting with master. lucky i dont care about my neighborshaha and i like to keep it on 100watts and play loud, using ear protection of course
