I too just watched your whole series...very helpful, thank you! I installed the rc boat blitz splash guard...what a pain, I opted to use washers and nuts to attach it, I had to file the washers so they would fit against the ribs on the bow. A second pair of hands is helpful attaching this accessory.
I've just watched the entire series on upgrades you've made to your Spartan while trying to decide if i should offer many of these parts. Thanks for doing a great job on this series, I've subscribed!
Hi Dalton I used a 3.5mm drill bit, as the screws were 4mm. It all depends on what size screws you get supplied. Generally if I want a tight fit for plastic or wood I will go two sizes smaller and then try the screw to see if it will bite, if it is a little too tight i will go just one under and then stick with that. 99% of the time it works well, mainly depends how strong the wood or plastic is, hope this helps.
okiedoak201 love the upgrades and the boat, glad you liked it, just wanted to help others because I couldn't find anyone showing how to do them, they would just show the finished work. 😀
You mean I could have spent $20 for this thing to keep water out? I feel so dumb. I used clear waterproof tape to seal the hatch. Cost me about $2.50. 😉
Omg you need a hop up option to stop the boat from leaking.why didnt traxxas learn how to build a rc boat to start with!Your a fool for buying the option and the boat!

What is the blue piece that you have connected the second cooling tube onto called?
Hi Dustin
It is just a water connector I got from boat blitz from memory, I actually want to get a second one to match the other one
Thank you Chris for the helpful video!
What is this part good for??
You should do a video to see how it works.
Looks sweet. Did you modify the cooling system? I just bought a spartan and I’m waiting for the mail. I have heard about a overheating problem

Shouldn’t it be sealed as well, at least the holes?
You should have sealed the back off the bolts
I cringed when you put the nose of that boat on to the concrete.
