Subd! Just taking a sec to say that even though you seem to have just started this UA-cam thing you really have a knack for it, your vlogging style and the way you speak to the the camera feels very natural and engaging, keep it up and it'll go places. I just happened to stumble upon your channel because of the Ebay control arm vid you posted on the 350Z page.
Those DE's are stout engines, mine has 210k and has no sludge whatsoever. It's very reliable, I want to make it last another 200k. I just need to start replacing the suspension parts though. Thinking about getting some test pipes and a 22 inch glasspack. That aught to shave a good 50lbs and hopefully it won't sound like shit. I definitely want to do the the glasspack in place of the stock resonator. Just worried that the test pipes will create to much rasp. It's very tempting though because I can get 90 per cat. Plus I don't need the cats where I live there's no emissions. I have a CAI and 5/16th plenum spacer. I'm content with those mods. It's never going to be over 280hp, but it'll be fun nevertheless.
Dope car! Have a Tommy Kaira Body for 350Z with rebuilt engine, Titanium exhaust(Tomei) system from headers to cat. Tomei cams too. 400Hp to the wheels. Unfortunately a DE with a 6 th cylinder issue & block wear :,(
The funky idle is from the thing you pulled out the intake. You just created a vacuum leak leaving it open. Which is why it’s idle surging. Same thing happened to my car and I installed a eps pcv delete and it fixed it.
damn 30hp difference lol doesnt matter on a track though :\ #drivermod i personally couldnt find an HR that wasnt a peice of shit or overpriced, so i got my de for 10 wih 30k miles on it, 1 owner, pretty much brand new
I overpaid for both the HR cars I purchased and I thrash on them. Obviously would've preferred to spend less money but I was insistent on an HR and they're all kinda pricey.
We might be related 😂 we have the exact same last name and i never meet anyone with the Stiles last name 😂 but im in florida your probably in texas lol luckyyy its all about the hr though
A dyno is just a tool for measuring change, “delta”, so try not to look at the end number, as much as the difference from beginning of mods/tune, to the final result. BTW, you’ll never see that car reach it’s potential, with those short ram intakes, sucking in hot engine bey air.
I have almost the same intakes on my 07 G35. 170F Thermostat for an 08 G37 and remapped fans keep my IATs from even getting as hot as they did with the factory air boxes.
Nice runs...That being said, not faster than a HR! Not talking trash but it wouldn't touch my 07 G35 HR Sedan. 326 hp and 282 tq at the ground. Intakes, Headers, 2.5" custom dual exhaust, Stillen underdrive pulley, 08 G37 170F thermostat, Uprev tuned by me. I found nearly 30 hp and 50 ft/lbs in the HR engine from cam phasing adjustments.
@@chrisreynolds6520 do you think the stillen underdrive pulley would have a better impact on throttle response for vq3.5 engine compared to a pedal commander?
@@cedricmiller4370 Never used a pedal commander. My Uprev throttle mapping can be tuned as aggressive as one wants. My car tends to hold lower gears starting off uphill now. Not uncommon to see it shift around 5,000 rpm on an uphill ramp at around 1/3 throttle. Just a little throttle goes a long way. The underdrive pulley was noticeable off the line, especially with the a/c on. I can run the a/c now and it feels the same as without the a/c going before. With the stock pulley you could really feel the compressor drag on the engine.
Its cool but still slow, the thing with the Zs is the driving experience, its amazing, i flored it a few days ago and it felt amazing, it felt like i was going 160 and climbing, but when i checked out my speed i barely was hitting 110+ xD 350z and 370z are fun, charming and quite unique, but sadly they are slow as fuck
What tuning system did you use? I'm not shure what's all out there ... I plan to tune my G35 sports sedan 6speed High Rev motor, new to the nissan game.
True Radio we did that after the video. Also, I bought the car with those intakes. that’s why we were confused on what the previous owner did to leave a giant hole in one of them.
@@VanessaStiles33 it's supposed to have a like a thumb you can cap off. You have a really cool channel keep going (: and you should get little filters on the pvc valves them selves and cap off parts of the manifold

Adnan Pilav I appreciate the support! Thanks for the kind words!
Love my DE. It only has 36k miles on it and I don't really do much with it other than drive it/mod it some. No tracking or Auto X yet.

For test pipes go Motordyne art pipes there worth every penny best sounding test pipes in my opinion.
Two years later. I’m curious, still running or did you sold it?

we fixed it later in the video!
If you swapped those intakes out and got a retune I bet you could see another 5-10 whp. Short rams make less power than stock air boxes.
That is in the works!
You should consider changing the gear ratios as a mod for your Z if you haven't already
It's because the car still getting air from the other side, you has to close the pcv pipe from both sides.
I like that custom bleeder whole you have on your radiator reservoir lol
Yeah at once point my car was spewing coolant out of it. No worries though, I fixed it with some gorilla tape.

I have gapped a 370Z with bolt ons in a 3.5HR G35 Auto sedan. Ran 12.8 @ 108 on street tires at 214K.
My thoughts not true number or potential for the car or bike in my field just saying 20years experience talking here

What are your mods?
Just full exhaust and the K&N intakes (which I would not recommend over stock air boxes).
Vanessa Stiles unless they are the injen or stillen ones that go outside the engine bay, just put those on my HR and love it
Do a pcv delete
Or PVC not sure but also I would have kept the stock air boxes over the ones you have now, no hate ♡
