  • I tested this glider on a calmer and sunny day. After these flights I modified the CG and the magic is began. Stay in tune!

      Thank You for your comment. In this calm weather I can found this glider real CG after these flights. I took away some weight from the nose and push the elevator a little bit (I did it earlier too at this glider) but I did it again. So the glider can turn and loop so fast and easily now again and the glider can float faster now in cruise mode. Unbeliavble what can cause a little weight. I have not thought that the right CG is such important to find.

    Is this one made with vacum bag technology? What are you used for this model boom? Nice flight and launch!

      Thank You! Yes, it is made by vacuum bag technology. I use a fishing rod for its boom. I cut the rod thinner end about 22cm length and I glued it the boom's beginning with epoxy for holding the electronics parts. My next model will get a stronger and lighter boom from a carboned fishing rod.

      Thank You! The AUW is around 300g. After these flights I can find the right CG, so the glider can turn, lopping and floating straight easier than in this video. I will test it yet. A little weight can change the flying caracteristics. So after these flights I took away some noseweight.

      @@bracesport The CG point is 7.4cm from the LE that glider can turn, loop and float easily now (setuped after this video). The wing's root cord size is 16.4cm. It is interesting that CG point how can change everything.

    And, if is not a too much to ask, maybe some video, pictures of what have you done, change that now you, and dlg are very very happy?

      Thank You very much and I appreciate your comment, but I don't really understand what your question is at the end. I just realized that it is very important to find the correct CG (center of gravity) so that the glider can perform at its best, i.e. the air flows past it as easily as possible, braking the glider as little as possible. This forum thread helped a lot with how to build and of course watching the many UA-cam videos on the subject. I would like to mention a few UA-cam channels whose operators have provided me with a lot of information, encouragement and useful advice: filos, D Banko, bracesport, wind & wings I learned a lot from them, so I am very grateful to them. Of course, development is still going on and as time goes on, I hope one day I will be lucky enough to get a real factory-quality glider. ;)

      @@Neocro The CG point is 7.6cm (@49%) from the LE (leading edge). The wing's root cord size is 15.6cm.
