I read some posts where the aftermarket part was not recommended. The result left a lot to be desired. (harshness?) Some pulled the replacement and changed it to the Honda mount. It's more costly, but the outcome was much better.
Upper mount was super easy. Only hard thing was figuring out how to remove the top mount bolt. I think I used a 17mm. Check out my video on the transmission mounts
170k, but I've replaced a few mounts on some 2015+accords with less than 100k on them so idk lol one was a old ladys car and she barely drove it, but all the mounts were shot to shit
I just realized two variables that make this mount change so much later than my TSX, is that I'm in Toronto, northern climate, which probably dry rots rubber, and I have a manual which puts more stress on mounts when you disengage the clutch. I'm at 232000km or 144000 miles
Any vibration at highway speed inside the cabin and steering wheel with the bad front engine mount? Any clunk noise at initial takeoff and backup? My 09 TSX 6SPD with 123k miles is having these issues now.
The top of my front engine mount was completely torn off and was basically not doing anything. The car didn't have too much vibration initially. My problem was when I would try to keep the car going at 35, 40, 45 mph at a constant speed it would shake. Speeding, getting into gear and everything else was alright. No thumps or anything. I guess it all depends on how bad all of them are, but once one goes bad the rest are either shot as well or about to go. So better off swapping all of them. That is very typical of bad mounts when you go into drive or reverse. I would ask someone to get into the car. Open the hood. Have them start it while you observe the engine movement. Have them hold the brakes while they lightly tap the accelerator of the car while in drive and the same while in reverse. You will be able to visibly verify the mounts are bad
@DIYat home I'm laid off right kow but as soon as I get back to work this spring I'm changing them all. I'm at 132000 miles so it's time wither way. How lignin would you say it takes to change the front and rear on the tsx? It's 30deg here so I wanna do it as fast as possible lol.
Awesome vid man. I did the front mount but didn’t have my phone with me to record. Front mount I had to slide it to the side to pull it out. Sway bar bushings and the transmission filter were a bit challenging but I got them.
The front mount? About 30 minutes to an hour. Depends on your skill level. For sure its one of the easier ones. Hardest ones are the one in the back, which is just uncomfortable, but doable. The bottom transmission mount is the hardest for sure. I'd suggest removing the top transmission mount, then the bottom one. Change the bottom one first then the top

Facts glad you made this video
Bro how can I get the bolts that hold the braket on the motor ?
You wanna buy the bolts? If thats what you want to do you can buy them at an Acura dealership
Soo how you change the upper transmission mount
I have a video on the upper and bottom mounts!

Should i change all 3 mount or just one like you changed.
Usually they all need to be changed at once. Once one goes out the rest are about done for as well 😅
Whats the mileage of the car when you replaced the mounts?

@@youngb1ood regardless of the climate they last about 120k to 170k tops. I'm about 20k into my used oem set I got from a junkyard

I used anchor brand motor mounts. I'll reply more in depth in a gew
Mine is clunking when it's goes from park to a gear as well. But no vibrations. I'm changing mine this weekend
@@jynpeg good luck

Glad to be of help. I'll try to post more videos soon. Just bought a 1994 Honda Prelude I'm working on, but haven't really recorded anything on it
How long does it actually take to change.
