Happy Knotting 💜You can find more detailed instructions for this project and a handy shopping list in my blogpost for this Macrame Plant Hanger 👉 macrameforbeginners.com/diy-macrame-plant-hanger-tutorial/
I’m so happy to hear that you liked my tutorial Maria 💖 Thank you! You can share it in our Macrame for Beginners Facebook Group or tag me on Instagram. Can’t wait to see it!
Thank you! You would only have to add a little bit of extra length probably. It’s important to always fit a pot by putting it in the hanger before you make the connecting square knots and gathering knot. Can’t wait to see it 💜
What would I need to adjust pattern for a larger (say 17cm) diameter pot? Just found your You Tube site, looks great. Can't wait to explore more of your tutorials.
Thank you 💖 You can cut your cords a bit longer and simply adjust the position of the final square knot that connects the sections together and measure where your final gathering knot should go.

Ive tried this but to get 13 crosses the white cord is now that short that i cant get the cross bits that holds the pot with them. Was the 3.7m cord halved or were they supposed to be slightly longer on one side?
Could you tell me about how much more cord I would need to add for this to fit a 6" pot? I'm new so I'm not sure how to adapt the pattern for my own personal use. Thank you! I hope to make one of these soon
I left enough space for a bigger pot but you can add some length to be sure. You only need to lower your last knots and gathering knot for closing so pot size doesn’t matter too much.
Not a dumb question at all 💖 You fold the cords double with a larks head knot before you start knotting. They are indeed each 370 cm long (which is 145”)
@@MacrameforBeginners thank you for the quick response.. I didn't see larkhead knots in your pattern but just rather putting all it cords through the ring and then doing the wrap and then starting the macrame but I am already done with one section and it's looking awesome.. very easy pattern to follow and love that this was a two-toned project which is exactly what I was looking for.. thanks so much!!! 😊
Hi Viv 💞 Please read the description or check my blog post. You need 4 x 250 cm lilac cords. The 2 x 50cm is to make your gathering knots. Happy Knotting 😘
I never heard this complaint so I think you might have made a small measuring error ☺️ possibly cause you’ve used different cords than in the tutorial?

I love the pot also
Love the cross knot with a different colour!! What do I need to do for this to suit a larger pot?

Hi Marloes, please how long is your finished hanger from top to the tail? Thank you :)
Hi Eva! Excluding the ring, the hanger is about 50cm long 😁
Parabéns! 👍👏👏🌹😘😘
Great 😍

Genius
I have 5mm poly cord that I would like to make this with. how much do I need to increase cord length?
Hi Lani, you can check my site macrameforbeginners.com, click on the looking glass icon and search for my guide with measurement tips. In there you’ll find a link to a conversion table.
On this particular project, how much would you say you cut off the end ?
Ive tried this but to get 13 crosses the white cord is now that short that i cant get the cross bits that holds the pot with them. Was the 3.7m cord halved or were they supposed to be slightly longer on one side?
So besutiful... Where did you find those gold _S_ hooks? Can you use a _S_ hook instead of wooden ring?
Thank you! I got them at a Dutch DIY store. I only use S-hooks to work from and don’t integrate them in my projects.

What is the hanging length please as I'll be using a trail plant in mine?
With ring this hanger is about 60 cm / 24” but you can easily adjust this
Thank you
Would this work with a single color with 3 or 4mm of cord which is 60mm measured out which would equal out to 5 meters of cord for this?
Sorry I can’t advise for different cord use. If you use thicker cord than advised, add some length.
May I ask a dumb question please.. is each of the courts 370 cm of the first eight cords to work with? That's like 145 in long which is really long
