This will always be the goat racing arcade game . You can play this for 20 years and still not perfect the lines , gears , drift to perfection like this guy does . I can only imagine how satisfying this would be . The drifts lines etc are cm perfect . The satisfaction of just seeing the car do this is amazing . Who ever made this game is a genius . When you pass the Jeffrey statue and go down the hill making a slight right, the next two turns, you do 1-4 (left turn) and 2-4 (right u-turn). Do you use breaks or release gas at all or do you do it full gas. Having a little trouble with these two turns. :/
left 1-4 has mild extended gas release (so the rpm is at 7000, no tyre spin) and just use 1st at the u-turn. I can figure out what he does at every corner except that one
What are the general inputs for the lighthouse hairpin? I can see 2nd, 4th with accel balancing for the car. Is there any braking during the 2nd gear shift? This is the only corner I have never figured out how you do
Well, only the player knows then, but I can share that, I saw some super players link battle quite often back then, 8P deluxe machines, yes the seat will move, and each with a camera, and I saw they only use brake for the startup and the last corner, their general corners speed are faster than this video showing, no offence and i may not remember it correctly anyway, so i guess maybe no brake there
@@usermissy the 270km supports the idea of no brake, the speed is amazing. Average speeds are not gonna be much faster than this, team Demolition X will be involved with the players you saw a while ago. Only thing i don't like is the wall bump in the tunnel, which I think could maybe help on beginner too
@@usermissyOnce you shift back into 3rd gear you must apply the accelerator again (about 70%) Get the rpm to sit steady at about 6500rpm (mid of yellow, like the fast start) speeds of 230-240kmh are very good (Never actually held 240+ around there completely) At all corners you must balance the rpm into the yellow to gain grip, allowing you to accelerate the car (not just forwards but also inwards around the corner) Every time he shifts to 4th gear early you will see the rpm move into the yellow because he settles the car by either, * releasing a bit of accel pedal (which can then be eased back to the floor once grip is maintained) * Using a couple quick shifts of 4,3,4 (uses 3rd gear to settle, like the old 1,3,4 technique)
In normal race (or you mean non-TA) there are opponent cars that you can gain speed from their slipstream behind so there is no way TA is faster than normal race. In normal race those opponent cars can be troublesome though, and ruin the race, but it has higher potential to do name entry with faster time but it cannot be counted in comparsion of pure skill becuase of all the luck dealing with opponent cars. Moreover, I don't see it is possible to know the World Record unless there are official leaderboards. The first one should be Daytona USA 2001 but the leaderboard webpages are gone I think along with the official website. PS3 and XBL Arcade versions both have official rankings and everyone can check it any time.

Hi buddy. For the last bend, you shift 1 and then 3. Did u release the accelerator pedal or brake or just simply changing of gears?
Hi, when shifting the gear from 4 to 1, release the accelerator and floor the brake pedal at the same time.
