You look great in everything. I don't think it's the price, quality or the fit or the feel that concerns me. They look extremely comfortable and stylish. I have a similar high rise slight distress pair of jeans from Old Navy similar to the Dad jeans that I wear all the time. Target has a pair similar without the distress. It's nice for A&F to reach the 21st Century and not just cater to size 00, but they burned the bridge for me and I'm not going to rebuild it. I'm not usually petty and I can afford their stuff just fine, but it feels kind of fun to pass them up and say - Too little, too late. LOL. My two cents - nothing at all to do with your lovely self! Keep going!
I can't understand promoting a company who doesn't support the plus size community. Are we that happy that they decided to dangle a carrot, a few pair of unimpressive jeans, that we should be running to grab anything that may happen to go on our bodies? I'm, personally not that desperate. There are more inclusive stores for us to frequent where I feel better about handing over my money. An oversized shirt that doesn't fit as oversized on me is not really meant for me to wear. Still, I appreciate what you do. And, thanks for the information.
I completely understand what you are saying, but I see it a different way. I appreciate that they are making an effort and hope the sizing will get better over time. I say support them enough to let them know we curvy women have money to spend and want to look stylish and feel comfortable, too. Be sure to leave honest and helpful reviews to encourage them to get their act together.
@@kathya9522 I think that maybe you should do some research. This company has historically rejected those who don't look a certain way. I would truly appreciate and welcome real change from Abercrombie. I just don't think we should be grateful for a few crumbs at this point. What are you going to wear with your jeans? Probably something purchased from a store who caters to a larger range of sizes in all of their clothing.
Darlene Joyner I don't think most people the history of the Former CEO Mike Jeffries. He is a jerk. I won't touch this brand with a ten foot pole. I do enjoy Taren so I support her channel be not this brand.
I disagree. The former CEO is the one who made the comment. Yeah it's messed up but he is no longer there & this was years ago. It was an inexcusable comment for him to make. But life goes on, companies change and they are trying to be inclusive. It is very hard to find fashionable plus size clothing and props to Abercrombie for welcoming larger sizes. It's a lot better than what other companies are doing!
Happy to hear they extended their sizes, but nothing enticed me for their prices. Bummer....I would have killed to shop there as a plus sized teen or twenty-something!! But...at this point in my life, they can keep it.

Abercrombie like many brands in the 90s didn’t care to carry plus sizes im glad they are being inclusive now! I’m so glad you did this try on because when straight size store go plus size, they sometimes don’t get it right. Loved the 90s jeans!!!!!!!
This whole video gave me flashbacks to being in high school and a size 12/14 and trying to shop AE, hollister and Abercrombie and them only carrying up to a size like 14 at the time. The clothes were so expensive and uncomfortable but I squeezed in to them to be cool.

I loved Abercrombie in college but quit them when my size changed. Good to know they are extending their sizes. Although I’m more comfortable with denim from other brands, I have seen some cute Fall tops and wondered how they fit plus sizes.

All the jeans that have no stretch cause me great anxiety. I never realized how used to stretch in jeans I was til these alleged 90s style came back! Everything looked great on you. It’s just hard to spend that much on jeans. Those A and F are for kids whose parents are footing the bill! Lol.

I've been on the fence about buying A&F jeans for a while as they've been advertised as being these amazing plus sized jeans, but after your review I'm now kinda "meh". Everything looked great on you (I'm also a size 20, so I was so happy to see this!); however, I didn't think their jeans were anything new or groundbreaking compared to other plus sized jeans I can get out there - I am so glad I watched this and saved myself some $$.
I'm getting AEO vibes, in that the increase in sizing is a gimmick when none of the rest of their line is increased. I still love my AEO jeans though and they also have the wider leg options (just sell out quickly). My issue is getting jeans with a TRUE high waist vs marketing label (like we wouldn't notice).
Abercrombie offers up to XXXL in a lot of styles. AE didn't even offer up to XXL in store.
@@saint9961 in stock? When larger sizes are offered, they aren't stocked. Even Old Navy sells out of some styles within a few days in larger sizes. If ya' want it, it's full price or nothing.
@@aikanae1 Yeah! I’m on there now and they have lots of stuff! Great clearance options as well. I have some Abercrombie pieces and I really like them, more than AEO. Would rather shop here than torrid with their outdated styles from 10 years ago lmao

But, for all the pervious comments Ambercrombie has made towards plus size woman.. and plus sized people in general.. I would never purchase or ever give them my money.. I don't care what price they are. I feel like it's their sorry way of trying to take our money.. Its just a slap in the face. It's like saying.. I hate plus size people.. but I will take your money. Well.. not mine.

Thank you for doing this video. I’ve never ever paid over $25.00 for a pair of jeans. My favorite pair I got on clearance at Walmart for $11.00. I love a bargain! LOL! When I was in high school I couldn’t afford A&F and now I don’t want to pay $$. I just don’t see that much of a difference except the price.
Will you do a video on how to layer for fall and winter without adding bulk? I am the same shape as you and love to layer, but feel like I add a sweater and 50 pounds!

Hi! I’ve been binge watching your videos since finding your channel a few weeks ago. Love to see someone trying on plus size clothes that are stylish. I’m curious… do jeans stretch out in you throughout the day? I only ask because you sometimes say jeans are tight on your waist but when I buy jeans if they aren’t tight when I first put them on they just stretch out and get way too big as the day goes on. Again thank you for your great content and your awesome personality❤️

Buckle jeans are 🙌💜. Yes they are pricey. I bought one pair and I will not wear any other jeans now. Perfect for beautiful, curvy, plus size bodies.

Yes! I have done a handful of Lang Bryant hauls (just search TAREN DENISE LANE BRYANT on UA-cam). Unfortunately all the stores near me have closed

Between the fact that back in the 90s I dated a guy who told me I wasn't good enough for him because I didn't wear this brand, and also because they are just now including plus size, because they're way overpriced for stuff I can get anywhere, I will never, ever shop at Abercrombie & Fitch. I can and will pay good money for good quality clothes, but theirs aren't anything special and not any better quality than what I can get at Walmart for way less. I don't like wearing stuff where you are just paying for the name.
That being said, everything looks great on you.
Sorry to say, I don't care for any of the jeans. Just my personal feelings, they look very tight and uncomfortable.

What are Dad jeans? Is there a website that explains the different kinds of jeans and their decade? I am so lost. Fashion baffles me. All I know about 2021 is 'front-tuck' and those bright white clod-hopper tennis shoes (we don't call them sneakers in these neck of the woods.) I really want to know where to earn about all this fashion stuff.

Taren, what is your inseam length? I wear a 20W or 22W for jeans and pants and they are almost always several inches too long. I'm 5'7" but my torso is longer than my legs (inseam is 29 plus a teeny bit.) Petite does not work for me. I hate that at my size I apparently should have a 32" inseam!! LOL

I had no idea this company extended the sizing! Of course, our store closed a long time ago...so did Hollister. First sweatshirt.....crop! NO NO NO....at least for me. Plaid button Down...TOTAL yes!! But the jeans.. 84 bucks?' *dying of a stroke*
I guess I’m just old fashioned but I’ve never found the appeal of the distressed jeans - I just can’t see paying that much money for a pair of jeans that have been deliberately ripped or torn; plus I live in a cold, northern climate so they’d be very breezy during the winter months and not practical for casual Fridays at the office.

They are pretty pricey and nothing spectacular in my opinion. I have overpaid for clothes for so long over the years and have really got some cute and well made things this year off Amazon. Have you done an Amazon haul? I would love to see one for fall for winter.

It’s so sad that you have to spend so much and not get much. I’ve been more impressed with what Old Navy is doing lately. Regular size and plus size now on all racks and all the same price. I work at IKEA and need comfy durable jeans or blue pants. My favorites are the pixie and the boyfriend jeans. But I do have a few rockstar thrown in too. 🤪 Even though I’d never go to AandF (haven’t in 15 years) you looked great. This old woman loves your videos.
Cuff the jeans and wear something with a heel: booties, wedge, platform etc...easy way to adjust to wider ankle...chic.

i know everyone including myself is disgusted at what they said back in 2000s but the company was owned by someone else at that time , thankfully their new ceo is more inclusive and i don’t wanna make this about other issues either but they support the trevor project and BLM now too! I’m not saying we have to accept them but blame the old ceo for his exclusive and hurtful words/actions!
1st pair, booo. I really dislike the ragged holes in the knees. It’s actually kind of annoying to me to but brand bra jeans that are ripped. You can rip them yourself lol. I know the high rise is in but I really dislike them. I don’t think they are flattering on anyone. To me, they make us plus women look heavier on the bottom. But even those really skinny, it makes them look bigger in not a flattering way.
Hey Taren, I love the hair today! Not a big fan of the first pair of jeans, they are giving you, dare I say . . . a bit of a camel toe. I love the tops though, they have such great colours, and those shorts are great!!
3rd pair, I really like them best but again, the “distressing.” Why the heck are people paying $75 for a pair of jeans that looks like they caught in machinery. Seriously, you’ll get this look by working in a pair of jeans or heck, taking a pair of scissors to them. I can’t justify $75 for 1 pair of jeans that makes me look like a hobo just bc they are in style. I know. That’s not a popular idea but am I really the only one that sees it this way. These would be perfect without the rat chewed look at bottom. Sorry, it’s a pet peeve of mine but bc it’s the style, I also have brand new holey jeans. So annoying. I’m about to patch them and make “Real vintage” with patches lol
Just say NO to those prices… I would say yes if I put the jeans on and they were perfect but “ I don’t hate them…” I would be returning them. Love you , not A & F.
