    i once made a mistake of making a racist remark and ended up losing my best friend forever. my mom use to try and tell me racist jokes but i always left the room, could never talk her out of saying them, so i just avoided her when she would start. once you travel the world and meet different people and cultures, you learn that these people are no different than you and you treat them with respect.

    I know what it is like to be looked down on. I am white but I am old, at age 90. People treat me as though I am the village idiot, when I shop, in certain stores, which shall remain nameless. Not all sales people do this, but it has happened. Jesus gives the example of how to treat people, kindly.

    This story is one that we, as Blacks, have dealt with over the years. Underestimate because of the color of our skin that we can not afford the items in certain stores. I have dealt with this oh too often. I'm grateful that Darrius put him in his place and taught him a lesson.

    This is a dumb made up story, but keep in mind that in reality if a luxury store clerk is discriminating on a person thinking that they are poor it's probably not because of their race but rather the clothing that they are wearing.
    The same situation could occur with people of other races.

Everyone deserves to be treated the same there is no room in this world for prejudice and that has to go for all people.

      So if I want a rodent to leave my house, I just stop talking about it? That's lame and makes no sense. I like what Michelle Obama said, when she spoke at the DNC, "Do something!" Only when we do something to educate and engage people in discussions of how others feel when their air of superiority and disrespect is directed toward them do we begin the opportunity for change. It's when we honestly and respectfully talk about it and listen to how others feel when our behavior is negative towards them might things change. Don't just stop talking about it, but do something about it is what Mr. Freeman should have said.

    • @chrishale6498
      @chrishale6498 2 дні тому

      @@reggiehuff1873So, your comparing a rodent with racism. I'm not sure that's a very good comparison, but hey, whatever sails your boat. However, your'e right. Michele Obama said, "do something" in regards to this subject. She also got caught making a nasty remark under her breath years ago. I think it was at her husband's inauguration, can't quite remember for sure. It's been a while. Anyway she said "all this over a fucking flag". Now there's a true patriot. I think it was Fox News that reported it. They interviewed someone that reads lips and body language as a profession. Perhaps you remember that. I'm sorry, but I don't take much stock in Michelle Obama's philosophy. But hey, you go right ahead and believe whatever you wish. More power to you. I think I'm gonna continue being lame, as you put it. I still believe Freeman said it all, "just stop talking about it". If that sounds lame to you, then so be it.

    Stories like this hurt my heart. Older white woman here. 3 sons by Filipino father. We became aware of a young man who had no where else to go. We became his foster family. He was a light skinned black guy but he had no relationship with his white father who killed his black mother when he was just a kid. 20 years later our boy is set to legally become ours. He's faced some challenges over the year and it infuriates me but I can't change others minds. I can only treat him as my son like his brothers.
