Apparently the open beta had ray tracing built in automatically with no option to turn them off for PCs. That could be why most of PC builds were struggling in performance since most older GPUs can't handle ray tracing. The last private demo before the open beta was released, the option to turn off ray tracing was available that the first private demos did not. So what we had access during the open beta test was most likely the same build from the first gameplay presentation. If it is true, then hopefully if Capcom releases an official demo, we can have the option to turn off ray tracing so more PCs can handle the game performance!
Lets hope this is true but looking at capcom's other most recent open world game (dragon's dogma 2) I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Whole that game did run a whole lot better and looked a whole lot better than this game at lower graphics it still had a LOT of performence issues. (I played it)
@@mcsoosh1822 I was able to play at medium-high settings on my PC and only on the open sand dune area is were my frame rate was above 60fps. Granted, my PC has RX 5700xt 8gb and 12th gen I7 with 32gb of ram. So my GPU was stretched close to it's limit but handled alright. A group of Chinese data miners were able to rip the 3d models of monsters and environment resources. Turns out that the monster models have at least over 800k polygons! That may also be why older PC hardware couldn't load the monster models well enough and why Capcom recommended that all PCs need SSDs to play the game. There are plenty of factors here but at least on my end, I don't have to worry to upgrade my GPU and maybe CPU as well for a while! ^^;
@@MyNamesMegatronI totally get what they mean. I upgraded my whole rig for this game. I’m still enjoying the upgrade in the meantime but it won’t be necessary until this game drops.
