Isn’t the story Adi Dassler bought exclusive rights to use the three strip overlays? Dassler Brothers used 1-6 strips for different models before adidas. Karhu owned the three strip tech. Adi Dassler had the idea to use the three strip overlay tech as his new logo linking performance to brand identity.
I’m a fan of adidas, Karhu, New Balance, Saucony and Walsh… sneaker history, in general.
